Whats not to like. The owner is an awesome guy, the comics are sorted nicely, and my favorite part is the shop itself. The shop at first glance is just a house that someone converted into a comic shop. The only thing that I can think of to complain about is the size of the shop. It is on the small side and kinda hard to navigate. But on the grand scheme of things its only a small complaint. Overall do not miss this shop if you are a collector. Also bring cash.

Tim is a really great guy. He goes out of his way to help. I feel bad when I see him but dont get to his store as often as I used to. He always keeps his eyes open for good stuff, and if youre looking for something he calls as soon as he gets it .Clean store, organized, friendly service . Its all great.

Mellow Blue Planet is the place to go in the Quad Cities for all things comic and collectible. Look for the pea green house with an OPEN sign in the window, and step on in to a world of entertainment. Too much to look through in one visit, so plan on many a return trip. The owner is a super nice, patient, and knowledgeable guy that will help you find what youre looking for without the condescending attitude you may have received at some shops. Worth the time, check it out!

Owner was very nice. As a back issue collector, you will not find any cheap issues here. All cover price or higher. Kind of disappointing. Overall a good experience, the main area is tight but there is a ton of stuff if you have the time to look through it all.

Tim is very knowledgeable and has an amazing selection. Hes curdently holding some books for me while i go off to army basic.

It is a place were I go to visit my friend and pick up what I need no hassle. If he doesnt have it Tim will look for it for you on the net or call around.

Comic books, dc, marvel and the best place for independent comics. Supplies by the box. Figures, statues,shirts. Ask Tim for it and he will get it. Nuff said.

I always like visiting places like this, where someone has dedicated their life to their passion. This is a retrofit of a house into a business. I was looking for vintage roleplaying game books, which they did not have. but the owner was extremely helpful in suggesting alternatives. They stocked a plethora of new and vintage comics, graphic novels and were on top of the comic convention scene too. This is a must-visit location for any aficionados visiting the Quad Cities area!

Great supply, well organized. Kind as all get out. Just thinges that could use some touch ups like the stairs, it isnt a store you can easily shop in if you have a bad back or bum leg. But I feel like Im cheating if I shop anywhere else!!

Awesome comic book shop. MBP is my go to shop in Rock Island. The owner, Tim, is a stand up guy and really knows his comics. Not only does MBP carry your major publishers but also has quite a few indie titles. There is also tons of memorabilia, graphic novels and boxes upon boxes of back issues. Just an FYI, bring cash! Tim takes credit card or debit but only for purchases of $20 or more. I couldnt recommend MBP more, stop on in!

Tim has a great store. Carries a wide variety of comics by many different publishers. A go to for any comic needs.

Superb customer service

I was in town and hit a few comic shops. Lots of merchandise but it was super cluttered and hard to navigate. The lady who ran the register didnt seem to know anything about comic .
