Its big thats for sure. I remember thinking though that they need to make the contracting pickup area bigger. Just because every homeowner buying a single piece of trim now thinks they deserve to use it like its the cool thing to do. I dont even bother anymore to be honest. I did like how theyre drywall section was layed out it seems like someone really put some thought into the best way to streamline it and noticed the top selling items where in front for easiest getting at. Good location too. I actually moved kind of close by because its easy to get around N/NW of Boston.
Always a great experience at Home Depot in reading . Staff is super friendly and extremely helpful! One of the managers Dave bunker made a lasting impression on me during my recent visit to Home Depot, helping me with lighting for my living room. Didnt have half of the rustoleum colors normally found at home depot, or the ones I needed. But everyone was friendly and very helpful.

THE Home Depot is the place to be if you need some tools! Originally known as the House Depot, where they sold items for your house and whatnot. Later upgrading to The Home Depot when they hired the friendliest and most knowledgeable staff, making it feel more like a home.Warning...dont go in here looking to buy a home. They only sell stuff to build a house and repair it. A common misconception, Im sure.Overall it is a convenient place to shop if you need a bit of everything.My daughter would give it 1 star because they do not have a Toy section.Overall good place to shop. I can always find what in looking for.
I was in Home Depot yesterday. I was looking for a special nozzle to put on my water barrel. One of the associates Made a call for me. The man that came to help me was named Chris. Chris went beyond and above to help me. I brought the part with me that broke. He found the nozzle I needed. I took it home connected it and it fit perfect. Thank you so much Chris. I was in the garden department at the time when they called him. He has excellent customer service knowledge and also his mannerisms were impeccable. Thanks so much for helping me Chris!
Waited politely at the paint counter for two employees to stop talking to each other so they could answer a question....but instead they walked away, knowing full well I was there. Sadly, this is not the first time this particular home depot has been a massive disappointment.
Very helpful personnel, I see more people compared to 5-10 years ago where I had to circle the aisles few times before finding items. Also the website has good coordinates (bin location) sometime I use the homedepot.com while being inside the store.The bin SD1 … SD4 for example means it is one of 4 corners of the aisle. I wish it would be explained on the website, but again the staff helped me to locate the spot.BTW, fun fact, in the days of toilet paper shortages the team at this location used to put barricades so that people would not buy it all shortly after opening. The sign would say “We are sorry, this department is temporarily closed”. I have to dig out the picture, but the thought always comes back when visiting.
Their website said my items I wanted to buy were located at such and aisle location and items were there. Employees knowledgeable and friendly when needed for questions.
Bunch of lazy workers. Went there to purchase snow blower and lawn mower, waited 30 min for one person to come and help me out, asked for help twice… so just buy from somewhere else, thank God there are too many other options
I regularly visit HD locations in this area. This one is always a giant mess - particularly in the building materials. Look at these terrible aisles! I was shocked. I know COVID is making things harder for businesses but this seems dangerous. If you need to visit a Home Depot - try another location.

Went to have a spare key made and it was a lot quicker than I anticipated. The key woman was very efficient and knowledgeable.
Not a problem with this Store. Just HD in general.shopping for an item, HD has it- I can have it delivered to the store for pickup by next Thursday, or delivered to my house by Friday. Does me no good when Im looking for it Today. How about NOT advertising a product you dont carry in store for immediate purchase? Im sure Im not the only person who feels this way. Frustrating as hell.
All Home Depots are about the same. If you can find staff theyre very good. Prices are usually among the best but not always. Check your local lumber yard some items might be cheaper. The main advantage of Home Depot is you can buy items in so many departments at One Stop. Best single feature their return policy.
I give them a 10 star! My husband and I went to Hone Depot in Reading, MA to look at some flooring and were immediately given great attention. Every time we went back there to get the flooring purchase and make some changes, we were extremely pleased with the way we were treated. One of the worst Home Depot’s I’ve ever been to. Customer service is horrendous you asked them for help and they tell you to look at your phone to seek out help unreal. Home Depot should be embarrassed

Store always stays stocked, I typically have no problem finding what Im looking for whether its on the app or asking someone on the floor. When you check out, make sure you find Theresa, shes the only competent cashier around.
I love that they carry Behr paint because in my opinion its the best paint. The woman who helped me today was very friendly and helpful. I took off a star because I wish that you could order your paint online for same day pick up, but for some reason it takes a week.

