I bought a pretty inexpensive wallet here and after purchasing noticed the paint on the wallet was literally falling off. I am certain the consigners hadnt been paid yet and that such an item shouldn’t have been sold out, yet the customer service members refused to issue me a refund. I mean, such a hard line and poor customer service certainly doesn’t make me ever want to shop here again.

Worth a visit. Has a decent men’s section.

The problem with this store is that the employees here are so arrogant. Why would I bother shopping somewhere that makes me feel unwelcome... Go to the Lambertville Greene Street instead, where employees are much friendlier and they actually make you feel welcome.

High quality, wide variety of styles and most sizes, friendly staff. Parking is easy- use a public lot just *behind* store, take Vandeventer ave (called Washington rd on south side of Nassau) to Park Place, it’s on the right side, just walk thru alley behind shops to reach Nassau, aprox 20 seconds away.From Nassau st you can see it slightly, look btwn neighboring shop Mint Indian restaurant and Fruity Yogurt. The space btwn leads to parking lot.

Lots of selection here! Ladies, if you have a formal or prom coming up, I highly recommend checking out Greene St. Keep in mind the second floor is not just men’s clothes. They also have a great array of athletic wear for women. I got so many lulu’s from the second floor!That being said, I did not given t a five star for two reasons. 1) I think the prices are higher than Princeton Consignment given the inconsistent quality. Greene st wins at quantity, since there is just so much to choose from. Princeton Consignment for sure wins at quantity, also cheaper price! 2) the wait! The lines! Ugh if you go on a weekend, good luck getting someone at checkout. If you’re not in a rush, that’s great. I’ve seen angry costumers leaving since the line is too long.

Love the clothes and service here! Everything is well organized and well selected. The cashiers are super nice. Clothes are organized by size and type, but not by brands so theres often a nice surprise. I come here often just to see what I might find. Its very easy to sell things here, theyre very communicative. Love this store.

Came here just after labor day with my teen daughters we love it. I wanted to give them different ways of finding fashionable clothing without breaking the bank. Well be paying a visit soon.

Lots of fun, nice staff, and a great selection!This is also a great place to bring things you dont wear anymore to make some extra money...when your things sell, you get a check in the mail...if they dont sell you have an option for them to donate the items to charity for you or to go pick them up.

My first experience at Green Street Consignment in Princeton was great. Thats why I was really relaxed about consigning with them a second time. Good points; the staff is generally friendly 2. the store is run well 3. branding is great and the clothes are presented in a way that they sell. Not your typically second hand store.My second experience was not good.*consigned several items*aware of the 60 contract (and that you have time to pick up your clothes if not sold). *date slipped my mind.*called two weeks after/clothes has been donated.*Shared with NAN I was out of town with a sick family member*received a mini lecture about how it is not Green Streets responsibility to remind a customer about their clothes.*I didnt see it as a responsibility but as a courtesy* to make matters worse the items that sold I still have NOT received a check for.Suggestion for the owner Greene Street Consignment. Your business is growing, as it continues to grow... invest in a email reminder system for you customers NOT as a responsibility but as a COURTESY. Pay as much attention to closing the deal on the client experience as you do beginning it.

Overpriced in my opinion. Understandably, designer items are more expensive than non designer items, but quite a few non designer tank tops I looked at were $15. I couldn’t find any small cross body bag for under $26. Very clean, clothes are clean, expensive. Not your typical thrift store. More of a consignment style store which I now see is in the name on the building, but not in the online store listing. This was one of the first results for a search of “thrift store” hence my surprise upon arrival. It is a nice store, but more upscale.

This store is not a good place to consign your clothes. It is hit or miss as to what items theyll accept. The staff is very fickle about what theyll select, without explanation or sense. Ive consigned and sold clothing with them but they are simply not consistent or professional in their consignment policy. There are plenty of other stores in the area where you can bring your better clothing and make more money and be treated professionally.

I was interested in consigning for the first time and called ahead to ask if they were accepting items and if so, what. Person on the phone was friendly, but when I got to the store, the person behind the desk essentially lectured me about how they dont do consignments this late (an hour and a half before closing) and, after seeing that there was a pair of boots in the bag, said that they werent accepting any fall clothes and didnt even look at the rest of my items.Each consignment store is of course entitled to their own policy, however, this policy should be made more apparent to customers. Some of my items were designer and frankly I was given less of a high and mighty attitude at the designer stores than at this consignment shop.

Ive been to several Greene Street locations. On this occasion, I arrived at 7:30 and the store closed at 8:00pm. As soon as I entered, one employee commented to another only 39 minutes left. The started sweeping the floor immediately after that, then turned off the air conditioning and music at 7:40 pm. This felt very unwelcoming to me. At 7:45pm, they announced (although Im fairly certain I was the only customer) that the store was closing in 15 mins and to bring final purchases to the register. It was simply and rushed and unwelcoming experience. Cant say Ive been in another Greene Street location 39 mins before closing, but that was not how I was taught to treat customers in my retail days. I purposely came here as I prefer to shop consignment. It wasnt a good experience.

Alot of stuff jammed into a 2 story store. Public parking right behind the shop also. Pricing seems fair for most products.

I was surprised to have had such an experience at Greene Street Princeton. The selection of clothes is not bad, but they need improve when it comes to their customer service. I just witnessed a cashier yelling at a customer because she could not understand her English. Its one thing to insist on requiring a zip code for inputting a card-- its another to rudely and loudly turn away a customer because they did not have cash to pay rather than suggesting a nearby ATM. Witnessing this as another customer made me feel unwelcome and I decided not to purchase from the store.

The selection is small, but do offer some nice 2nd use clothing at reasonable prices.

This place has a serious disconnect between the merchandise their selling, a lot of which is worn our and poor quality, and the degree to which they will turn down quality items.....makes no sense. Very frustrating to try to consign with them. I have also seen them sell scarves for $18 that are sold widely on the streets of New York for $5.

People at the consignment desk were very rude to me. They were snobby and made me feel small-- additionally you only take 40% of the profit which is a huge rip off. Dont waste your time or money here.

Consignors beware ! Still waiting for my check on clothes that were dropped off four months ago.They told me there was a problem with their computer and the check is on the way, that was three weeks ago. Any reputable business would have cut the check asap and delivered it.

I went there with my friend. She bought a Burberry scarfe price for about $100. My friend thought it is good deal. But asked the store if it is real Burberry. They said yes. After my friend bought it, we were curious about if it is real true. We brought it to the other store to confirm if it is real. However, the label of Burberry was stitched slightly not event. The other store said..It is unlikely a authentic Burberry scarfe. Very disappointed... We called the Green store and informed them about the fake Burberry item. The person answered the phone said all sale is final ...No return.Dont buy designer items there. Not a honest store. Be very careful !!!
