I am in the area a few months for work and I came across this shopping center when I went to a yoga class. What a nice little discovery! Its a perfect collection of shops, Yoga, Ace Hardware, several choices for food, coffee, a pharmacy, and offers a park-like swing in the center with Cornhole, hopscotch, music on Fridays... Love it!

This is your classical Princeton outdoors hippy style shopping where the stores are literally peripheral to the center green space. I love this shopping center for its unique design that forces people who are in a hurry, to use the paths that cut through the green landscaped space in the center to get to their next store. You can get around this inconvenience by driving around like at normal mall since there is parking fully encompassing the property, but thats not very green of you ;)

I grew up behind the shopping center on Grover Ave, so this place was a huge feature of my childhood. Over the years it has gotten more and more upscale, with dinkier stores and restaurants replaced by fine dining and cafes. For awhile when I first moved to Princeton the public library took up residence here while the beautiful new building was being built. That spot became cursed after the library left, with bookstore after bookstore trying and failing to be profitable in that spot. I believe the storefront is an art space now. Probably best for the longevity of it. I was sad to see Bon Appetit have to close its doors - they had the most amazing curried chicken salad, and treats for my dad who has a lot of allergies were easier to find there than anywhere else. The shopping center is so much more than a strip mall fashioned into a loop. Its a place to hang out, a performance space, a playground and park (not Grover Park behind it, which has more or less always been as sad and decrepit as it is now). Stores may come and go, the facade may get paint jobs and face lifts, but the shopping center itself will always be a fortress of memories, a protector of young lives, a site of in-gathering for Princetons middle class families who cant afford (or dont want) to live closer to downtown.

Princeton Shopping Center has grown to be the most Culture eating and Shopping centers I know. But because of this Pandemic. Some stores was killed in there infancie of their dreams. And we are as a community respect their efforts. However, there are some Stores that remain as business as usual. So if you are looking for Groceries? McCafferys would be for you. And of course there is Dunkin Donuts and The New Bagel Nook. Just in case you need that Breakfast and lunch fixs. And now we have (PHOS restaurant for all of you who love soups. And for Pizza Lovers there is something for you as well. Princeton Shopping Center sits right on North Harrison St. In Princeton New Jersey. Off of Rt#1 north and south. It has plenty parking. Plus Handicap Parking. And it is also Wheelchair accessible. So come by and us a try. And always wear a mask in all there stores. Stay Safe with Social Distancing. And have A great time at Princeton Shopping Center.

I go there mainly because my dentist is above the supermarket. The entrances to all the retail shops are outside. There is a covered walk way to go between shops, but you are outside. While there is a nice variety of restaurants and small stores, I tend not to shop there because all the shops are a bit pricer including the super market (which is also smaller). In addition, the super market is not open 24 hours so you definitely want to check their hours if you decide to shop there.

Its not populated by gargantuan big box stores. This is a fantastic example of how a shopping center can be well integrated into a municipality and offer higher quality stores, variety, diversity, competitive prices, and personable customer service. The interior green and open space are relaxing, but you retain the fulfillment of being part of the active lively community around you.

Jordans is great! EVERYONE around here goes to Jordans when they need a greeting card, wedding invitation, supplies, candles, gifts, birthday candles, etc. (The list is too long to mention). Jordans brings a mass of people into the shopping center. What can the shopping center ownership be thinking to price them out of business! Surely it would be in their interest to have such a thriving, well-regarded store around to bring people in!

Mi
Review №86

Used to be 5 stars but several years ago the mall changed owners and interesting stores continue to vanish or are pushed out, replaced by the ordinary stores you could find anywhere. Latest unfortunate exit was 10,000 Villages. Recent addition was a chain mattress store. Yawn. At least Pizza Star is still there, one of the best in the area. (Then the mall brought in a chain pizza too, really? Fortunately Pizza Star has been too strong to kill, so far.) McCaffreys, upscale supermarket, also excellent, with great produce and seafood. One Of A Kind Consignment Gallery, upscale, spectacular, and great values. I very highly recommend. See them while you can, before all the stores are forced to become Starbucks.
