They were so helpful and went above and beyond to help me with my bike. I came in for some simple replacement tubes and they fixed two other things for me. Highly recommend!

I cant say enough about this place. Im sure this is my second or third review. They really take care of their customers. I am a firm believer that if you take care and support your LBS then they will take care of you!

I was visiting from out of town and needed to charge the battery for my derailleur. The put it on a charger for me while I ran other errands and then refused to charge me or even to let me tip them. Super nice shop.

I had a great experience buying a bike from Carter. The entire staff was friendly. Got it on sale because it was yesteryear’s model. I’m not a bike guru and they picked up on that and helped explain things. It’s nice to have a friendly bike shop in town. They stayed past closing time to swap out a part for me. No fuss!

The staff know me by name and bend over backwards to ensure I am a happy customer. I have bought a number of bikes at Trailhead Bicycles and appreciate the high touch but low pressure service. Great repair folks and awesome staff altogether. Fantasic bike exchange program for kids bikes! I cant say enough good things about this shop and dont plan to buy a bike elsewhere.

Great experience from start to finish. Christian was super helpful with the personal shopping emails after I submitted a request letting them know what I was looking for. Then at the shop Emilie was very knowledgeable, helpful and let me try out the bikes to help me make a decision. Would 100% recommend.

Staff are very nice and friendly. Service time is great. They don’t take too long compared with other companies. However, the service quality wasn’t great. I had my handlebar tape replaced and it came out loose after 30 min of riding. I took it back and they fixed it under warranty. Same thing happened again. So now I’m taking it elsewhere. It was poor quality installation. I appreciate the great customer service. I hope for better service quality.

Very helpful fixing up my cleats. Discussed tune up options and they were honest about what theyd recommend, even advising me against the higher options.

Christian gave me phenomenal help even though I could barely describe what I wanted and how I needed it to happen. He was excited just to help and it made the whole process of fixing my bicycle enjoyable instead of daunting.

I bought my hardtail and just recently my full suspension specialized mountain bike. They have been so accommodating. My bike needed maintenance during shutdowns and they gave me a demo bike to ride while the bike was finished. I ended up buying the demo bike and they set it up for me perfectly. They have the best customer service and I recommend stopping Im for your bike needs.

I purchased a Trek Speed Concept. I dealt with Christian who was an A+. He was very responsive to all questions, and very easy to deal with. The bike shipped with bike flights and they did a great job packing. The delivered bike was exactly like advertised. I was hesitant to buy a higher end bike over the web since I was out of town, but I would highly recommend Trailhead Mesa as the process worked great, Thanks Christian and Trailhead!

Huge shoutout to Christian! When my original bike fitter wasnt able to make it in for the appointment, Christian helped finish my fitting and broke everything down for me! Awesome dude, really knowledgeable, and took the time out of his day to make sure everything on my bike worked properly for my needs. As a new cyclist, a lot of this stuff can be very intimidating and he helped make it easy! Overall, a great team.

Not impressed. Bought a brand new Specialized Roubaix Comp Shimano Di2 from them. Bike was presented to me missing 1) the pedals Id paid for and asked them to put on and 2) the equipment to charge the battery. I asked to be fitted (which honestly should have come complimentary at pickup) and was told to email the service manager. I did. Been 5 days, no reply. Take your business elsewhere. I could have gotten the bike from Specialized website. Ive also transitioned all my service work to another local bike shop. Disappointed customer. Cant recommend.

I had my bike dissembled at Mesa and shipped to other state. It was delivered to a wrong place and the phone holder on the bike was broken. The staffs are very nice. They helped me find my bike and ship me a new phone holder. Overall they are responsible.

I was a customer of Mesa Cycles prior to moving to Phoenix 7 years ago. I was having a bad day pretty much all around and on top of it forgot a skewer in Phoenix for my front wheel of the bike I brought to town. Swung by looking for some help and they took care of me like they were still my home LBS and knew me well. They took my wheel inside, fit it with a skewer all with no charge and a smile. Just bought shoes and a light from this location. Unbelievably efficient and attentive to my needs. I can’t express enough how nice the staff is to work with. Bike shops can be intimidating but this is the exact opposite. Do yourself a favor and stop by or browse the website. You won’t be disappointed.

Called this place about a part that I need for my bike. They told me that they HAVE it in stock and the rapier will take 12 days. I brought my bike and waited around 30 min to receive the order details (first red flag).When I came to pick up my bike after 18 days, I was told that the part they said they had it in stock, that they did not actually have it. Furthermore, they had to order the part from the manufacturer but the part is on backorder and they do not know when the part will arrive.When asked how it is that you do not have that part in stock, and when I was told over the phone that you do have the part in stock, they replied that they were sorry.

Mesa Cycles is a is a bike shop to cover all cycling needs from novice to experienced. very very friendly staff willing to help with whatever the needs are. I was able to get everything I needed at a reasonable price. Would gladly shop there again.

Super fast service and cool helpful guy. Price however was arbitrary and way higher than other bike shops. MESA mechanics were precise with their procices.The Woman at the front is indeed super Rude and aloof. Hope the attitude changes bc. Bikes are fun.

