Excellent communication and service! Mr Black was professionally attentive and explained honestly about options and repair time concerning my shredded tire with a pleasant friendly approach. I felt respected, especially being a woman dealing with car repairs. I find that important. One of the other locations, I felt unheard, barely spoken to, and was told told my tires were in need for new ones, yet I drove them just fine. Errors in marking my mileage for my oil change and a sound coming from my hubcab after I went there. This shred happened on a highway, not uncommon in any major city. Of course, the other location had a tire sale going on at the time. I felt like they were pushing that sale rather than gaining a loyal returning customer. Id rather be respected and given honest information to make my own decision, in my time about higher purchases because they usually are a more serious budget decision. Thank you Mr. Black for handling my tire situation, communicating honestly! Ill be back to this location for my services. Ive been with Pep boys for over 5 years, so I like having my info all in one place. it helps also if there is any concerns of work, they can see who worked on the vehicle.

9/2/21 — This is my second time coming to this pep boys. The first time was alright when it came to the customer service. I didn’t get the opportunity of working with Black the first time, but I’m glad I was able to get help from him today. He gets 5 stars from me. He has excellent customer service.A little mishap happened (due to negligence by the service technician) when I came in to get an oil change and Black went above and beyond to help rectify the situation. He also helped me resolve an error/issue I had at checkout. He was very professional and respectful during the whole process.So, the only reason I gave this four stars is due to the mishap I had with the service technician. I suggest management have a sit down with their technicians about how to properly care for someone’s vehicle/possession, when they are servicing it.Other than that, Black made the experience great.

My friend and i had a flat while we were out of town and pep boys (esp black) got us back on the road with a new tire in 15 minutes! they were amazing and very friendly. would highly recommend!!

Schedule an appointment online for an oil change for 9am. Got there was told they don’t know open until 10am. Why was I able to make an appointment for 9am if the business was not open. Also, I indicated on the appointment that I would sit and wait for my car to be service. It also states on google that the business opens at 9am, and states it was updated by the business a few days ago.

On 7/19/21, I had the pleasure of receiving great service from Mr. Black at the Riverdale location. I called in advance to see if they carried the tire that I was looking for. He assured me that they had it. I went to this location and had a new tire installation in less than an hour. I must say that I was grateful for such swift service. Thanks Mr. Black.

I don’t even know where to begin….I needed two tires and I met Malik and Black both of those brothers were AWESOME! They were professional and had a great sense of humor! Unfortunately no even a month later I got a nail in my tire and I had to get another tire…the young man Q who replaced my tire was up on his game! He was fast and very friendly. Black was great! Very quick and super efficient. He identified exactly what was wrong with my car and now my baby is running like new again.And side note: Their bathrooms were very clean. I used to love this location! I always come here to get my vehicle worked on, Black is always very helpful. I recently came back to this location to find different staff! The guy Malik at the counter is very nonchalant and not helpful at all! then here come this other guy I’m assuming he’s the manager will tell you anything to make a sale! Completely dishonest! Will NOT be returning, do not spend money here unless you want LIES told to you about your car!

Worst ever experience at Riverdale Ga pep boys. Bought tires on their web sight. Made first available appointment online. They acknowledged appointment but spent half a day to get tires mounted. Asked to keep a spare. They did not. Went back to complain and was given my tire unmounted. They refused to mount it on rim. They would not have had to mount it if they just switched it with my current spare. Also said online appointments made same day are not honored but did not say so when I went in. So much for customer service. David Francis.

Scheduled a appointment online for new tires. Website said that they had the tires in stock. Got there that morning only to be told that they didnt have them and it would be later that afternoon if ordered. I rearranged my work schedule in advance for this appointment I couldnt come back later. Totally disappointed and not planning on coming back!

Only reason I went b/c the maintenance was FREE but then again. Everything FREE aint worth it! The 3 techs they had was out back smoking for the 3hrs I was waiting for service. The mgr finally gotta ear of it & came out & address the unproductiveness however she too was rude, maybe because she was pregnant. They finally took my car back, returned it in 20 mins. I was there ro get full car maintenance. Oil, tire rot, bal, filters etc & they finished in 20 mins...ofcourse i had to go to Nissan dealership next morning.

