My husband and I were very happy with our experience here. We had gone to a dealership in Idaho Falls a couple days before and had had a negative experience since the manager there told us a lot of lies in order to get us to buy a car. They even lied about the suggested price of the car by Kelley Blue Book (I double checked Kelley Blue Book myself). I saw all the positive reviews on Smart Cents Auto Sales and decided to give it a shot. Super glad that I did, Alex is a very honest and genuine person, and gave us a super fair price on the car that we wanted. I love my car! I would 100% recommend buying a car here, you cant get the quality and the price anywhere else.

Holy mackerel what a marvelous experience buying a vehicular machine from Alex at Smart Cents. Seriously, he helped me out so much. When I first test drove a car, I noticed a funny noise. I told Alex about it and he went ahead to go above and beyond, to switch out the wheel bearings on two of the wheels, and have the tires balanced and aligned so I could come back and test drive it again. When I came back to test drive it a second time, the car drove like a magical fairy drifting through Neverland. Thats a good thing. Throughout the whole experience Alex was very down to earth, and fun to work with. I felt comfortable working with him and he got me the best deal I could find in the area. It is very clear to me that Alex is one of the greatest human beings in existence on the planet Earth at this current time. I would come back to Smart Cents again, no question.

I was looking for a car for my son. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money but did want to get a decent car. I heard of Smarts cents from a friend. I looked there number up and called the office and someone picked right up. I went to there dealership and the lady was really nice. I think her name was Bree. Anyway they didn’t try to sell me something I didn’t want just what I was looking for. I really liked that because most dealers try and sell you something that you don’t want just so they can make a big commission. Well I ended up leaving the lot with a great car for a really good price. The titles are rebuilt but you would never know they were ever damaged. You get a lot of car for the price you spend. Smart Cents auto is my new go to for cars.

Awesome guys, great cars and low prices. I am an student at BYUI and I have been looking for a decent sporty looking car but I didnt have much money to afford one. The local dealerships in town had ridiculous prices with high mileage cars that I know from experience they wont last me much. This guys are small but their prices are awesome, as well the cars they sell. Low miles, low prices, friendly staff and not pushy like the long hair weird guy from the corner. Very happy with my car after 2 months and I recommend these people to anybody looking for a good car !!

It was a little tough to get a hold of the the people initially to look at vehicles, but when we got there he was a lot of help. He wasnt super pushy for us to buy a vehicle. I kind of wish there was more information on the vehicle that he was selling. He is willing to talk about price of vehicle and make a deal with you. If you were looking at vehicles, I would get the VIN number and do some personal research. He has returning customers so, at this point, its a good place to go check out vehicles.

I bought a car from them three years ago but the lady didnt tell me that was the second engine of the car until I was told by the mechanic when my engine broke down and had to replace it to a new one. Its a nice car but I will appreciate more honesty from them.

I would definitely recommend Smart Cents Auto Sales when looking for your next vehicle. They are a smaller dealership and hence, more down to earth and not trying to shove a car down your throat like other big name dealerships. All of their vehicles are reasonably priced, and they do all of the work on them, so they know exactly what was done to the vehicle. On top of that, they are more than willing to work with your budget and help you out any way they can!

My fiancé and I will only buy from this Dealer! He is the only dealer I can find who is HONEST and has great prices for the cars you buy! If a car isnt good you wont see it on his lot! He has helped us get two cars and both have been great! Me and my wife were victims of fraud through this company.It was a sad moment we found out. We thought we did our research and tried our best to lay out all our options and choose the right car because we had bad experiences with cars we had before and needed a nice reliable car. We looked up ratings of Smart Cents and saw some of these negative comments but the replies of the owner made them seem to be ridiculous and mistaken. We trusted them because we needed a good deal and they were so friendly that we assumed the best. They gave us a very great deal on a Honda CR-V, too good to pass up, so we chose to buy the car. We did ask for documentation of what was fixed on the car because of the previous accident and they said that they had no documentation at all. That was pretty weird for an established company but we again assumed the best of the company. I even checked the carfax to see if the repairs were on their but they werent, little did I know, I should have gone back in the history further before buying the car.A month or so later my wife needed to check the carfax in order to figure out when the last oil change was and she decided to look further back in the history. She found that the odometer had been tampered with so instead of a Honda CR-V with 100,000 miles on it, it was a Honda CR-V with 260,000 miles on it! What a devastating discovery.We then messaged the dealer Brie to talk to her about what had happened and she acted amazed and dumbfounded; all she could do was refer us to a picture of the odometer when they bought the car acting like that should suffice. I explained to her how we found out and, at the time, I again assumed the best of the company. I figured it was an accident and that they would own up to their responsibility. I was mistaken. She suddenly began to seem angry or rude and said that they were not at all in the wrong and that there are no returns or refunds whatsoever. She would not refer us to the management or even return our texts after that. We have done our research and according to the law of Idaho, it is completely illegal to sell a car with a tampered odometer without notifying the buyer, even if they didnt know, making them liable for the amount overcharged. We were even contacted by a so-called past employee that told us this kind of stuff happened a lot and thats what led him to quit, whether or not that is true is up to you to believe I guess but the evidence has proven to us that this company is fraudulent and benefits off of deceiving people.I am not one for negative comment or reviews but I felt it was my responsibility and I hope this will help someone who is planning on buying a car from them to reconsider. If this is a common practice, they are not worthy of our business.

