My wife picked up some supplies for a dance class she has at college. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable. They have everything you would need to get started or if you are a seasoned dancer.
They are the only place near Provo that l sells the clogging shoes needed for BYU. However, they are SO hard to contact. I drove there twice, and although the hours said they should be open, they weren’t. A phone number was pasted on the door and website. I called it several times over the course of a week and not only did I never get ahold of someone, they never called back. Finally, another girl from a different dance company helped me find a secret website to order the shoes from.I’m now in the clogging class, and many of the girls trying to get shoes are also frustrated that the store is not open during store hours and tough to contact.:)
I just drove two hours to get a new pair of pointe shoes for my daughter. The girl is absolutely no help!! Every time I have been in they have been so helpful finding a pair to fit her. Today we can’t even get her to bring shoes or check the fit and now she has moved on to another customer. Totally irritating.
This place must do so well that they don’t need to be kind. The employee who helped us today was either having a bad day or had no business working in retail. I’m glad to support small businesses but not when I am berated for not knowing where they keep the inventory.
Very helpful! I dont have much dance experience, but they were great at helping me find what I needed.
I wouldnt recommend going here unless you know exactly what you need and where to find it. Took my son in for dance shoes and felt completely lost and ignored. We left and purchased shoes from Amazon for $50 cheaper.
They are so attentive and are always willing to help. They have so much inventory at great prices. I will always go here for my dancing wear needs!
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, good prices. They helped us figure out what we needed and explained so we understood
A small, but serious dance supplies shop. Great selection of point shoes. Also leotards and other supplies. The girls have been helpful at fitting point shoes.
One of the better dance stores around Provo. They dont accept returns (you can get store credit but no refunds) so 3/5 stars.
The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. We left with exactly what we needed. The dance shoes were fitted properly and the clothes have lived up to our expectations.
I felt like the selection of clothing, tights, and shoes was excellent for what I needed. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable in knowing what I needed! We were in and out in about 30 minutes.
They are great at helping male dancers!
Undeterred by the racks of leotards, I went in to find mens tap shoes. Not only did they have the size I needed in stock, they had two different brands to choose from. The price was a few dollars more than Amazon, but Id always rather support a local business when prices are close.
I have been going to this store for a number of years, but was disappointed when they started charging you to try on shoes. I run a dance studio and used to recommend that all my students go to DanceWorks. No more. One of my students reported that not only do they charge you to try on shoes, but they didnt have the right style for my student to take home. Still charged her just for trying shoes on.They dont understand some basic business principles. As a business, you should do all that you can to make someone want to shop there. When you nickel-and-dime to protect yourself from the minority, you end up driving away the majority.Take for example the little boutique in the mall that says No Returns, Exchanges Only Within 15 Days of Purchase. Yeah, Ive never returned something there, but Ive also only bought ONE item there, ever. This store is right next to another store that has a normal return policy. Even though I like the boutique items better, I have spent thousands of dollars at the store next door, because I feel safe buying something knowing I can return it. That safe feeling means that I actually end up buying and keeping way more items. Sure, theyre inconvenienced a little when I return something, but Ive spent so much money there that they get a HUGE profit. Anytime I go to the boutique, I end up leaving empty handed because my customer risk is too high.DanceWorks, by charging people just to try on shoes, sure, you might prevent a small group of people from going into your store and buying elsewhere, but in the end you drive away normal customers too. You seem to think that were all going in there to try on shoes and are magically getting them cheaper online. Well, guess what, your retail prices are pretty much identical to every online retailer. The chance that someone can even do what youre afraid of is very small, and most of us cant wait two weeks for shoes to ship anyway. Were coming to your store because we want to try on shoes and leave that day with a pair. So, unfortunately, I will not be sending my students to your store. I will be recommending another local business that doesnt charge to try on. If you revert to a customer friendly policy, my students will once again frequent your store.
I went here with the intent to buy supplies for my dance team. Because I work for the public school system, my purchases anywhere can be tax exempt. Before I buy anything I explain to the vendor that the purchase will need to be tax exempt and make sure they can do that for me. A young girl was helping me and when I explained to her my situation she had no idea what I was talking about. I explained further how I can have a tax exempt form printed for them and even have a code on the card I was using that could take out the tax. I asked her to ask a manager if that is possible and she said We have to charge you tax, its sort of the law. I was going to spend thousands of dollars there on shoes, skirts, tights and other things, but now I dont even think of going here now because this young girl had the audacity to assume I dont know how the law works and couldnt be bothered to ask her manager a simple question. I send my students elsewhere and I even go to places I know I will pay a little more because of this experience. They still have great products and things like that, but I experienced terrible customer service.
I go in this store for my yoga pants, there is a reason this business has been around for a very long time. They have quality product and the service is friendly and knowledgeable.
They are the best pointe shoes fitters in Utah.
Its so small and a lot of the clothes are outdated. Lucky if I find one item I like here
The only place to get freed pointe shoes in Utah county
Amazed by the selection of ballet shoes
Small and over priced