Okay, who buys tires on a Sunday morning? I did! John at the counter was so laid back, I quietly thought, I gotta see this... I arrived about 10:15a and was efficiently out, in about an hour. The waiting area was upscale, cool, and comfortable.(too early in the day for my pre-season football game, other wise, I’d probably still be there, it was so comfortable)!Don’t know how many vehicles were in front of mine, but I felt as though my vehicle was getting the V.I.P. treatment.A really smooth experience at this location.Keep up the good work John & Crew!!!

Pep boys are the slowest unmotivated company you can take your car to for service. Technicians do not want to work and will have your quick visit turn to a whole day wait-fest.

We bought a 96R-590CH car battery on January 5, 2019 and it was supposed to be under a 30 month warranty. Last week the battery died and we had it tested at AutoZone and was told the battery was no good. We took it to the #0112 store in Riverdale where we purchased it from and they insisted on testing it too....they also determined battery wasnt good. The employee told us he would order a new one and exchange it, only to call us the next day and say it was no longer available. They wouldnt exchange it and because we didnt have a receipt they wouldnt refund it. They told us to take is to the Stockbridge location, only to found that the location WAS CLOSED DOWN!!! The store #0112 employee then gave us customer service number and the run around continue even though they located our receipt and emailed it to us because we were the only customers to purchase that particular battery on that particular day but they STILL REFUSED TO HONOR THEIR WARRANTY!! ALL WE WANT IS A REPLACEMENT BATTERY AND TRUE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

I will definitely come back to this location due to the exceptional service provided by Ms. K and Mr. Rodney. I came for a free brake check but soon realized I needed new brakes and rotors. Ms. K started the brake job herself. I was on a time schedule and Ms. K made sure that I was able to get out on time. Ms. K is very knowledgeable and so professional. I felt confident to leave for my vacation a few days later knowing that my vehicle was good to go. I will definitely return.

It’s very simple: called ahead to ask if they had availability for an oil change & Rodney told me as long as i can “get here by 4 o’clock” they could take me. I get there literally 11 minutes after that and he tells me they’re no longer taking oil changes because apparently 3 more people “just walked in” for oil changes and tire services and “today we’re closing at 5pm, but you can come back tomorrow.” I will not be visiting this location anymore due to the simple fact you should not waste people’s time and say you can deliver a service when you are not equipped to do so.

This place is unbelievable! I tried to get service from this location on 2 separate occasions with an appointment set online and both times they were unable to complete. Normally I go to NTB but they had promotions so I figured I would give them a shot.On the first attempt I set an appointment online, called them and the gentleman who answered the phone said I can come in, there was no wait. My husband arrived and the waiting room was so packed there was no where to sit. After some time the mgr said we wouldnt get service that day. With an appointment, still no service!I had another appointment set for today and one of their machines wasnt working so I couldnt get an alignment. Even an oil change had a wait time of 1.5 hrs. How is this possible at 8 am with an appointment?This place is unreal! I have never seen service, or lack thereof quite like this. I dont understand how they received 5 stars because the excuses and lack of customer service is alive and well.

Came one time and everything was fine but when I came back twice it was attitude like they couldnt handle what they had on there plate. One guy is sitting there doing nothing on his headphones and I didnt get greeted at the door

I used to frequent this location for oil changes and for tire checks and changes. It seems like more of a staffing issue, but they are incredibly slow. I made an appointment for an oil change. I arrive at my designated time and upon providing the worker at the desk with my name, she informs me it would be at least an hour to an hour and a half wait time. I decided to wait because I desperately needed the oil change.As time went on, I noticed works sitting around chatting, while my car was still outside. Eventually I just asked for my key and left. I probably will not patronize this establishment for some time. Spend your money elsewhere where the workers value your time and money.

