They always have good prices and deals. And huge selection too. Sometimes it can get pact but if u got later at night its easier. They staff are friendly and helpful too. Keep up the good work guys

Ordered food from here (catered). Super pricey. They calculated my total I gave a deposit, came next day was charged more than the remaining balance. Pointless to argue with them because they want to just blame the other employee that helped me with the order. Dont get me wrong the food is good but its same price to have a Taco person to come to the house. Feeling like money just went to waste.

Small local supermarket. Limited assortment but with lots of tortillas, chips, salsas and Mexican ingredients. They have fresh meat&shrimp counter (butcher). Price of the meat is not the cheapest but also not most exoensive, and the butcher can give you the cut you need. Every week they have some meat discounted too.Besides supermarket, they also have a Mexican food service where you can get hurt, tacos, soups...again not the cheapest, but this place always smells so appetizing it is hard to resist...dont go shopping on an empty stomach!!Only negative side (besides limited parking, but its a small/local supermarket after all, come by foot :p) is that the cashier is the same for groceries and meals, which is confusing and might lead to longer waits on lunch/dinner time.

The Supermarket in its name is a stretch, they are really a carniceria with a taqueria and small selection of other groceries.Their meat selection is awesome, all very fresh and a wide variety.The taqueria is good, but it used to be much better. They recently increased the prices and made the portions much smaller (they weigh out each serving of meat?).There is a small produce section with the essentials (onions, tomatoes, tomatillos, peppers, herbs, spices, etc.), and a decent selection of dry goods and dairy products.

Went here for a traditional Mexican breakfast and boy was it worth it. Super Burrito is amazing and if you get the Beef and Veggie soup be prepared for a VERY filling bowl. Also, the selection of bread is amazing if youre looking for that after breakfast dessert with your coffee.

Chavez is a treasure! The best, freshest meat anywhere for grilling! You can buy meats like Asada or El Pastor pre-seasoned, then toss on the grill for 2min and its amazing! Or, get it bare and add your own special touch. The restaurant (while a bit small) has the most delicious food in the Bay Area! I drive from Fremont, across the Bay, just to get a couple of the famous Super Quesadillas. DELICIOUS! Everything is fresh, guacamole is made there daily. Portions are decent. Ive been a customer since 2003-2004 and absolutely love it! I highly recommend everyone try this place at least once! You wont be disappointed!!

Delicious tacos and burritos. Super clean Mexican market. Throw the burritos together right there in front of you. Fresh and flavorful ingredients. I always stop by when I am in the area. Parking sucks sometimes, but its worth walking a block if you have to.

I used to go the the one in Redwood City growing up. It was my favorite place to grab Mexican food. I stopped in to get the burrito I loved as a teen and was highly disappointed. It had no flavor, I think cardboard would have been better. I took a few bites and my hubby warned me that it didnt smell like I should eat it... So I didnt finish it. I tried to give it to my dog; my dog who will eat anything, wanted nothing to do with this burrito. I didnt feel too great from what I did eat. I cant imagine how sick I would have been had I finished it. Im still disappointed. Ive been craving their chivo burrito for a really long time.

I went to Chavez Supermarket to purchase lunch from their taqueria. I took a look around the store while I was there and thought that it is a well run market and taqueria. The taqueria had a broad array of choices . I ordered a burrito and it was made to my specifications similar to Chipotle. They also have a pretty large fresh bakery cabinet. I was very happy with my apple turnover. It was fresh and crispy and had good flavor. The people there were friendly. There was a reasonably large area to sit at tables. I was happy with my visit to Chavez Supermarket.

Their prices, selection, and quality are excellent, as is their store brand items. I find the app very helpful in locating items and planning meals for the week.

Great local grocer franchise with lots of selection for the essentials. Incredibly small, with a very helpful staff. Good butcher and bakery as well as taqueria with in-store dining. Harris Ranch meats.

This Chavez Market is miniscule compared to the others but it is so much better than them. The staff was super friendly and the other patrons were smiling and chatting amongst each other. 180 degrees from what Ive experienced at the one on 5th Ave. The burrito was just ok but being treated like a valued customer and having some good banter with the cooks makes a so-so burrito taste like a top o the line .

All Chavez markets are good, but Norfolk st. Is the best. Everything there is 1st rate. Try the Taqueria 4 lunch n ice cream after. 😎

I love their food and service. This place has always been around since I was a kid. I drive from Sunnyvale if Im in the mood for a super burrito from Chavez and any other goods.

All Chavez markets have gone mainstream and the prices are higher then safeway now. I only like getting my sweet bread here thats it.

Get ready to get greeed by the rudest cashiers. Theyre always in a horrible mood and act like of theyre doing you a favor by giving you your change back. Just the cashiers though The managers and the other workers are nice.

So good, they dont speak great English, but you can point and gesture what you want and dont want. Its so good, and theyre reasonably priced and very friendly...

Im always interested in finding a good burito and these guys definately delivered. Good portions, reasonably priced, and great taste. I was particularly fond of the meat seasoning - not bland at all. I could have gone for a hotter salsa, but no complaints.

What it lacks in size it makes up for in character and quality. Fresh produce, meats, tortillas, and a full taqueria inside.

I love their food & it hasnt been much of a problem until I went there this time (to get a taco for my dog-she just lost her sissy & I wanted to cheer her up a lil- so NO ONION) & I dont speak Spanish & so I was trying to ask the man what was in a normal taco & he couldnt understand me so another woman (employee) tried to help but she had difficulty understanding me also but in the end I DID END UP WITH A TACO WITH NO ONION... CARNE ASADA, CHEESE & CILANTRO... was kinda shocked at price $4 for 1 freaking taco😮 guess cheese was extra still my 🐕 loved it!!! Their food is delicious, just service is hit or miss unless u speak Spanish 😑

Been stopping by here since the 90s. Burritos are flavorful but more recently they have decided to weigh the meat ingredients and raise the prices so the value is not as good as it used to be, so I do not stop by as often ;also excellent horchata.
