The owner is very friendly and nice and always has my products I need
Great little family owned Asian market I found on Williamson Rd. They have fresh Chinese veggies and a verity of asian can goods and spices for cooking, a lot of which I saw my mom use in our house growing up. I have been trying to learn to recreate my mom and dads cooking so this place is perfect for me to find all the things I need. 😋 The family here is very friendly and helpful!
Dont let its first impression dissuade you, with helpful staff and a wide variety of traditional foods, theres a lot to love here. The isles can be a bit dark, and some stock a bit cluttered, but its all there. This is a wonderful market store especially if your a fan of mochi, jellies, and other asian delights.
The stock fluctuates, but their staples are pretty consistan. The staff is always helpful in finding items if you cant read the labels. Its a wonderful local family business.
As a customer service representative for nearly two decades, Im a bit of a stickler for poor customer service, but this place was GREAT! So personable and helpful! I will definitely be returning.
Awesome customer service. Loved being able to find a few fresh veggies not found in other markets. Great variety of dried goods and spices. We will be going back!
Inside is not enough light every time I went there. I am glad that I could find coconut milk there. Therefore, I will keep going there when I finished them.
There was a woman bagging vegetables when my family and I walked in (4 of us). We walked around looking through the isles and picked up a few things. At no point did she even acknowledge us being in the store. When we were finally ready to check out we placed our items on the counter and waited for a while. Again, the woman completely ignored us and failed to assist us with checkout. My husband and I looked at each other in disbelief before deciding to walk out. Also, the place was cluttered with toys that we had to walk over in the middle of the isle, presumably belonging to the owners two kids running around in the store. We will not ever be back. DO NOT recommend.
The owners are super nice
Amazing selection, great customer service, was able to easily find the ingredients I needed. The prices are extremely fair. This will definitely become a first stop location for alot of speciality ingredients.
The lady working was so nice! Helped me find everything I needed, and even told me how to make it! Ill be going back for sure... Even if only for the great customer service!
Great little market. Owners are incredibly friendly and have great variety of products in shop.
These people are so nice and a joy to walk into. Best green tea around. The noodles are awesome. Love exploring too.
Everything you could need and at great prices. Super friendly service.
Diiked it
I do most of my shopping here .. they are like family . I was buying a drinking one day and left a 5 on the counter which they returned 4 dollars to me the next time I came, good produce. Affordable kimchi. Good variety
Has good products but too expensive for what they sell. A box of roast pork is $21. Whole roast duck is a whopping $28.The small banana rice cake wrapped in banana leaf is $5. 2 boxes of pork steam buns are $20. I mean the charge way too much for things that you can buy at other Asian markets. I am not the only one that says the charge too much but they also be ringing up prices of items that you dont purchase and add to your total so like every time you go there you will likely be paying $100 or $200 for the least. Also the have signs saying they have fresh seafood and produce but really they just have that available 2 times a week. On weekends they serve food that they cook in the back of t market kitchen to people that call in or people that just come to eat that cant cook or dont have time to cook. They charge way too much for that, too! What are they thinking? At the end of the day people are buying food not buying clothes. Omg I really think they need to lower the prices ASAP or I dont know what will happen to their business.
Small market but well stocked. I was trying a new recipe and they stopped stocking and helped me find what I was looking for.
Love this place
Great place to shop. Very nice ladies that work there.
A little disorganized, but the wide selection makes it worth it!
Stuffed full of Asian goodies
Great variety of authentic Asian ingredients including vegetables and some homeward.
Good Morning Vietnam ! The Saigon Market, a Wonderful piece of S.E. Asia right here in Roanoke.... A very friendly staff ! The ladies are too sweet....
Small grocery with a good selection of canned Asian delicacies and fresh Asian veggies, noodles and some seafood
You know that when your immigrant Vietnamese mom says this is a really good store that you found the real deal. Ive been shopping here for the past 2 years, and they have the key items to make just about any Vietnamese dish, notably fresh chá lųa wrapped in banana leaves, top quality nuóc mám nhì, and all kinds of fresh vegetables and herbs. Their produce shipments come on Fridays. And the owners are so nice.
Small place but decent selection!
Not very people friendly.seems to be aggrivated with any and everyone
