Recently called regarding some PUP on a personal machine and the price for malware removal. I talked to Aaron (or Erin or some variation) and he gave me phenomenal advice based on my description of my problem. He told me a probable fix that I could do myself. After following his advice, I can no longer recreate symptoms! Now Aaron definitely could have just recommended I bring it in for an easy $100 or so and 2 minutes of work, but hes better than that. Go to Sound Micro.
Took my laptop here to fix a fan issue. It was very quick and convenient. The laptop is under the one year warranty and I didnt have to pay for anything. I would recommend Sound Microsystems.
I have worked with Aaron for about 7 years as a vendor, and a customer. He is always calm, pleasant, and responds to my calls and emails immediately. I would not be too concerned about any poor reviews you may find, as some people are just impossible to please, or do not have a full understanding of technology. I would not hesitate to work with Aaron again.
Screen went out on my laptop couple days before extended international travel. Aaron literally dropped what he was doing to help. Dig through their inventory first (so we wouldn’t have to order), found one!, and installed. All in less than two hours. Review long overdue - have always received excellent service from Aaron and pricing very fair and competitive (have bought a couple machines from them too). Thanks again Aaron, that was huge!
I had issues resetting Windows on my machine and suspected a hardware failure. Took the machine into the shop and promptly (next business day) received a call explaining what the issue was (failed ssd) and the cost of the replacement + labor. I chose to replace the component myself, but I was happy about the prompt and correct diagnosis, and I feel that the $60 diagnostic fee was fair. Id go back to these guys again with future issues.
I have known Mike for almost 15 years, and he had always been and continues to be a very skilled troubleshooter and a really great guy. He makes sure he understands what your needs are before making suggestions or recommendations. He wont ever steer you wrong or do anything that will waste your time or your money. He really does care and it shows in his work and the success of the business. I strongly recommend if anyone needs any sort of computer, whether laptop desktop, tablet, etc., that they go to sound microsystems prior to making a final decision. I am sure that anyone that works there will make it worth your while to stop in and speak with them.
Fully satisfied with customer service. Two nice happy guys work there. I had problem I had problem in Lenovo 920 yoga laptop. Repair was expensive but their valuable suggestion to bill credit card company was worthy. I saved big amount of money. They are fast and polite. Free parking available but entrance and exit is tricky. But dont worry google maps will take you thhere
I had a warranty fix there. It was fast and high quality repair. Will go there again.
Visited this location with my Thinkpad T440s. I have found the service efficient and helpful. My entire problem with the laptop isnt fixed but theyve offered to look at it again this week to see if they can figure out why the sound isnt working. Recommend, especially since theyre the only authorized Lenovo dealer in the area.
The technician, Brian was very helpful. Pricing is straightforward and reasonable.
This place is a disaster. I dropped it off because after a windows update, I couldnt get widows to load. They never called with an update. Finally I called, maybe three weeks later, as it isnt my main laptop for us. Oh, they said. They admitted they didnt know where it was and would have to call back. When they did, it ws 24 hours later to tell me that they needed to reload windows on it. I told them Windows 7. Its a Windows 7 machine. I had to call back again to find out if it was done a week later. It was lost again.Had to look for it. Finally the guy on the phone says its done. When I picked it up, the guy couldnt find it. It also wasnt marked as complete, so he didnt know if it was done or not. When I took it home, I was surprised that it had Windows 10. I complained about Windows 7 update. They didnt listen, and uploaded Windows 10. I need both a Windows 10 and Windows 7 machine for work. I called and complained about that. I was even more surprised that half the apps werent downloaded, plus drivers, such as the driver for my DVD player. I know its old, but it should have what it came in with at the very minimum. All that, and all they had to do was re-load an image of Windows 7. They dont have any idea what they are doing. Stay far, far, FAR away from this place. Send it back to the manufacturer if you can. If not, good grief, even Best Buy is the same as this horrendous place.
Helpful staff and very good at what they do.
This is only place where I called and they actually were happy to help me right away, I had critical situation where I couldnt get any access to my server and all my business was down for 10 hours.
This guy replaced the main board on my blue-screening Lenovo laptop (under warrantee). When the problem wasn't resolved, he diagnosed it as being "a software issue" and charged me $200 to re-install my operating system. When THAT didn't work, he said it needed another main board! No fix, and no refund of my $200. Save your time and money. Ship your warrantee repairs BACK to Lenovo.
Emailed requesting advice on warranty. They just didnt bother responding.
Great, service with a quick turnaround.