My headlights went out at the same time which is odd so initially I thought maybe it was a fuse or something, I dont know too much about cars so I thought by taking it to an auto place where men work at, I would get some kind of assistance. I went to about four auto places and not one of the guys at either of the places even tried to help me out. Then I went to Pep Boys and explained my situation to Victor D. He took a look and told me exactly what was going on. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and I can tell he is genuinely a great person overall. He made my day, got me on my way and because of him, I will definitely go back to Pep Boys for my auto repairsThanks Vic, keep up the good work!!!

Staff is unprofessional, lackadaisical, and no sense of urgency. Arrived at 9 am. Witnessed staff members in the back laughing and sitting around as customers waited. Another customers vehicle had been ready but was just sitting on rack. When he asked he was informed that man who could take car down would not be in for another 4 hours. Went in for problem with brakes. Upon “fixing” when arrived home( around 1 pm as staff is slow); saw a brake light malfunction. Went back to pep boys. Gentleman who “fixed” rotors pushed down to hard and damaged an ADDITIONAL portion of braking system. Sat for 20 minutes while I watched staff sitting in back smoking cigarettes while customers still needed to be serviced. When I inquired about wait time, staff member got attitude as he put cigarette out and then moved in what seemed like slow motion.I will NEVER SPEND ANOTHER PENNY AT THIS PEP BOYS AND IT IS SAD THAT A MAJOR COMPANY SUCH AS PEP BOYS HAS SUCH POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTING THEM

I initially had an issue during my visit. I received a survey and I listed the problem regarding my extended wait time. The manager called me the next day to apologize about my wait. He listened to my concerns and was genuinely apologetic. He knows I am a regular customer at this location and I do not live near the area. He did explain he will make sure the problem is corrected at his store so I will not have to wait for 3 hours for an oil change. I really appreciate the customer service correction by the manager Rodney.

I arrived there this morning at 8am & there was only three people in front of me. At least 10 other people arrived after me & seven were serviced before I was. They open at 7am but two employees didnt show up until after 9. I informed them I had to pick up my kids from school by 2:15 & I just left at @2:38pm extra Late picking my kids up 45 minutes late because employees want to stop & talk while working

I flew back from my trip to find a nail in my tire. I came to this location to get it fixed.After the fix, I mistakenly gave them my lock nut adapter for my tires thinking it was for them. (It was a long week)I live about 1.5 hrs away from them so going back to get it was not an option.Mr. Rodney, the manager, told me he would mail it back to me himself. That’s something he didn’t have to do and I appreciate it a lot. It’s made a real impression on me.This a real good store with even better people.Thank you

As a woman, Im always skeptical about going places and getting taken advantage of, but I have no worries here. My car was fixed and I did not pay an arm and a leg for the services. I’ve been going to this Pep Boys at this location for 2 years. They are very knowledgeable, great prices, and superb service! Rodney, the store manager is very easy to talk to and is a hard worker. If there’s a service that your car needs that Pep Boys offers, this is the place to go!

I called the other location on 85 first and they were all booked and recommended I call this one. Marcus answered and said it wouldnt be too long of a wait and to head on over. From the time I arrived until the time I checked out Marcus treated me with exceptional customer service. Waking up to a nail in your tire and needing to replace 2 of them completely is never a fun situation but he worked with me on the price and I was out of there in under 2 hours with 2 new tires and an alignment. The waiting room was comfortable and he even came to let me know the status of my car when he got the chance (it was really busy). Every person that walked in was treated the same. I definitely recommend this location. Thank you Marcus and the pep boys techs for taking care of me!

He was very knowledgeable of his job, very understanding of my situation, & genuinely cared enough to do everything he could to insure that I didnt leave in the same unsafe vehicle in which I arrived. Also, place was clean...... I will definitely go back for any work needed on my vehicle.

