Very reliable and affordable store. Ill be back real soon. Highly recommend
I was able to find a snowblower just in time for our snow storm! Great service; the rep took time to make sure I knew how to operate the snowblower. Would definitely recommend! 👍 👍
Brought a generator in for repair and was told it would be a week before they cold get to it, fine. Two weeks pass and they call explaining that the original wiring harness had been altered and were not willing to do any repairs on the unit (nothing was ever altered. I have owned it since new and did no such alterations). OK, I can take to someone who knows what they are doing, no problem. When I go to pick up the generator, I notice all of the bolts that hold on the control panel and the main handle to move the unit are missing. I notify the guy up front who promptly scurries to the back. He comes back and tells me that the service tech (aka the owner) says they are not there. After speaking to the owner, he calls me a liar and said I never brought it in with the bolts and my motivation was free hardware for my broken generator, smh. A shouting match ensues. Cashier guy says theyll call me if they find them. Wouldnt you know, they call me the next day saying that my bolts were there and to come pick them up. I am handed the bolts without any words exchanged, none. No sorry we misplaced them, no sorry we called you liar, no whoops youre right we shouldnt run our business like a bunch of snakes, nothing. I will never go back to that store for anything. It used to be a local mom and pops hardware store whos owners cared about their community and the people in it. Those days are long gone.
Had my lawnmower repaired here. Took a week, but I thought that they were fair....mower back in business!
This is the place to go for the knowledge of repairing or replacing that broken thing. Been coming here over 30 years never disappointed.
The guy at the counter was so nice and pleasant and reasonable I took my lawnmower, snowblower, and my generator over to the store to get it fix and I was so amaze of how well they fix it and clean it
We had our power washer servicing done here; they are listed for servicing the model we were looking to get serviced; we received professional and timely service.
Horrible establishment.Very small, no parking, limited supplyHIGH PRICESHORRIBLE SERVICEI WOULD GIVE 0 STARS IF I COULD
It is a mom and pap store, but has everything you are looking for and the service is excellent, love it!!!!!!!!
They just fix my generator. Always fix my window screens. Everything you need in a local hardware store. Always polite customer service.
Good Snowblower and Lawn mower repair
Brought my snow blower there over a week ago, talked to the guy explained what was going on and he said a “TUNE UP” should fix it. Gave me the price $89.99, I said great! Get there today find out the price was $139.99 because they added new parts when that wasn’t talked about. No call saying the machine needed anything new which would have been nice. Not fair at all to me the paying customer. I own two businesses and will never bring another machine back to them.
Man at the counter was pleasant and helpful. They have a good selection of items that you might just need to dash out and get to finish something in the house. They also rent indoor/ outdoor equipment for a fair rate.
Very good shop for both supplies and repairs. Very helpful and friendly staff.
Good service and sometimes hard to find items that big box stores dont carry.
I had my son drop off my lawn mower to have the control cable fixed on a Saturday at 11am ( a simple minute procedure) they quoted my son $35 and told him they will call me when it was ready, the entire Saturday went by no call, the entire week went by no call finally I called the following Saturday not only was the control cable not replaced but they had the nerve to tell me that I had a bent shaft and had to replace the blades or else the lawn mower would not work and the total repair would cost $150 I declined, and ordered the cable from Sears and install the control cable myself, in under a minutes time. The lawn mower is currently working fine never again will I attempt to give them business they are a rip off!
Ive been going there since I was a kid when my dad had to give his lawn mower or snow blower tune-up. I always remember them doing a great job. Now I am in my forties and I still go to that place and its awesome.
Ive had my lawnmower serviced here for many years now, very reliable repair shop, courteous helpful honest employees!
Great local hardware store. Friendly and knowledgeable staff!
Fast service, prices ok
Great service, friendly staff
I was so impressed by the level of service that I received at Chestnut Hardware. All of the staff were very helpful.
I come here often. The owner is honest, reliable and always courteous. Always a terrific experience.
Very nice owner have things you cant find in lowes or hopedepot
Terrible service: They are listed as a an official Karcher service center, but if you bring your machine for repair there heres what you may hear: oh dont bother, it is only $300, just replace it, even before they take a look ! Incredible !!!! Dont waste your time driving there. They just dont care.
Had my snowblower serviced here great service and price
Very busy shop so the wait to repair small engines can run approximately 10 to 15 days.
Been going to this store for over 20 years! Remember the smell of an old school hardware store? This is the place! If you want one on one service, knowledgable and sincere, Chestnut Hardware is the place. No repair is too small! Lamps, screens, lawnmower and snowblowers, Ive had themall fixed here! Service with smile.
The only way local hardware stores can compete against the big box DIY stores is through service. Ive been taking my mowers and snow blower in for annual tune ups here for years and have received great service. Ive also come to rely on Chestnut Hardware to fix my window and door screens and sharpen all of our knives and scissors. Sooner or later Ill need some hardware, and rather than drive to THD or Lowes, I gladly shoot over to CH to get what I need. Support local businesses!
I had a bad experience with this guy. He not only screwed me of shoddy repair work he duped my father of $187.00 dollar repair on a 30 yr snowblower that should have been $50 dollars.. I hope he goes out of business soon.
Good service
WOW DONT WASTE YOUR TIME TOOK MY BLOWER TO THEM WAITED 3 WEEKS FOR THEM TO FIX THE PRIMER BULB JUST PICKED IT UP AND IT WONT START 42 BUCKS DOWN THE DRAIN
Called to see if they had a part for a saw and the guy didnt have time for me.
Chestnut Hardware has it all.
I took a pressure washer to repair they made me wait 2 months they said it was the pump and the problem was the motor and I had to bring it back without repairing after waiting so long!
