I am a Sr buyer for Trident Seafoods Corporation and we are an amazing company that expects and will accept nothing less than excellence for all our people and our partners throughout the Seafood Industry. I rarely post reviews, but in this case, I wanted to tell all who reads these about my very positive experience with Gerard Wood Products and how well they worked their schedule, not only around Tridents, but a third party vender Gray Lumber as well. To fully understand, I need to give a little background on the situation. When shipping Internationally as we often do, the pallets must be heat treated or customs will not allow the shipment. The HT pallets are done so, to prevent insects from transferring with the item being shipped. Pallets are supplied by Gerard, pre-stamped, but no vender I found in the US has lumber to build your own crates are available. It is not a typical situation, so stocking any lumber pre stamped would for the most part just sit and take up valuable space. So, with that said, I reached out to see if they could help me with this unique situation. Oh, and I had a week to be in compliance. The happy ending is that they not only contacted me on a regular basis, they did not rake me through the coals on price! In my position at Trident Seafoods Corporation, I need venders like Gerard Wood Products. They are reliable, price competitive and just a complete pleasure to deal with. Oh, and they made me look like a genius :) Thank you Gerard, for the great customer service!! We do get many other products from them with the same professionalism, but this situation was so unique and they made it all seem like it was just another day at the office, so I had to give them props.