These guys are straight up awesome. I had the pleasure of buying a bike from them online and the sales team there is totally top notch. Ive been mountain biking for 15 years now. Most of that time Ive been using Mesa for all my gear and bikes. Not only are Russ and his crew great to work with, they are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about StL cycling. As a result, I can have my bike repaired and get the latest scoop on the best trails in the area while Im there. Mesa has my business for years to come!

Everyone Ive worked with there have been terrific, and service is what makes a bike shop. Traci in particular is a blast to work with and so earnest. It also just has the best feel of any bike shop in the area, and Ive been to all of them.

Mesa Cycles is my favorite bike shop in the Saint Louis area! They are always so friendly and willing to help. I took a neighborhood kids bike in there to see about getting a wheel fixed and they helped out by ordering a new one and donating the wheel to the family. Just a great shop!

Great shop, I went in looking for a commuter/hybrid bike and got a great deal on a 2015 model that was being sold to make way for the 2016s. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and when I went back in a few days later to ask about a problem with the stock handlebars, he replaced them with a better version for free. I would recommend!

Brought my bike in on a Monday for a simple tune-up and some new tires. Was told it couldnt be completed until Friday. I went in Saturday to pick it up, only to be told the mechanic must have missed it and its still not ready (and they arent open on Sunday!) For someone who works full-time and is otherwise busy this was quite frustrating. When I came back later to pick it up they gave me no itemized receipt, overcharged me for the tires, and added an additional $20 service fee to install the tires that was never mentioned before. Would have gone unnoticed if I didnt inquire because I was already so agitated. Staff pleasant enough but for a bike shop that is as expensive as they are what a disappointing experience

We went in there for first set of road shoes, pedals, and cleats for girlfriend. The service was great. The whole process was smooth and quick. Its been my go to bike shop and will continue to be.

Great repair experience for my old and rusty bike

This shop is one of the best in town. The guys in there know just about everything to know about the bikes they sell. They eat, sleep, and breath bikes. I buy everything I ever need for my bikes at Mesa Cycles. I will be a Mesa customer for life.

I went into the store to ask about getting a new stem for my bike. I was directed to the back of the store where the mechanic was in a conversation about a race with another person in the store. I stood at the counter without him so much as acknowledging my existence for about 10 min. After the wait I politely interrupted and asked him if he could help me. The other person in the store (not the mechanic) apologized. I asked the mechanic if he would be able to help me. Then the two went back to chatting away! I certainly will not recommend this store to others or buy any equipment from the store. I am still infuriated from this experience.

Is it trendy for bike shops to be stuck up? If so, then Mesa Cycles is the trend setter. Ive run into this with other bike shops before, but this place ranks number 1 for overall Divaness. I created that word just for them. But seriously, they would probably be snobby to Lance Armstrong - I am referring to the service dept. as the young lady at the sales counter was polite and helpful. The service dept is not knowledgeable whatsoever. They wanted to sell me a new part instead of trying to fix the broken part. Go figure. When I informed them that I had paid a lot for my crankset and that there was known fix, they told me they have never heard of it. Again, they looked at me like I was an idiot and said You, know a new crank only cost a 100 bucks. On they way out I strolled by to see if their prices were as lofty as their self image....the bikes were overpriced (by far) but didnt compare to their pretentious attitudes.

I bought a budget road bike here. I had tested out other similar bikes at their location in Ellisville (Trailhead). I knew the one I wanted and got sized on it quickly. The the test drive went ok but it was a bit noisy. They quickly got it tuned and it rode very nicely after that. They even threw in a free bottle holder.

The best service dept. No one else works on my bike! Excellent.

I went there because I was a first time buyer. My brother bikes and he told me what I should get - gave me options between Trek and Specialized. I went there to specifically purchase a bike but there was no one to help me. The sales person saw me a few times but no help - was talking to someone else and it didnt sound like it was equipment related (dont like to ease drop). Anyway, I walked around aimlessly for about 30 minutes and left. I ended up getting a specialized down south. I will never go back not even for parts and I live down the road.

I have been kicking around the idea of getting a 29er (bike speak for the new design of mountain bikes with 29 diameter wheels) for a while now. The new bike would replace an 8 year old bike I found on Craigslist that was apparently too small for me... After visiting multiple shops in St. Louis, I decided that there were a few bikes that were similarly priced and equipped. I narrowed the search to 2 different bikes from different stores, Mesa being one of them. Chris Connolly, the Salesperson at Mesa, was very knowledgeable and offered his expertise in order to help me make my decision. He was patient and took multiple phone calls and and store visits (unannounced). What set this place apart is they are not pushy at all. There was never a time that I felt like I had to make a decision. Even after multiple segments of 20 questions about material composition and geometry, Chris continued to offer pros and cons of every aspect of selecting a new bike. I finally made a decision on a 2012 Specialized Stumpjumper hardtail 29er. I absolutely love the bike. It is a dream to ride. You can rest assured that you will be treated like family at Mesa.

Mesa cycles is a great local bike shop.

The woman at the front desk was especially rude and curt, and they charged me more than 4 times what Mikes Bikes or Big Shark charges for labor. Will not go here again.
