Clayton gives me hope. Wonderful affordable homes.

Communication is non existent unless you force it on them. Project been underway for 1 year today. Home has been on site for one month with little progress and loads of excuses as to why. Personally have already prevented two major mistakes they would have made if I wasnt on site! Also, looks like they need to limit their service area too, as the fact that my home is not in York County seems to be presenting problems for them also. Process not going well, I will update this post bi-weekly.Second review. In the past two weeks I have witnessed a whirlwind of work accomplished on my home. Communication has improved and process moving well.

Clayton homes Rock Hill Customer service sucks!! We specifically told the sales person Michael we were In town for a short amount of time. He doesn’t return calls or communicate well at all regarding the the process. He took our application and never called with an update after promising us he could get a site visit for our land prior to us leaving.It’s always the excuse of being busy or he forgot a simple email. No other sales rep tries to help. A waist I’m glad there not the only builders In our area to build our home.

Scammed out of a grand by this place. Picked out a home, got financed and the communication stopped. Found out the home we picked out had risen in price beyond our budget and already sold to someone else. Worst place to buy a home. When you see the sign keep driving. Theres a reason they have an F rating with the BBB.

Only was able to see a few homes. Most were not set up. A clayton homes associate informed me that the prices are going up each week due to lumber shortage. Homes that were 80,000 just last year are now 130, 000. The homes we did see were nice though eventhough they were overpriced

Awesome floor plans and prices that match! Michael Homell has been great through the buying process! These mobile/modular homes aren’t those of the 80s! Lots of space with some higher end additions!

If yall ever need a house. Clayton Homes Of Rock Hill is the place to go. They have been amazing throughout this whole process. If something goes wrong with the house, They are out here same day or first thing next morning. Hands down the best people ever! Very friendly. I could go on and on about these kind folks. Thanks again to everyone at clayton homes. Thos Merritt was the one that helped us threw this.

I highly recommend the people at Clayton Homes of Rock Hill if you are in the market for an awesome manufactured home. Their staff are very professional and friendly, especially the sales person I dealt with, Bobby Belfield. It took a little longer than we thought it would, but it was no fault of Claytons. I have been in my new home for a little over a month now and couldnt be more pleased. Bobby went above and beyond the call of duty to get everything taken care of for me, including the demolition of an old, existing home on my lot. The only complaints I have are with some of their contractors/sub-contractors, but they are minor issues. Overall, they made it a very enjoyable and satisfying experience and Id recommend them to anyone. Thanks so much, guys!

A quick look left us feeling like they were over-priced

Friendly staff. Unwilling to ask builders about modifications to accommodate disabilities and changes to manage ability to age in place. Cookie cutter floor plans, but ok if you can adapt. Worth a visit.

Last year we tried to purchase a home from these people. We were told if we got financing, theyd put us in touch with someone who could help us find land. Well, we held up our end of the deal. They didnt. We called and emailed them repeatedly to get the name or number of the person who was supposed to help us. Nothing. Still living in our rental because of these people. I must have called them ten times in a month trying to get someone, ANYONE to call me back. Complained to corporate. Their response? Let me send you a video on how to get financing for your new home! HELLO, THAT WASNT MY COMPLAINT! Clayton Rock Hill and Clayton in general is a gigantic letdown. Im pretty sure all the manufactured homes near us are Clayton linked, so it wouldnt even do us any good to go to another location. Way to lose guaranteed business!

Worst place to buy a home. Limited information and cant keep the same story. Better off buying a house than a mobile home. Customers service is a joke and

We went there to look at the floorplans and quality of the double wides and modular homes. Jordan helped us and he was so nice, very knowledgeable, and very patient. He seemed to genuinely like working there and being helpful. We will definitely be purchasing through Jordan and Clayton Homes as soon as we find our land!

I have only great things to say about this place. I started my home search process maybe a month-and-a-half ago. I decided to go with the mobile home because I got more for my money. Jordan Landrum has been my go-to guy. He has kept me up-to-date on everything that I need to know. I just signed a contract so they can start building my home. I will keep you guys updated once my home is complete.

Sales people arent pushy but make empty promises and give you false hope. If they say itll only take 120 days nope. Try about 5-6 months just to get through the finance approval no matter how good your credit is. Then theyll build the home (about another 4 months) then it came be set-up (about 3 more months). So all In all about almost a year before you can actually be in a home. So my advice is to buy something on the lot or live a box.

We had no problems at Clayton. We were treated with respect and courtesy. We had all our questions answered and are very pleased with everything. Great place!!

This Clayton home team is top notch. They did a great job with my land and modular purchase and I have recommended them to several people.

Though the salesman for my brother was awesome that was the only thing that was good. They said the house was finished but left closets unfinished. Left holes in the crown molding. Back door wasnt put on right. Back bathroom flooded due to wrong peice put on the back of tub. Um ac unit kept messing up. They make you pay for a good thermostat but its faulty. Nails were poking out in places. And thats not all. Not to mention they only have one guy coming around to fix things who says he did or does his job and writes it off but doesnt fix anything. Ronnie. So all together no dont buy from this location.

Went into Clayton to talk to someone about a modular they had on the lot. told the manger we were looking to build or buy a modular for our property and told them a builder had given us a finished price of 147k for what we were looking for. the manager told us let them build it then and would not discuss pricing of their homes...how is that for customer service?

Staff was very helpful, answered any question we had and let us see homes on our own!

I just wanted to Thank Bobby Belfield and Clayton Homes Rock Hill for getting me into my home! I’m a single mom and it was a long road but I made it and they made it possible for me!! Thanks so much!!!

Went there to get a better understanding and pricing and never got any communication back. Wasted my time driving down and speaking to them to never get any communication at all.

If you want to be lied to and waste your time this is the place to go. Me and my boyfriend had been on the market for over a year with an approved loan of a 130 thousand. With all of the homes we found being sub par I finally convinced my boyfriend to just take a look at some modular homes after a family member told me that modulars could be built with two by fours now and that caught his attention. Ive always loved modulars so I called Clayton homes and spoke to Bobby and told him the situation and asked him how many modulars he had for viewing at his location and if they would be in our price range. He told me that he had about ten modulars to see and were definelty within our budget so we jumped in the car and took the hour long trip to see them. On arrival we were told that there were only two modulars there with the rest being double wide trailors. So one of the sales men walked us through the first one which we both loved by the way and were hit with the price tag of 350 thousand dollars!! I dont know why they even showed us that home with it being three times over our budget! I laughed and told him that I told Bobby our budget over the phone and that we were there to see units that we could afford to point us in a better direction. So the salesmen sensing our discontent told us he had other things to do and passed us the keys to all of the units and told us to see them ourselves and left us standing there. So on to the next and only modular on site which was twice our budget and not built with two by fours, so basically a trailor. And that didnt even include the fifty grand of add on costs of setting the trailor up. I dont know what kind of fool would buy a two hundred thousand dollar trailor built with all fake veneers when they could buy a real home with real wood but to each their own. So anyway just for the fun of it we went around and viewed the other single and double wide trailers on the lot to laugh at the ridiculous prices and look at the fake woods and tiles. And even with our generous budget, even if we bought the cheapest trailor they had being 60 thousand, with the add on set up cost being around fifty thousand... We couldnt have even bought a single wide trailor there! Such a joke. Thanks for lying to me and wasting five hours of my life Bobby. These salesmen are ruthless I tell ya.
