I appreciate that there are always shopping carts put put away, they are doing a great job with that. Ive also had good experiences with friendly employees and a well organized store. Wish they would organize the store differently with separated aisles and an aisle in the middle of the store instead of the long aisles. Also came across some really dirty shelving units a couple days ago in the cream cheese and cheese area. And one evening around 10pm as I was shopping a couple months ago, a forklift operator made an unsafe move. It had at least 10 stacked toilet paper and paper towels on it with its platform raised when he started to drive. I was directly next to it and it swayed. He turned around and looked down and noticed me, and then lowered his platform. I believe I could have been seriously injured that night if it had all fallen on me. Yes, all of that is seemingly light, but falling from 10ft + and I already have neck problems, it wouldve hurt me.

They had what I wanted was able to find it easy. Except they dont allow alcohol in self checkout. Why? There is a checker that can check my ID. It makes no sense I have to stand in a line and wait. When the same guy that said no alcohol, could have checked my ID and saved me 5 minute wait. Some rules are stupid and need to change.

It was a new experience. I was shopping for my mother who has congested heart failure. And cannot have salt. So I had to be selective, read every label, and I found everything, just about on her list. I give kudos to foodmaxx for having the low sodium products. I wish every store would keep in mind the disabled who have special diets. A lot of elderly are not aloud to have salt, and notany stores keep stock of such items.

We travel through Red Bluff yearly from Oregon to visit family. We are retired grocers and found this little gem 4 years ago. Today we met Kathleen a wonderful employee of the store who shared its history with us. What a wonderful asset to this business she is. Great store, great employees, including Kathleen !!

There was no cows liver. It was the biggest thing we were looking for. They usually always have liver :(

Its family store to me every one working there is my brother or sister I love the way they help the customer with beautiful smile I love to go there if for only can of soda to have fun every day I go there everything in the best shape and very clean the price is very good

Shopping there is good. Its just kind of a big store so I have to use a riding cart and they are usually always available. They also almost always have good prices too.

Usually the best produce in town, but yesterday it was the most beautifully marbled rib eye steaks for $7 a pound, ... so I bought 5lbs 😍

Every time I go in the self check out is closed and only 2 registers are open. You cant call the store because they dont answer the phones. Absolutely the worst store in red bluff to shop at

Food Maxx has always been a great place for grocery shopping and more. I have never had a question about a product that wasnt answered, and usually recieved item specific information that was interesting and useful. The staff is always friendly and eager to help. There prices are lower on most products especially when you compare quantity.

Aww! The staff is really easy going, a lot like a little community. For it being a small-town shopping grocery store they are always having new product. Love love love the organic section. A big plus is that the 🚻 area is very clean and fresh. The parking is good. Absolutely feel like I can take my time shopping here.Thank you.

Nice store, friendly service and is well stocked. There is plenty of parking. Its located in a well lit and easy accessible area. They have large automatic sliding doors for easy entry and exit. 👍

I want to thank Foodmaxx Red Bluff for helping me through the pandemic. When other stores were harrassing and denying entry, FM encouraged but never once made me feel awful or embarrassed about not being able to wear a mask. The cashiers are always friendly.

I love shopping food Maxx they have good meat prices and deals! Plus they carry pool supplies all year long!!!

It has always been clean and the people have always been super nice and helpfull.

The store is as good as ever, but tonight a cashier closed her register just as 3 full baskets lined up in front of me and left one cashier to check us out. It took almost 20 minutes to buy 2 items (and of course, they STILL shut down the self check-out at night, showing that the corporation really doesnt care about its customers.

We stopped in to get tarter sauce and potato salad. Checked out their meat and veggies, full of good looking stuff, the TBone steaks looked yummy. I think were going back to do some serious shopping.

I believe that if you want some of the best produce and meat around you should go here. They always have great prices and the wall of value.I have been going since it was originally a Luckys grocery store.The staff here is very friendly and helpful. They all know where everything you are looking for is.

I try to find a reason to be irritated with a super sized grocery store but this ones usually pretty nice and well stocked. Way to go FoodMaxx

I used to do all my shopping here but they never have enough checkers and the lines are always long. Its not the employees fault because they all work quickly (much faster than Walmart checkers). When FoodMaxx put in a self check out I was excited but if you even breathe on the bagging area while youre scanning it requires a checker to leave their line and reset your station and this happens 4 times every time I try to check out. Im not going to come back to FoodMaxx until they hire enough checkers or improve their self check out because its so dysfunctional it feels like a joke.