I hardly ever write a review but during last month I did some renovations at home and had to buy lots of stuff. All staff have been helpful but I’d distinguish Ben at customer service & Returns because, highly professional, very willing to help any way he could & excellent communication and imagine sometimes I had to be a translator between Ben and my brother who doesn’t speak English at all and he was so humble my brother never felt bad for his total lack of English except a please and Thank you.Can’t find enough words to praise and thank him.Thank you Ben !!!

We were very well attended by a gentleman who was very helpful and then he referred us to another gentleman who finished guiding us in buying the items we needed for the sink. I have had many issues with Home Depot. On more than one occasion they put the wrong product in the pick up lockers. Their stock levels are way off from what the app states. One product claimed 41 in stock and when I went there were none. I asked for help and a friendly worker did try to locate the product but could not.
Bad customer service! My boyfriend left his phone here, and came back the next day for it. The employee instead of handing it in to a manager, tried to unlock to phone so many times that it was permanently locked, had to go to a phone store to unlock it and lost to many numbers and pictures from it. That is just horrible customer service guys, why would you try unlocking a phone so many times to the point of causing damage TF?!

Chris Ham is the worst manager that Home Depot employed. The worst attitude the worst customer service. First thing he said when he supposedly came to help is what’s going on here ?? Direct to me. You don’t talk to clients like that Mr Ham you first introduce yourself and you say how may I help you Mr customer !!!! I felt really discriminated against and disrespected especially I had my 3 years daughter with me that was screaming. Chris shouldn’t be a manager with that attitude not even an employee of Home Depot because Home Depot is all about customer service and I bought 1’000ssssss of dollars and never ever had an issue.

5/25/2021. Every thing I needed was out of stock
Got an email, said my order was ready. Drove all the way to the Reading MA location. When I got there, they said there system was down and they couldnt check out orders. They said there was nothing they could do to help me and no way I could get my order now and I would have to come back. Had to leave without the item. I was at the Saugus MA location 10 minutes earlier and their system was down too. They were able to help and get my order.

This place is usually very crowded, which means that a lot of people come here but it also means that lots of stuffs wont get stocked. A few times that I came here last month, most of the things I needed were out of stock and no one knows when theyre back.
Some social distancing in place - at entrance & check out, but no where else in store. Had to correct cashier when she scan 1 product twice assuming 2nd item beneath it was same, when it wasnt, & she scanned it again instead of 2nd item. She finally realized they were different products & prices in similar packages. Guards up at check out, which was nice. And everyone wore masks.
Everything in stock that I needed... Im still pretty disappointed that Home Depot removed the veterans parking spots a while back....They DO, however, have a 10‰ military and veterans discount, which is ALWAYS appreciated.
The Home Depot in Reading, MA is clean... almost too clean. The set up is weird in that the front of store appears empty like that are going out of business and theyre isnt much left on the shelves. As you walk the aisles heading to the back of the store, suddenly it seems the store was shaken up and all the inventory bunched up in the middle. This Home Depot has a weird vibe.....

TL,DR... dont offer a service you cannot support.This would be no stars if that was an option. Tried curb side pickup. Phone rang for 10 minutes, no answer. Five minutes into the wait, my wife tried calling to see if I did it wrong, no answer. After 10 minutrs, and still on the phone, I walked into the store and was waited on instantly. When I said we have been waiting 10 minutes in our car trying to check in, was told doing the best we can. When I asked why not just pick up the phone and tell us that, the woman gave me the same answer, doing the best we can.

I had to make a big purchase here. They say that do not get over head items during the day time. They only do that at night. They made me purchase and come back next day to pick up the items. Next day I called the store and it was not ready for pick up. I told customer service about issues from previous day and he had no idea about policy. There are bunch of lazy guys at the store and they do not want you to buy items as they are not helpful at all. Particularly the manager there Steve is the worst. This store needs management change badly. Pro desk is really bad. When you call them they do not pick up the phone. Some times I try for hours and no one comes on the phone. When I go in the store they are not busy at all. Why they dont answer the phone? Matt at pro desk is the laziest guys I have seen. He pretends to be busy but when you go at the store he is just sitting down and chatting with the women there!! Pro desk needs management change badly.
I can always find what I need at home Depot, the staff always willing to assist or find someone that can..I think they train staff well..much better prices on many items than some of the competitors

