Dr. Plothow is the best. I wish I was more eloquent and I could write a better review.I remember him as my favorite eye doctor growing up, and I was so sad when my parents had to move to a different eye doctor because of insurance reasons. You better believe once I got my own insurance I ran back here.When I get my eye exams, I feel dont feel like just another patient there so he can make money, I feel like I am a valued person. He still remembered me after a 10 year gap between appointments. My eye exams are quick and painless. I had a Sty one time when I went to my appointment, and not only did he get rid of it and help me mentally prepare to get it removed, but he also explained what it was before he did so. I was a little hesitant when he said he needed to hold my eyelid up, but he was very patient with me and kind. Its always a little scary when some has to touch your eyes, and it feels uncomfortable regardless of who you go to, but I think Dr Plothow goes the extra mile to make you feel comfortable.Dr Plothow is a kind, intelligent, experienced eye doctor. I can be a tricky patient, but Dr. Plothow was super patient, kind, and professional. He took extra time to explain things since Im less experienced with glasses/contacts, and he really catered the entire appointment to what I wanted/needed. Highly recommend!

So sweet! We were out in Utah visiting my brother in school. We needed an emergency appointment and we were put in the very same day we called. Not only that but the staff stayed late with us and helped us choose a good pair of glasses! They were super friendly and very accommodating!

I change glasses every year. Before switching to Plothow getting a perfect eyeglass prescription was very hit and miss. Too often I could see better from some old glasses. I have now been with Dr Plothow for about 10 years and every prescription has been perfect and this has been through a period (late 40s) when my prescriptions were changing. Go there for no other reason than getting a perfect prescription for your eyes.

I had checked previously with another local vision company that was newer In The area and the Vision institute was a night and day difference between them in terms of their courtesy and professionalism—I would be willing to even pay more to have the better service experience here but the pricing was very competetive.