I drive for Lyft and they give us options as to where we can go to our vehicle serviced. There are only 2 in the southern region: Union City and Riverdale. The service in Union City isnt at all anything compared to here. They usually cant and wont work on your car the same day like this location. this is only my second time here and both times I was able to be serviced the same day, AND THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS FRIENDLY (not just to me but while I walked in and he was on the phone I could overhear the customer service he was giving).Now twice, no three times I have went to the Union City location and the first time I walked in I was confused on who to speak to or what to do cause everyone was on there phone plus I didnt get serviced. I wasnt serviced the second or third time either.So long story short, come to Riverdale where theyll treat you well.

Fuged my car up. I got tires and alignment. They popped my hood leaned on my radiator hose broke it. Tore plastic off the under body zip tied it back. I drove straight home witch included driving down the freeway and it over heated and I blew my head. I love my car it is always spotless and pristine​ condition. 2014 Dodge Avenger 24356 miles. I Am a technician have been for 10yrs. Just wanted new tires and alignment.

This is the only pepboys I go to for all my auto needs. The staff is nice and courtesy. Very fast and gets the job done.

Do not go here. I got an oil change for $46, went home and looked under my car and the SAME oil filter was there. It hadnt been changed at all. I waited 2 hours for that. Went back the next week because the car was overheating, they quoted me at $1,017 for new radiator fan and thermostat. Took my car to my friend and it was only missing $5 worth of wires that had been burned out. Another car repair shop that will literally give you a run for your money.

I called ahead of time to see if I could make a appointment for a oil change, they guy wouldnt even take my name, said they could do it. So I came in to find only 2 service guys working and they werent even working they were playing around, and I asked how long the wait was and I was to a hour and a half. I come here all the time to get both of my cars taken care of, and they are normally pretty great. But today was not.

I’ll never go back. Booked an appointment for an oil change on 7/9/19 and showed up for my appointment scheduled at 9am 7/12/19 and it’s 12noon and I’m still here for a simple oil change that I booked an appointment for. I had to keep asking when my car was going back and just when I was about to leave my car goes to the back after 2 hours of waiting. Don’t set yourself up.

I was in the area for a couple of hours with some time on my hands and googled oil change places. It was 4:00 on a Sunday afternoon and most places were closed or about to close. I called Pep Boys and they said they would do my oil change (even though I was at the end of their day). The yelp address was incorrect, so I could not find the place. I called back and a man talked me through how to find their locations. Once I arrived, they were very friendly and speedy! I am so thankful they worked me in on a late Sunday afternoon before closing. I would recommend them to friends!

Like most people, I hate having to sit around in the service shop but Tyler made my car experience at pep boys incredible. Best service I have ever received.

The service here is horrible! They always take 3+ hrs just for a simple oil change. Last November I came to get a new tire before going out of town and not only did they take forever, they didnt even replace the tire. If this wasnt the closest Lyft designated service station to my house, I wouldve stopped coming a long time ago. I couldve driven to the Havoline on Austell Rd (they take less than 30 mins) and back with time to spare for what they make me wait here. Never again!

They were Horrible!! I went in there because My AC was Not cooling I paid for a Diagnosis and for it to be Repaired paid about $400. One week later came back in with the SAME issue. They stated that their was another issue and tried to charge me almost $1,000 MORE..Spoke to the Manager and the TECH all they could do is apologize and offer a Discount. My compressor all of the sudden stopped working, When I was told initially it just needed to be Re-Charged and NEVER was I told about a Leak in it until I came back in the second time...Very unprofessional NEVER again will I use them.

I say this respectfully but this place sucks. Staff Lacks required communication skills & they are very irresponsible. Came to get a tire replaced that had a nail in it & left with the same tire with the nail in it. mechanic admitted to not reading the detailed auto report and the manager (not Rodney, the tall dude with glasses) did & said nothing to the mechanic about the irresponsible matter. It seemed as if They both were more concerned about closing & getting off at 7. My safety & livelihood meant nothing obviously. Now I have to ride around with a nail still in my tire. I highly doubt they even did all of the things that I came in for. I felt rushed out. I had been waiting since 4pm, there’s no excuse for my tire to have the same nail in it. All in all I was very polite to the two gentlemen but I was very disappointed. Poor service. I advise all Lyft drivers & hard working people to not come to this location. Save yourself some time & energy.