I am currently stuck in a nightmare with Home Depot. After 10 years, I decided to finally get a patio set, I was so happy! I picked it out at the store then ordered online (couldnt fit it in my car).I ordered two Hampton Bay rocker gliders, a loveseat, and an ottoman. The first part of the order arrived, one of the rocker gliders. About 10 minutes after the huge box was dropped off, I was called by the store to tell me they didnt have the other one. No options, just sorry, we dont have itI call the customer service line and after 40 minutes of waiting, I get disconnected. I call again and wait another 40 minutes and finally talk to someone, they assure me its still coming. Great! I open up the box and put together the rocker glider and love it. Then the loveseat arrives, great.Then the ottoman was supposed to arrive, well tracking says it was delivered and I received a slipcover. So guess who gets to call customer service again? I call, they say theyre going to have to re-order the ottoman that I didnt get. Keep in mind, Im moving at the end of the month.I ask again about the rocker glider Im supposed to be getting, they say theyre sorry its not coming.So now Im going to be stuck with a single rocker glider and a loveseat. I cant fit it in my car to return. I never got an apology. I was never called about this problem before they delivered it to my house. Ive been lied to. Ive had my time wasted. Ive been outrageous frustrated and feeling like Im screaming into the wind, no one here cares.
I was completely irate after my experience shopping here. I work for a plumbing company and I had a very long list of extremely heavy word materials to collect and purchase. Some workers helped me load things onto the three carts of materials, some quite literally blatantly ignored my plea and walked away (seen standing around on their phone a moment later, so they weren’t busy obviously). Only one person was available to use the machinery to cut wood apparently and he had to help guide someone driving a forklift so I’d wait in periods of 20 minutes (not exaggerating) to have my wood cut. That wasn’t the end of it. The cashiers at checkout cashiers at checkout had no arithmetic skills whatsoever. They had misplaced their phone and needed the calculator application on it in order to do simple math. They spent about 10 minutes trying to find their phone. After all of that I head out and look for an employee to help load my purchased materials into our company van as I was told someone would help me... I went through THREE employees and had asked them all to please help because I had extremely heavy material to load. Two of them said they would find someone to come help and one literally said “ sorry I can’t” and smoked a cigarette the whole time watching me. It took me 35 minutes to load up my van. After I finally got everything in the van I was pouring sweat and frustrated. I did not expect such poor customer service and so much time was wasted. When we have high profile clients it’s extremely necessary that we waste as little time as possible. I was disappointed and quite frankly disgusted with the quality of workers I was forced to converse with.

Finally they seemed annoyed at me for not liking this treatment.I went there on 7/21 @5:20. Submitted my link that I was at curbside for my pickup. I received the Thank you, we will bring your items out shortly.Waited 30 mins. Used the txt number posted process. Waited another 15. Callled no answer. Curbside was not staffed.It was not busy at curbside. I called this AM requesting it to be delivered since the order is for nice plywood and i wanted to get it before the rain. The rep said uhmm no, its not possible because the order is filled, and that she wasnt working so, just try the process again.I am still amazed at how poor customer service is now. The customer made a purchase, agreed to your terms, followed your process and it totally failed. And the only response is I wasnt working?? Thats really sad. I purchase decking here, scheduled delivery and pay for it. Day off delivery no call no delivery show. I start calling and lady that worked that day was answering my calls, she was so rude and unprofessional and all she did good is lies after lie. Went back and get my money. Will never step in this HD again bad business

Had problems finding a part for my sprinkler back flow. John Kwan in the plumbing department helped find the parts. The exact part was not available, but he found me all the parts that could be added together to work as the part I needed.

Called the store in search of toilet paper for my workplace, the associate who answered the phone very abruptly yelled no into the phone and hung up... Or at least he thought he hung up, I then listened to the associate scoff at the many customers who apparently have called looking for the same thing today (lets be real its a national crysis right now) for about 5 minutes as he ran his mouth, obscenity after obscenity, insulting customers, suggesting that we use leaves or grass. Have some compassion, teach that to your employees, behavior like this is unacceptable during trying times.

This is hands-down the best Home Depot I have ever been to. I had specific questions that one of the employees and a different section help me with, and even pointed out a rebate that I can get from the state for the thermostat I was buying. The teller was also very good and polite and intelligent, giving me some ideas for ways to weatherproof the areas of my house for my kids like to play and would tear apart any plastic coverings for the windows
Great staff I needed a blind cut and guys got it done in just a few minutes even though I purchased at the Salem NH store.

This is close to my house and we use it a lot!!! Its a great lay out and has a big parking lot. Could be faster with sending the person in charge of exchanging propane. Have waited 10+ mins everytime. Also got a empty tank last time I exchanged and paid for 2 tank exchanges. Nice staff 👍👍👍👍👍
The women answering the phone handling curbside pickup is so rude! I understand you are busy but that does not mean you cant be kind in how you speak to a customer.
