Great food and environment. A little slow on food delivery but was very good

Dont buy to go, spent $ 40, disgusting, burning around the edges, damp inside, put in a cheap canned tomato sauce.

Good pizza, soggy wings, playlist like a college bar in 2009. 5 out of 5.

Really fun place with lots of room to social distance while enjoying some tasty food, great beers, wine, cocktails and spend time with family or friends!!

A really good place to visit and have a good beer. Otherwise visit the one in Sutherlin Oregon for great food and the same beer..

The menu is basic. My food was mediocre. My wife didn’t eat her sandwich because the meat tasted rotten. Beer was good but one of the samples I tried was warm.

Amazingly friendly local brew pub with a great selection of craft beers and a nice selection of pub fare (including wood fired pizza). The beer quality is impressive and they offer beer flights - I recommend a flight for sampling.Service was some of the most pleasant I’ve experienced anywhere. We probably sampled half their tap selection before making our choices and the server was more than willing to continue. This is a great local place to try.

Decided to have our wedding here over Labor Day weekend, amid COVID, to which up until the very last second management and employees refused to wear masks. The day of the wedding they miraculously lost all the info regarding our menu, which was a super huge part of the wedding as we had guests who vegetarian. What we received for food was rotisserie chicken cut up with Parmesan cheese labeled “garlic Parmesan wings” a salad with ranch, ranch, balsamic, and mystery sauce. We were promised endless pizzas as part of the deal, over half of which were burnt to a crisp. The entire venue was disgusting to say the least, and we were promised by the manager Carly that the entire warehouse was just dirty from some event, and would be clean when we arrived. Well when we arrived to set up WE had to clean the entire place. 20 or so minutes into vigorous cleaning an employee, maskless, finally came out to help clean.Needless to say, very disappointed and I don’t recommend.If you want your dream wedding, it’s definitely not here, ours definitely wasn’t.

This is the place to come if you want freedom from responsibility of not spreading Covid! Nobody, and I mean nobody, is wearing masks. This includes ALL staff: the girl pouring the beer, the guy making the pizzas, and the girl doing the FOOD PREP. But dont worry. Chances are you or a loved wont die or become seriously ill. Probably. Most likely. Only happens to other people.Also, the pale ale kinda blows.

Great place good food, the best gluten free pizza crust I have ever had. Kids love it. They have corn hole you can play, awesome outside area with fire pit. All the staff are great as well. Will definitely go back.

One of our favorite Roseburg eats and brews. Cool place to for parties, groups. Dog and kid friendly. Lawn games and fun. We love backside!

Upon entering I was hopeful as this looked like a good spot and had good reviews. I was there to simply pick up some beer but was baffled by the environment. There were children everywhere which I found somewhat strange for a brewery. Beside that there were 3 men all brandishing open carry firearms. Now I am aware that Oregon is an open carry state but Im pretty sure that it is not legal to carry a firearm in a drinking establishment. To top it off the staff was not wearing masks (this included bartenders and kitchen staff) which is currently the mandate. The beer was alright.

Great place. Had a flight of beer and a margarita pizza. Kid friendly with shuffle board, ping pong, and corn hole. Nice find while being out of town, will return.

Pleasantly surprised by the venue. Good beer and good pizza, win win! It didnt hurt that we got to watch the beavers win the college world series while we were there either.

Worst beer in Douglas county. Possibly the whole state. Flavor is all off. Way too sweet. Disappointed. Try north forty or two shy for much better beer.

The best margaritas! Fresh squeezed and delicious!great outdoor space with games and space for the kiddos.

Had the stout- quite good. No masks by customers or the wait staff. Very inefficient way of taking orders for food and beer.

Finally made it here. Enjoyed a tasty pizza and refreshing peach blonde. Brother Joe had the stout. Worth a stop.

Great place. Family friendly environment. Weekend entertainment. Staff works hard to please all customers. Amazing food. Delicious beer. The owners are hard working, very thoughtful and outside the box thinkers. Watching their vision come true for this Douglas county community has been awesome. They are young hard workers, just what this town needs. Backside is a kickass place to come hang out at, enjoy a weekend, enjoy a meal.. or a wedding! Gotta check out their party packages! They seriously will check all your boxes!! You’ll enjoy it all!

Fun environment that is laid back and family friendly. The outside eating and social area is a fun option as well, as it has ping pong and other games to enjoy. The pizza is delicious! The drinks are good as well. I don’t drink beer but my hubby does and he likes it here. Only wish they had some more options for different cocktails and more food options. Overall a great place for a night out and socializing.

Used to love this place. Decent beer, delicious pizza. They are not following State Guidelines though regarding social distancing, face masks, and large gatherings. Will not be returning.