I went in for a simple oil change and my car computer is now messed up! Its a Honda Civic fairly new no problems ever and now its saying Im going 120 mph when Im going 60! Should never go in a auto repair shop and have your car come out worse!!! Also super slow service.. Trust me go somewhere else and avoid the headache!!

Service manager, instead of greeting me, advised they are too busy...suggest other uber drivers with a hertz rental, try and go elsewhere for service.

All lyft drivers coming from Terry Tips I advise you not to come here customer service was ok. But I needed a tire changed it too 1hr and half. Im a say 2 hrs cause I know I went there right after the lyft hertz rental. Its 15 min away. Find another pep boys. There wasnt even 2 cars in the garage when I pulled up. They changed my oil .and didnt put my air filter back in the car this is a major problem they told me i need to replace it i told them next time so they didnt put it back in my car what kind of service is this air filter is key to make sure no dirt gets into the motor water gets. Sucked up into the motor if no one fixs this problem IAM calling corporate

Very unprofessional & no sense of urgency.I took my. car in to get a motor mount fixed and they did brakes and they are making sqeeking noise now. I told them to fix what the warranty covered with the understanding that the motor mount was the main issue being that I got a diagnostic from aamco. I do not like the fact that my warranty company deals with such.unknowledgeable people.

DO NOT GO HERE. My driver side window went down and would not come back up. Mind you, i already have an appointment with the chevy dealer to work on the car in 3 days, so i figured the chevy people can go ahead and fix the window problem as well. But it was urgent for me to have my window up for the next few days. So i came to this pep boys location and they charged me 50$ only to pull the window out and stick paper in it to hold it up. And would not let me leave until i found a ride to the ATM to pay them.

They do great work and make sure that you are satisfied before leaving!

Went in there for a simple tire installation and alignment wanted to see how good they are so I acted like I didnt know that much ask for a quote on power steering pump after that they seem very talkative then when they had my truck on the rack called me in telling me stuff is wrong with my truck then thats when I got them I told them I could fix this very easily and then is when I noticed the look on his face he seemed very upset he wanted me to come back when they had one of their specialists in to fix it I told them if I cant fix it here Ill come back later then he kind of stuttered for a second didnt know what to say and just told me it will void your warranty and then I said cant you just Mount them it sounded like he said no but when I went to back into the waiting room and came back out he was mounting them and after he had a talk with what I presume to be a manager the manager became upset as well nothing was said but their expression and demeanor was obvious and I also noticed when talking to the client that was there other then me they started talking to her when I wasnt near and then when I happened to be kind of close the manager started somewhat whispering to her and yes my tires were mounted Im actually glad about that there arent many places that can mount 22s the part that he said was bad it was my tie rod end it wasnt bad it was still good a tad over greased but still good other thing was the bearings the play on it I would say was almost non-existent if anything it was probably 1000 of an inch play in it and he said it was really bad and all I wanted was trying to get the 3-year alignments package or warranty and they were trying to add extra stuff Ill be it that package already expensive they wanted to add extra stuff I wouldnt recommend this place the person I think was the manager is Kenneth thats the name tag he had on the other dude was on the third bay if I remember correctly had long hair and also noticed that my rear driver side Tire when on the rack was slanted I went out there and looked at it and I could probably assume that it was placed on wrong topside tightened all the way and bottom after the fact instead of alternating trying to make me break my studs when I drive then when I kept looking at it I went back in noticed he came back and redid did them correctly this time and I mean last note go to this place or not its up to you just wanted to let yall know

The worst service ever. No communication on your vehicle. My car was vandalized while sitting in their lot for 3 days. It has to be the area its located in. The give ghetto service in a ghetto area. I complained and called and emailed corporate to get it resolved. Bring your patience and some extra money cause you will need both while patronizing this business.
