Wonderful rich chocolate made on site from the actual beans, which are sourced from different parts of the world. All the chocolate bars are labeled by region so you can compare a bar from Madagascar to one from the Philippines. This little store is an old-school gem with a lovely owner.
The most unique-tasting chocolate. Wonderfully unpretentious shop with a super friendly owner. 5 stars isnt enough!
Incredible and unique chocolate. Constantine is a warm and lovely person that will have a nice conversation with you. Highly recommended!
The most unique and natural chocolate you will find in the New York area. The owner is very knowledgeable about chocolate and an extremely nice person. please give this small mom-and-pop shop and visit you will not be disappointed.
Love the chocolate of this place
Unlike any other mass produced chocolate that is available today, this product is in a category of its own. Be sure to try the hot chocolate disks. The flavors of the plant will reveal a flavor that most people have never experienced. The chocolates are not cheap, but they are hand made and its worth it. Highly recommend this company.
Exquisite!
Wonderful owners! They are highly knowledgeable and eager to show the process. Their pride in their work is admirable and will make your day :)
Artisanal is definitely an overused term, but youd be hard-pressed to call Ridgewood Chocolate anything else. Theyve got delicious dark chocolate, sourced from the world over and prepared in small batches that are roasted and ground onsite. I stopped in with a friend while running errands and had a great conversation with Constantine - a super friendly guy whos great to talk to. Highly recommend this charming spot in Ridgewood.
The chocolate was unlike anything I have ever had. It has a deep, rich, full flavor that I would say is almost nutty or like coffee. If you like dark chocolate you should definitely try this place! Also the owner was very knowledgeable because he makes it himself. I felt as if I learned more about chocolate in 5 minutes with this man than I have ever known before.
If you live nearby and havent been here yet, youre making a mistake! The chocolate might be pricey but its worth it. They roast the beans right in the store and the end result is to die for.Their hot chocolate is on a whole other level - made carefully with their own melted chocolate, the end result is a dark chocolate drink packed with flavor.
Constantine and Ruby are so gracious and amazing to spend time with at their shop. Their extensive chocolate selection will keep even the most picky chocolate connoisseur begging to have more. My favorites among the wide plethora that they let me sample were the garlic, cayenne, and ginger. I was so hoping that they had more menthol on hand, but they were out of samples. They said that menthol was by their most popular flavor. I definitely will have to come back here again and again. Their natural warmth, humor, and friendliness makes it a well rounded establishment. I wish I didnt live such a great distance from them because I would be there all the time and probably create a few cavities in the process. You can easily get wrapped up in conversation with the both of them and forget that you have other things to do afterwards. Please make an effort to give them a well deserved visit to satisfy the chocolate craving that most of us possess.
Love this place. Quality Italian brooms, paper for rolling tobacco and excellent chocolate made from scratch. They roast the beans themselves.
Im in love with this place. Ive watched them live roasting and preparing the chocolate. And now that they sell popsicle makes me so happy :)
Great chocolate. Freshly made from the beans. Lots of unusual flavors.
Like nothing else. Absolutely amazing hand shelled roasted cacao
Amazing locally made Chocolates! My fav is the ginger. Hidden Gem in Ridgewood
Ridgewood institution
Chocolate shot.
Great chocolate!!
A handmade chocolate shop. Please be careful as you are cluttered and you will be surprised by the difference as you imagine a chocolate shop like GODIVA or Neu House.I am particular about cacao beans, so you can enjoy chocolates of various production areas, but the price is expensive. It is a store that says it is okay if I go once.