The pizza is decent enough, but if you are concerned about potential exposure to COVID, I would encourage you not to visit this establishment. My wife and I went in this evening to pick up a pizza. The restaurant was jam packed; there was no social distancing; and it seemed as if we were the only ones wearing masks.Unfortunately, as of this writing, COVID cases are increasing in Oregon, including in Douglas Co. Such irresponsible behavior on the part of the Backside owners not only prolongs the pandemic but hastens its spread in Roseburg.

It was a cold, rainy winter night when my wife and I first stepped into Backside Brewing. We were new to Roseburg at the time, and we were looking for a cool, local microbrewery with good vibes and beers to boot. Well, we found it! Backside is a chill brewery with just the right amount of character to make it uniquely Roseburg. The beer is the star of the show here. My favorite being the Peach Ale, crisp, light and refreshing. And yet the fruit flavors are not overpowering. Also enjoy the Hazy IPA. I’m not a huge fan of IPAs in general. They all seem to taste the same. But this one from Backside is especially good. Props to the brewer.The food is really good too. The pizzas are giant. Think New York style thin crust, but piled with fresh toppings. For a large pie, the price was pretty decent too. The tacos are good too. Street tacos on Tuesday, how can you go wrong? Toasted subs with chicken, salami, pepperoni. Great food suggestions for a weekend afternoon. Outside, they have corn hole and other yard games to play while you wait for food, or just for hanging out. Plenty of outdoor seating, great for when the suns out.

Went to support Habitat For Humanity, the Hammer and Ales event. Had a great time. They had extra parking in over flow lots. Two food trucks plus there brick fire pizza and regular menu. It was well hosted.

I love Backside Brewing Co. They never disappoint!! The staff is AWESOME, too!

The pizza was meh (the crust was blackened but the center of the slice had zero structural integrity) and mostly two stars for them not enforcing the statewide mask-when-inside mandate. The staff themselves were compliant but no one was telling the customers walking in to order at the bar that they needed to be wearing masks.

They have really great oven-baked pizza, friendly staff, and host events such as live concerts, fundraisers, and participate in pub crawls, too! They also updated the look of their wine storage room / warehouse, it looks great! Fun place.

Great local brewery and wood fired pizza. Went there to catch-up with military friends, outside set-up is awesome. Seemed very family friendly. If Im ever back through Roseburg, will come back.

Fit for a bigger town, this brewery is incredibly pleasant in looks and feel, and run by some of the most charming individuals. Do recommend!

I visited on a day the farmers market (really a yuppie crafts market) was hosted in an adjacent building. Service was poor, beer was served in a plastic cup as glass cups were all in use, food to table was an hour. Waiter was AWOL so it was self service and inconvenient. $16 pizza was the size of medium. The environment is warm and family friendly, but I would be hesitant to return for anything more than a single beer. The beer was excellent.

Nice atmosphere, family friendly. We enjoy their pizza, sandwiches, and calzones (baked in their brick oven) along with the beverages. They always have water handy as well as soda and hot tea in addition to their fantastic beer. There are indoor and outdoor games available as well!

The atmosphere was fun, the music was great, the servers were attentive, food was delightful so happy that they have gluten-free options. Will definitely be going back

If you go here you better bring the bankVery noisy and expensive!! You dont get your moneys worth. I ordered chicken on the margherita pizza and got 5 pieces each less than the size of a dime. Very disappointing.

Too hot and loud. 3rd best brewery in town but the pizza oven makes it a unbearable to be in the building.

We were up in roseburg for the holidays, and well, sometimes you just need to get out of your wifes grandmothers 90 degree house. This brewery had some really good food and great tasting IPAs. The nachos and cheese sticks were both cooked in tje wood fire oven, and tasted really good. Hopefully next time we are here, there will be a bigger merchandise selection. Cheers.

I have been to Backside lots of times but just for the beer (peach is my fav!). Never tried their pizza so decided to give it a try last weekend. Was very disappointed. The guy making our pizza was too busy flirting with some bimbo at the other end of the bar... My friend and I heard him say out loud oh shoot! Let me go check on that pizza! (Not speaking to us but to the people at the opposite end of the bar). He got our pizza out of the oven, plopped it down in front of us without saying a word and rushed back to his friends. The pizza was horrid! It was clearly over cooked, the tomato slices were WAYYYY too thick on the margarita pizza. The pizza fell apart. There was too much corn meal on the bottom.. I could go on but I think you get the idea. My friend and I each had one piece of a large pie and left the rest behind (what a rip off for $14!). We got the check and left. Did not feel like a valued customer at all. If it wasnt for the beer I would give a 1 star.