I have the worst experience at this place! I bought a Chevy Cruse, rebuilt title. The next day, the engine light came on. I went and tried to talk to them. They treated me like I do not exist. They said I have already bought the car and there is nothing they could do.I took the car to a mechanic and learned that it isn’t something they could fix. I went to a Chevy dealers and was told that it might cost me over a thousand to have them fix it.After a few weeks, the car started making this squeaking noise. Still, 7 months after I bought the car, engine light is on and I have to deal with the most annoying squeaking noise that comes from under the hood because they are both really expensive to fix!Don’t buy a car from this place!! Don’t buy a car that’s a rebuilt title!

Smart cents auto sales sold my husband and I a 2004 dodge truck that they didnt tell us had front end issues. Upon finding out these issues from a mechanic, mulitply parts will have to be replaced. If the front end parts were to go out we could lose control of the vehicle and hurt or kill ourselves/someone else. My husband and I live in another state so we had drove up to Smart Cents and then drove 3 1/2 hours home with a front end that could have failed and killed us. We have tried calling them mulitply times with no response, if you are looking to buy a vehicle from Smart Cents I would rethink this idea and dont waste your money.

2 months ago I bought a 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer and I havent had not even a single problem ! The salesman that took care of me did a great job and gave me an excellent deal on my car and great customer service. I Already did two trips, one to SLC and another one to DENVER and I didnt have a single problem. I appreciate their honesty and integrity as a used car business. I understand that car business is not a easy one but some other dealers are not totally honest and will try to rip you off. When I was looking for a car I stopped by the other dealership on the corner of main street and the person there tried to sell me a Dodge Nitro with 160.xxx miles for $11000... I Knew he was ripping me off and being rude because he thought I didnt have the money to buy it so I walked away and I stopped by Smart Cents Auto for the first time and I got my car with under 60k miles for less than $8000 !. I wouldnt go anywhere else to buy a car. I recommend Smart Cents Auto to all of my friends and to anybody that is looking for good deals on wheels !

Cars are all wrecks put together from many salvaged cars.Odometer readings depend on which car, the dash came from.Warrenties sold by this dealership do not cover anything.Warranty is not a typical warrantie sold by other used car dealerships.Be very wary! Do not buy from Smart Cents.

Not impressed with these sales men at all. Had my vehicle there under consignment. It was usually left over night unlocked and once even was unlocked with the keys in it. These sales men are not professional or organized in any way. It was always a struggle to get a straight answer from them. They would always refer to the other as the other guy. Only two people work there I would think they could remember each others name! Would always tell me no one had came to look at my truck but always kept gaining miles as it sat for 2 months at their lot. Would never do business with them ever again. Ended up picking it up and sold it my self. Terrible business, Liars. Beware!!EDIT. I did drive by one evening around 10 pm and my truck was in fact left out of the line of cars with keys in the ignition while no one was in the office or would answer a phone.

We decided to buy a 2011 nissan juke priced at 8900. Our experience on a personal level was actually pretty good. She didnt over ride the conversation and didnt press buying it at all. We enjoyed working with them......BUT!!! One of the biggest selling points for me was the AWD feature. It had been advertised as such, told it was, it even had the emblem on the back saying it was indeed an AWD model. After we had purchaced the car, I went to do an oil change and noticed this was NOT an AWD juke but actually a FWD. I had text the dealer letting them know and they even agreed to work with us on it. But the reason I didnt give this dealer a 5 star is because, if I had been in the position of a dealer who had been approched by a customer about the AWD, I wouldnt have just settled via text. I would have asked them to come by for me to look. I was told they were unaware, which I find hard to believe. Neither sales people bothered to make sure I wasnt lying bout it. That tells me they knew and tried to play dumb. Id imagine all other dealers are aware of what they buy and sell. With such a small lot I would think not knowing what you sell would ever be an issue. In the end it worked out okay and we came to an agreement about cost. However, in the end I feel that either honestly not knowing your own inventory OR just not being honest about it is reason enough to go with a 3 out of 5. I do appreciate working with us on cost!

I would recommend this dealership to everyone! My sister and I both have been going to school in Rexburg, We came up here from Southern California With some older model vehicles, because thats all we could afford at the California prices. Needless to say those cars wore out Due to their age, and the harsh weather conditions here in idaho. My sister Loves her new car she bought from Smart Cents, and we could not beat the price. Dishonest! The owner knowingly sold a car that had major transmission problems. When the purchasers found out just two days later he refused to make it right with the them. They were struggling financially and he didnt care. It was very disappointing.
