Fantastic shop! Although I wasnt able to find the exact hat I was looking for the selection was great. I was just super super picky. Helpful proprietor that went out of her way to help me look for the perfect cap and the friendliest door greeter in existence! Its worth a visit just to say hi to Stetson.

This store is awesome, they have a wonderful door greeter too, my kids always find nice wool socks here they need for the cold Minneapolis winters. My sister & I always find a few shirts to buy, and cute hats you will not find anywhere else. Great quality and nice people.

Was in there on Saturday and saw two hats I really liked. The woman working there seemed okay. Wanted to wait and think about it as they totalled $150.00... and then she became a bit pushy. Went back later that day and they were closed early. Went back again today with every intention of buying them. The woman didnt even greet me or respond when I said hello, was incredibly rude and then got very short with me and seemed like I was intruding on her valuable time and didnt belong there.I would guess hat stores dont do the best business and that they would want every sale they can get. I expect Copacetic wont be around very long with that kind of service. She lost a good sale and I wont be going back.At least her dog was friendly.

Im not sure why the previous reviewers are having a problem with this store. I have been going for years and never had a problem. In fact, I have had the opposite experience. The owner is always there waiting on customers and wants everyone to be happy and will do anything to accomplish that. I have no personal relationship with her or any other affiliation with the store other than being a random customer. I have sent friends there and they have shared my same experience.The price of some of the items are high and thats because its upper end merchandise. (Its not Walmart) Compare her products to like products and she is at the right price point.This is a small business and negative comments can be damaging. I support local small business and hope you do to. I urge you to have your own experience and see for yourself.

I have stopped there 3 days in a row during the posted open hours only to find the door locked and the lights off. So frustrating! I think they have lost a customer for good. This has happened several times over the last few years as well.

Great selection, excellent help. Stumbled across them during a First Friday, and theyre phenomenal.So is my hat.

If I could give them no stars I would! The owner is absolutely awful. She was rude and dismissive and quick to be nasty with her words. Here in downtown Racine local business are major supporters of one another and encourage them to strive, it helps us all in a whole with keeping the downtown area thriving. Copecetic is not one of those supporters apparently and I was completely appalled with her attitude! I would not recommend anyone to visit this shop!! Prices are absurd and customer service is horrible! This is one shop we, as a community can go with out. Espically with that kind of treatment! How rude. I will never step foot in that shop again and I will continue to tell others about my recent experience.

Copacetic is located in the heart of downtown Racine, Wisconsin on Main Street. The retailer carries an assortment of hats, caps, t-shirts, socks and multi-functional head wear. The owners even employ their dog, Stetson to greet you at the door.Although this eclectic hattery has a lot to offer, it has an Achilles’ heel: poor management and lack of customer service. The business hours on the door are listed as follows: Sunday: Closed, Monday/Tuesday: 11a.m.-6p.m, Wednesday/Thursday: 2 p.m.-6 p.m., Friday/Saturday: 11 a.m.-6 p.m. However, the owners are inconsistent when adhering to the posted business hours. As previous reviewers have mentioned, the owner, Mary Osterman, lacks basic customer service skills when dealing with the public. I have witnessed her treat customers with an insolent manner, my own family included. Numerous times, I have witnessed Mary and her husband, Monte bickering at the customer service counter in front of customers. When all is said and done, this store has lost another customer while gaining another negative review on Google, Yelp and Facebook. Perhaps the owners should seriously consider taking a Dale Carnegie Leadership Training Course in order to learn how to manage their business and provide customer service.

I had purchased two hats, one for myself and one for my fiancé. When we returned home with the hats she noticed that her hat was defective. We could not return to the shop that day but she called Mary and told her of the problem. Mary agreed to exchange the hat or order a new one and my fiancé asked that she order a new one. After several weeks we called Mary and she said that she could no longer order that style hat and would exchange. It took several weeks for my fiancé to return to the store for the exchange. Mary was not happy about exchanging it because it apparently had a smoke order, Mary said that she did not think she could put it back on the shelf because of the odor. She eventually agreed to exchange it but acted as though she was very inconvenienced by it. First I think that was very poor customer service. Second, why would she consider putting a known defective hat back out for sale? I planned on buying more hats, but it will not be from Mary.