Great selection prices around, the crews and nanagement are very friendly and knowledgeble.

Decent prices, but poor customer service. For example, today our cashier kept walking away without saying a word while checking both the person in front of us out as well as when they got to us. Didnt say a word about relatedly leaving or why and didnt apologize for the wait when shed come back :/ It was bizarre.

I enjoy shopping there. But then again, Im familiar with the layout. Getting too many generic items. Kind of a lot of homeless people hang out by The Doors or the side at night.

Great food selection with decent prices. Facilities are a bit aged, but they keep it clean. Food freshness is so-so, but good for the price. The shopping center around it isnt that great due to there being people that ask for handouts most of my trips.

The self checkout machine was on the fritz. It wouldnt take my EBT card and then overdrafts my bank account when it spit out cash back that I didnt ask for!!!!

I use the reciept to get points but my apps wont except the poor quality of the reciepts. They are so faint with ink you cant read them

In the past I had given them five stars but Im taking that back and give him three. I still like the store they still have great deals on meat a lot of the times but some of the meat specially the chicken has become real low quality and theyve changed their adds to where theyre hardly have anything on them anymore.

There are a lot of good prices here but not all are deals. Best to know pricing of other stores in the area to make sure you get the best deal.

Prices are high they cant seem to figure out how to wic there and they feed stray dogs that growl at people but on the good sides they have vary friendly staff clean store.UPDATE ... They have since fixed the issues with the wic. and the prices are still a little high comparing but they really are not that bad as far as price goes

Its all about timing hereBut to be safe go after 7pm. This big box grocery store has a great fresh vegetables area also great fresh fruit. The meat department,is large with a variety of cuts to choose from. The prices are on average 10% cheaper then standard grocers such as Safeway,holiday etc,

Love it here, they open early so as to get your shopping done before its to hot.

Dont shop here often but they have good prices.I had trouble locating some items in this store.

Milk, cheese etc and some of the meats are a bit high, and without a bulk station for flour,sugars spices cereals etc.. you are spending more for your buck. On the other side, they have some of the best produce in Redding. It would be a great place to pop in for a few quick items for dinner or breakfast

Fantastic ... my wife thought we had about $700 in the basket and when we checked out the total was $485. Woohoo.

A really decent grocery stop. Good selection. Most employees friendly. Wish there were more health options. Bobs Red Mill, gluten free, etc., very limited.

Layout of store is not organized in a manner i am used to. Great signs above each isle helped a lot. Prices are somewhat higher than i am used to paying. Friendly staff.

Great selections on food love this store

Its cleaner since the remodel but (1) The meat has downgraded and the butchers like to hide all the bad fatty meat under one slice of good meat which is a real disappointment (2) The produce Dept is set up very narrowly making it hard to move around and find what youre looking for but thats the plus side to the produce Dept because when you do find the produce your looking for its wilted, rotten, or soft and whatever you find that looks decent wont the next day. (3) they have 8 check stands and mostly only ever have 3 or 4 open resulting in huge lines running down the front aisle. The highlight of the store is the staff who is about a 50/50 sometimes you get that great checker that loves customers, and sometimes it feels like youre ruining that checkers day by just going thru there line.Overall the store has adequate parking (though kind dirty), plenty of grocery carts, bad produce Dept, bad meat Dept, I really only like this store for there dry goods and there low-med prices!

The checkers are friendly and the store doesnt often move items around. The prices have seemed to go up on products and they could use another checker or two during peak hours to reduce lines. I prefer a checker over self check out.

Service members were helpful, the store was clean and the checkout was fast.

Its a great place to shop for food. They have a Redbox kiosk and a coin star kiosk. Also its in a strip mall so paying your phone bill or working out to having lunch or even getting a haircut. Have fun shopping to the Maxx

Good grocery store close to RV Park.

Not all the employees are wearing a mask, and are not enforcing wearing masks. Sure, people naturally walk away from others, but there isnt much distancing during checkout.

As always staff was courteous, kind, helpful and proffesional . check out was quick . prices great . easy to locate what i needed and all prices were clearly marked .
