My husband and I both sat for a class with Andrew at Nice Shot. It was informative, interesting and enjoyable. Safety was of the upmost concern. Those of us in the class were socially distanced with air filtration and an open door. Andrew is very personable and his instruction was clear. I recently took the mandated ccw renewal class at Nice Shot. This is the forth such class for me and this time was just as pleasurable as all the rest. The instructors were very knowledgeable of the ever changing CA and County regulations. They were friendly and more that willing to answer any questions asked. The staff behind the counters were equally as friendly and knowledgeable. The indoor range completed the training with a one stop class. I highly recommend Nice Shot.

I completed Andrews renewal class. Relaxed environment and informative.Nice hands on loading and unloading various types of handguns and clearing jams. Great place because of the ability to shoot indoors out of the cold and rain. I have renewed with nice shot for years, first time with Andrew.

I am really impressed with my firearms instructor, Andrew. His expertise with firearms and the law always amazes me. This was the 3rd time with him as a leadership coach. He is VERY good at explaining the proper use of multiple weapons. He works extremely well with first time shooters to expert marksmen. Little did I realize that I would have to use his training less than 24 hours after my recertification. I had a drug crazed intruder come down the highway to my property. He went through two barbed wire fences and two electric fences. My training gave me the confidence and knowledge to use less than lethal force to redirect the intruder off my property and into the hands of law enforcement.Thank you Andrew & Nice Shot for protecting America and our freedoms, on CCW at a time.

Ive been taking renewal courses for over 20 years both in Florida and California. Mike teaches in a comfortable and interesting manner (thats a tough job considering most of us have been through a lot of classes! ). He brings real world experiences and examples that only law enforcement can. The inhouse shooting range is a huge benefit! No traveling to a remote location. Really good class!

I have had my ccw permit since 1981.Class was very professional and made good use of time allotted.I would recommend Nice Shot to my friends. It was nice to be able to qualify right there on premises. I plan to renew my permit there in future. Instructor was very knowledgeable and affable. Best class I ever had. Only thing they should have hand outs with new laws and regulations, since they didn’t have the booklets used in some classes.

Approximately six months ago, I was hoping to familiarize myself with handguns, so I contacted most of the instructors and firing ranges that popped up on google for the Redding area. Nice Shot was the only range that replied to my voicemail, and I am glad they did.My girlfriend and I took the introductory handgun class and the CCW class (initial for me and renewal for her). I was pleased with all of the instructors I have been able to work with at Nice Shot, and would recommend that anyone use their services.The instructors are willing to spend as much energy and effort in training you on proper shooting technique as you are willing to put in to the session. In addition to how much the instructors care, they are particularly gifted with working with individuals during their sessions and ensuring that the individuals are not overwhelmed or intimidated by the experience.As stated above, I have taken two classes here, and I most definitely intend on taking the defensive handgun course when it is next offered.

Two years ago I took Andrews 8-hour CCW renewal training and found the class so educational, practical and effective that I signed up again for my upcoming renewal. This time, Andrew and Lori teamed up to give a lot of one-on-one coaching and training to the students. The two trainers work well together and keep the class moving a good pace while sharing all of the update laws with the class. Great class, would highly recommend.

Laurie and Andrew are amazing instructors and so knowledgeable on gun safety and laws. Laurie helped me work on my handgun techniques and really improved my accuracy on the range. Highly recommend!!!!

I completed Laurie and Andrews CCW renewal class a couple of months ago. It was interesting especially the clearing a stoppage technique. Class participation was encouraged which added to the learning experience. I need more practice and definitely will be back to utilize Nice Shots air conditioned facility.

Im a 66-yr.-old woman, and just bought my first gun. Staff is helpful and safty-conscious. The facility is functional and well-stocked. Prices are reasonable (except ammo) and they offer trainings as well as many other services snd goods.

Laurie and Andrew presented a nice concise and effective class. Good upto date information about all the changes in California law and other states. Their help in gun holding and foot position allowed me to qualify with four of my handguns.

