Great eye doctor!!! Terrible receptionist. I went a few months ago and they were extremely rude to me. Probably because I just went for an eye tests and could afford a part of glasses at the time. They were really nice to the guy who came in after me who had money to spend.They also misplaced my insurance card, but mailed it to me when it was found at least.No complaints about the doctor though! Really wonderful.

I have 6 kids all with their own unique vision issues, some way more difficult than others. Dr Porter has spent time and effort to make sure they all have their own individual needs met and has never charged me extra to find what works best for each of them. The office staff has been great to work with my schedule for appointments and dealing with any concerns. I highly recommend!

This was my first eye exam in years and it was great! Dr. Porter took his time with me and answered all my questions! He was great! Also the staff up front and his assistants were very helpful and nice. Friendly environment and amazing service! Love this place! :) Absolutely recommend it to anyone!

Ive been putting off my appointment because of schedule conflicts but Im so glad I FINALLY went in. The staff are genuine, knowledgeable, professional, courteous and friendly. Dr. Porter is excellent and has great rapport. Being that this visit was my first in almost 2 years and my first consultation for contacts the Eyecare Center has really has exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend the healthcare professionals here and will be choosing them for my family.

I would strongly recommend The Eyecare Center. I am not a client, but we are starting in Island Park and my daughter lost just contact lens and they helped us out so we could enjoy the easy of our trip. Crystal cane in on her day off to make sure we had what we needed. This type of customer service is rare in this day. If I lived in the area I would be a client for life! The service is really great and the equipment is hi-tech so no doubt you’re getting the best service possible so you can see well. The contacts they offer are the most comfy and they have top-notch glasses to choose from. Quick appointments but get everything done necessary. They care about your personal needs and have experience of their own to help you decide exactly what is best for you.

Great treatment and fit! I had not updated my prescription for three years, my appointment when smooth, Dr. Merrell was personable and explained everything clearly. The fitting for glasses was great, dont usually like RayBan frames but in this case the fit is great. The glasses are supper lite, feel very good, and more importantly the progressive lens fit is perfect! Thanks

Our family has been coming to the eye care center since I was a little kid. They are kind, professional, and honest. The last time I was in, there was a mixup, and I was sent the wrong prescription of contacts and glasses. They did everything in their power to quickly correct the situation. The staff is knowledgeable and easy to work with. I would gladly recommend them to anyone for their eye care needs.

Ive been a patient at The Eyecare Center for many years. Dr. Merrell and staff have always been very friendly and helpful. They help me find the best contacts that work for me and also are concerned about the price point for my benefit. When Ive been fitted for glasses they do a great job of taking the time to find a fit that is perfect for me and provide great service throughout the process.

They refused to give me my PD measurement so that I wouldnt be able to purchase glasses online since I was using my insurance toward contact lenses. When I asked for a copy of my prescription she would not give it to me, and instead insisted that I sit down and try on the glasses they had there. They also tacked on hidden charges after the exam was over and stated that it was to ensure that I couldnt go online to buy contact lenses either. Very unimpressed, I will take my business elsewhere in the future. What a waist of money and time. Now I have to pay to go somewhere else to get the information that I paid them to give me.

Super friendly ladies in there, and Jason is great! Theyre all very helpful and super quick! Id say it is the most enjoyable eye doctor to go to!

Ive been seen by both Dr. Jason and Dr. Marshall Merrell, and both doctors have gone above and beyond in explaining my eye health concerns to me. Ive never had an Optometrist teach me about my eye health in such depth, its been greatly appreciated! Highly recommend.

The doctors are wonderful but the staff is very unhelpful. They gave us incorrect information, never called to let us know our prescriptions had arrived, didnt return our calls, and repeatedly ordered the wrong prescription/brand for my husband. I picked up a trial pair of contacts only to find they were unsealed. They had previously been opened and handled. Terrible service!!!

Dr. Merrell was great! I have always hated going to the optometrist (Ive needed corrective lenses for almost 20 years now.) Dr. Merrell was quicker than any Dr. Ive been to but he also explained the pictures he was taking of my eye, which no Dr. has ever done for me. I would definitely recommend Dr. Merrell to anyone.

I visited Dr. Merrell because I had an eye irritation in left eye. It bothered me for about 14 days. He examined my eye and stated that I had a small piece of matter in my eyelid. He removed it with a q-tip. He suggested a steriod eye drop and exclaimed that I was healed.He charged my insurance over $300 for a surgery. He charged me $25 co-pay and then 6 weeks later I received another bill $36.91 (the only follow-up I received)The problem persisted and in fact his surgery and eye drops didnt help at all. Dr. Merrell did not schedule or suggest a follow-up visit. He didnt think I needed to be seen with my contacts in. In face he stated that I was cured.After another week with quite a bit of discomfort (despite using the drops religiously) I made an appointment in Idaho Falls with a different eye doctor. The new doctor suggested that my contact despite being new was the problem. He gave me a different (trial) lens and immediately my irritation and subsequent headache improved. I did not schedule another appointment with Dr. Merrell because I was not willing to pay another $300+.I do not recommend Dr. Merrell. I believe he overcharged me and my insurance company. I believe he did not provide adequate care and he did not provide any follow-up. In fact his care benefitted him (as he was overpaid for a office visit and a q-tip) but my visit to his office did not improve my health or relieve my pain.
