This business does not have a legitimate office. The address is a printing business in Puyallup that according to the owner has been there for 40 years. A technician replaced the wheels that roll my garage door up and down, but In doing so, moved the entire door slightly to one side. Now when the door goes up and down there is a cracking sound where the door hits the track. I’ve called three times to the office and twice to the technician with no response. This company is not registered as a business in the state, nor is it registered with L&I along with another 1100 garage door companies. I trusted the ratings alone. Will never do that again!

There was a snag though, and due to misunderstandings on both sides, the incorrect door was installed. The repairman did not replace our broken belt. He simply reattached the damaged belt and charged $150 for ten minutes of work. Do not use this company. Absolutely insane.

I had a lot of questions lingering in my mind after my garage door all over sudden got stuck. I decided to call Dash Garage Door Company who informed me that might be the door opener that was faulty and sure enough that was the case when they sent their technician. It means that the technicians from Dash Garage Door know their job well and they certainly professionals.

BEWARE! I called a Dash Garage Door Company because of 12 five-star reviews on Google reviews. I setup a repair time with a range of 3 hours (8-11am) and was told I would receive a courtesy phone call 30 minutes prior to a technician arriving. I knew a spring had broken and was quoted over the phone a price range of 150-250. At the end of the time window and they hadnt showed up, I called Dash and was told by Phil that they were very busy and didnt understand how I was put on the schedule for that time frame. I rescheduled for 12-3pm the following day.The next day, without a courtesy call, a technician showed up in an unmarked van. Prior to starting any work, he provided the same quote of 150-250 for replacing the spring. During the repair, he recommended replacing the drums as they were old and worn. He said they were 65 each, 130 total. Im always skeptical of contractors selling extra, unneeded work, but I dont know much about garage doors so we went with his recommendation anyway. In my head, I calculate our bill should now be 280-380. The technician finished the repair and gave us a bill for 830! The technicians demeanor changed from friendly to aggressive and demanding. He wanted to be paid on the spot and was in a hurry to get to another job. At first he refused to let me speak with a manager.After reviewing the bill, I discovered two things that pointed to shady business practices. 1) First, we were charged 130 for the drums, plus labor on top of that. They claim this is normal business practices. I 100% disagree. When you get your car repaired, and they say it will be $100 to replace the starter, you expect a $100 bill plus tax, maybe a small fee for part disposal. They dont quote you $100 for the part, then charge labor, then add tax. Thats ridiculous. 2) Second, they replaced the second door spring without our consent. I understand that once one spring goes, the other will go shortly afterward but we have the pay the bill and get to make that decision. Then the technician claimed that my wife gave him the direction to replace the second spring, which is a 100% lie. The only direction he was provided was to replace one spring and the drums. Performing work that was not requested or directed and then lying about it is 100% fraud. Again, when you take your car in to replace the starter, they dont replace the starter and battery and then throw a huge bill at you! They ask if you want to replace the battery first.At some point during this, I called the Dash office back and spoke with Iris and said I needed to speak with a manager. I was told they were busy (no surprise) and that I would receive a call back. I asked for the name of the manager that was going to call me back and I was told it would be either Nate or Yosef. I was pleasantly surprised to get a call back fairly quickly, but the manager was neither Nate or Yosef. After some back and forth with this manager, I finally pulled out of him that he works for a different company and said they were a sub to Dash. He claimed this was normal for their business and I told him it is not normal business practices to intentionally deceive the customer on multiple counts throughout the process and sub out work without telling the customer.This review is based on Dash business practices, including the intentional deceit and missed appointment, not necessarily their work performance since another company performed the work.