I have done full CCW trainings in both Texas and California. This shorter renewal class by Nice Shot was by far the most interesting and equipping I have taken. They also were very helpful when the battery died on my laser. As an added bonus, the entire training is in the air conditioning, which is nice when the outside temperature is 107 degrees.

Andrew and Laurie are great, patient and informative. I highly recommend them as instructors, especially if you have no experience! They make everyone feel comfortable and safe.

Had a great experience for my CCW renewal. Liked the hands on during the class. Very informative. Liked the indoor shooting range except the humidity-my eye protection fogged and I was soaking wet well before we finished. 😣

Additionally, its very convenient to be able to walk a few feet from the classroom to the range to complete the qualifying portion of the renewal course. I really enjoy Andrew’s teaching style. He provides info that is current and relative to the world we live in and balances his sense of humor with a dose of reality that makes him interesting to listen to. He appears to connect on some level with each student in the class and has situational awareness that makes him a “top shelf” instructor IMHO.

Cant say enough about the trainers Laurie and Andrew. Very helpful and knowledgeable about current law in Calif. Thanks for an awesome class and the helpful shooting tips.

Just finished my CCW renewal course with Andrew and had a great time! He was very informative and interactive. It was kept fast paced and interesting but he was willing to answer any question in detail if you required it. The live fire shooting was varied and revealed a couple of weak spots in my technique which Ill work on. You can never practice too much or know enough. Great class!

Ive taken my CCW refresher course with several different companies and have found that Nice Shot is my top rated! What I really like is that they engage the students, give up to date information, have time to answer questions and also give you range time. I needed some instruction in my stance and the instructor was extremely helpful which improved my abilities with my handgun! Andrew Hackett is a grade A instructor, he made my 12 hour day interesting, enjoyable and and time went by fast, hes got a great sense of humor and insist on any questions being asked at any time he goes over so much with you and wants to make sure youre understanding it all, and if not hes a patient man and helps you out. 12/02/19 - Michael and Andrew are very knowledgeable, friendly, all being necessary for good teaching and bringing about class participation. They actually make it fun as possible the time required by CA being what it is. Being able to shoot and complete the class all in the same facility is a big plus also. Cost was the same as all other renewal classes I have attended. You will enjoy this experience. This is my second renewal at Nice Shot. Once with Andrew and once with Michael.9/25/21 - Just finished my third instruction class with Nice Shot. It was very profitable for relevent knowledge. Instructor was Andrew this time. I am very happy with all the information I am getting while spending time in this class. Many things that are very important to know. This class could be boring if it wasnt for really good, well versed people feeding me information. I dont think you could ever go wrong here.

Lot of great classes and training courses to get you shooting safely. Air conditioned range, high quality rentals,soda machine,safe friendly place from enjoying recreational shooting,to getting a ccw certification. Good place for new shooters or people who haven’t shot in years to brush up on their skills. Who doesn’t like to here some pops and see some holes rip up some paper!!!Never gets old! You can always switch to a 12 gauge and really rip some paper!And if your taking a course the instructors never make you feel board of the material.if your in driving range, you defiantly need to take a trip down to nice shot, especially on those hot CA days!!!

This was my first renewal, and found it to be better than my first class. I dont have much to compare to but this second one was well paced, informative, and funny in parts if thats possible with the seriousness of this preparation. A good refresher with up to date info.

Attended my CCW renewal class at NiceShot with Andrew as the instructor. He is a great firearms instructor and I am very pleased with this class. I have been using their shooting range and taking their CCW training for a number of years, and will continue to do so.

The prices for renting guns is great at $10 a gun and then to rent a shooting lane is only $15 and you can shoot for however long you want! Its great! The customer service is awesome as well, they are willing to make sure that you are set and ready to go! I highly recommend it!

Lots of lane availability at 6pm on a Wednesday. Lanes are nice with good down range lighting. Attendant was friendly and efficient. Definitely shoot here again when I am in town.
