I paid $4k for Peninsula Irrigation to get rid of an old and leaky drip irrigation system in my mulched areas and replace with more durable hard pvc piped sprinklers. They “completed” the job in Feb 2020, but left the without connecting the sprinklers, let alone walking me through for acceptance. So for many weeks the sprinklers wouldn’t turn on and I thought they were still working but just taking forever. When they finally come back to hook them up and collect payment we did a walk through. I noticed that they got lazy toward the bottom of the yard & did not install enough or well placed sprinklers. Example they put in 1 sprinkler head at the edge of my lawn (right next to the lawn sprinklers - presumably because it was easy to just tap into those) - spraying into the mulched garden and expected to reach trees & plants that are ~15’ away. (The Bay Laurel trees are now dying). However I was late paying the bill and felt badly so I just paid it. The outrageous water bills continued.Today as we are doing some more remodel work in our we yard the crew pulled up one of the “sprinklers” that supposedly had been installed with pipe and we found that it’s attached to the old drip system! The tubing even has what looks to be a drip hole in it! When I contacted Peninsula Irrigation and showed them a picture they tried to tell me this is “flexible PVC” and it’s a “perfectly appropriate alternative” to the hard PVC pipe that I paid for. Also they tried to claim that it must have gotten punctured AFTER they did the job (while it was buried).Robert who was responding to my emails repeats that they will not accept my offer to rectify the sprinklers - they will not be doing any more work on my property. He also admonishes me for reaching out to complain about. Job that was completed a year ago. I guess the expectation is that I would have dug it all up for inspection immediately. So I’m curious now — If flexible PVC is so easily punctured that it has a hole (that looks exactly like a drip hole) 1 year after installation, HOW is it a perfectly appropriate alternative to the hard PVC sprinkler system that I paid for?Happy to share more photos and videos.Don’t recommend.
