Had an awesome experience over at Top Gear Powersports. Flew down from Minneapolis to pick up a 2017 FXDLS, was being helped by Anthony and he made it simple and painless for me to get on the rode to drive back up north. They were also very accommodating to deposits and coming down to look at the bike before the final purchase. If Im ever looking for a specific bike again and they have it in, will definitely be making the journey down to have a little road trip back on the bike.

I usually take my Harley to a Harley dealer but recently I have found they don’t return calls. So I tried Top Gear Power Sports and I’m really happy I did. They are good at making sure what I wanted done was taken care of and on-time. Great service and communication through the process. Tony the manager even recommended a part that was as good as Harley original but less expensive. So I appreciated that.

Its kinda like a museum of vintage bikes. Simply amazing, if you love motorcycles. Anthony was very helpful and friendly and my wife is so happy with the service provided on her scooter! Would highly recommend to anyone who wishes to purchase quality smaller displacement bikes and service is quick and done with care for a reasonable price. Cant ask for more

I had to schedule pickup of my scooter 3 weeks ahead. Of course they didnt pick it up and didnt even call. So I called them and we scheduled a time for today. I called in the morning to see when they would come and they acted like they didnt know me - said they would call me back. Now at nearly 3:00 pm I called to cancel. This is horrible customer service. I have used them before and once the owner even gave me a ride home when I was stuck. I think they have grown too fast and need to hire more people or update their customer contact system. Till then I wont go there anymore.

Dupage Yamaha and carol stream Suzuki are the better places to go. Staff is more knowledgeable about gear at those dealers. Had a hard time getting simple questions answered here. Do not recommend.

First and foremost, I tend to lean towards family owned/run businesses particularly those that are well run such as Top Gear. I was a service customer (not sales) for my cruiser having them put on Vance & Hines exhaust system, ECU Power Commander using their Dynojet system, a semi synthetic oil change, new air filter, and some accessories.Tony, Anthony and his family work diligently and with a great attitude to ensure a personal experience with pride. From the time I walked in, it was like we knew each other for a long time and they took the time to ensure I knew what was needed as well as working with me to get my bike in ASAP. Post Covid life has apparently booked them solid but they ensured I was as much priority as any other customer and did so with a great attitude and enthusiasm about their work. Even upon pickup, as busy as the showroom was, they took the time to walk me back and show me everything they did in detail, test ride etc. If you want to support a local shop for sales or service, I clearly recommend them.Oh, and bonus, the shop dog Tucker is a solid part of the team as an old man walking around all day with a toy cigar in his mouth so make sure you say hi to him

Have been wanting to go to top gear for a few years just to check it out since I’ve always been interested in bikes. Finally got a reason to as I was interested in one of their pit bikes. After looking at the outside inventory for a few minutes and walking inside, I was not approached by anyone and had to walk myself to the front desk. Barker initially was nice but quickly turned aggressive and refused to sell or even give me any information regarding the bike as I was too big for it even though adults can ride pit bikes just fine. In addition, he was misinformed about his inventory as his co-worker had to correct him saying that there was the bike I was looking for in the front of the store. This mistake quickly changed his demeanor and we talked for a bit about the bike. My overall intuition was that Barker just did not want to further any deal out as it already began with a lot of hesitation. Customer service is everything to me and a lot of clients, even if a customer is seeking simple information.

Hands down the best place for motorcycle service and sales!!! They have taken care of my motorcycle for years and do an amazing job!

Took my motorcycle in to get new tires and at checkout I was told that the technician noted that my motorcycles oil was dirty and needed to be changed and was offered an oil change. Funny enough I had literally just changed my motorcycles oil the day before bringing it in for tires. I dont know what kind of technicians they have over there but either they dont know the difference between clean and dirty oil or theyre trying to upsell me things I dont need and are hoping Im dumb enough to fall for it. I will not be returning.

This is a family-run store selling motorcycles, riding gear, and tools. The selection is small but good quality and well thought out. Its easy to find what you need within that selection, but they will order a different size or color from their suppliers if they dont have what you need in stock. They provide excellent advice based on their personal experiences with riding and racing.Tucker the dog is always happy to hang out with customers who appreciate the toys he shows them.I live 45 minutes away from here, but its my go-to place for motorcycle gear and advice.

Brought my 1989 honda shadow 600VLX to have some work done the staff was very attentive, and they kept me updated on the status as it progressed. I will be coming back for service on this and future bikes, thanks guys!

I went to wildfire harley Davidson to get new tires on my harley. When i got home my son heard a jingle up front. So we looked and it was my front tire axle nut it was loose. This is not a joke this could of been my life. So i went here and they fixed it for me. This will be my new shop to work on my harley. They are frendly and helpfull. I will never go to wildfire harley Davidson again. Inless i want to die on my motorcycle. My famly wants to thank the great team here. Thanks again for everything.

I was looking for a smaller bike to re-learn how to ride and Anthony could not have been nicer and more knowledgeable about the bike that I would ultimately purchase. He was friendly and explained in detail about the Benelli TNT135. I had a bad experience with a much bigger bike and did not have the confidence that you really need to ride a motorcycle and actually have fun. I just got back from riding my bike and I had a HUGE smile on my face!!! I felt very comfortable on it and had a lot more confidence than my first experience. When I went to pick the bike up, Anthonys co-worker, (who I believe is also named Anthony : ) went over and explained about the bike, servicing and maintenance. Tony, the owner of the shop also mentioned the recommended service to keep the bike running well. I can honestly say that this business, owner and employees are fantastic!!! I would HIGHLY recommend Top Gear Powersports for anyone looking for a bike, parts and service. Keep up the great work!!! Also, their pup, Tucker is pretty dang cute and just adds to the friendliness of the shop!!! Thank you for such a nice experience buying a motorcycle!

Horrible service. Top Gear took weeks to diagnose and fix the charging system on my bike. Thanks to sloppy work and garbage parts, the whole system was dead within a month. Took the bike to the dealership to re-do all the work, they fixed the bike the same day with OEM parts. Save yourself time and money and stay away from Top Gear. Only giving them one star because they have a cool shop dog.

Brought in two Michelin Commander III tires for mounting on stock Harley rims. The Commander 3s have a VERY stiff sidewall. Despite many tries using many different methods the tires refused to bead up. Tony (owner) called me with the bad news - but when I got there to pick up the tires and rims, he said he didn’t want me leaving without finishing the job. Tony and his mechanics went above and beyond to get these tires mounted and eventually had success. I was amazed at the level of service they provided. I am now a customer for life. Thanks for the great experience and your diligent work to get the job done!

Last week I purchased a Wolf V150 Scooter. I’ve only got a hundred miles on it so far, never rode a scooter before, but this thing is truly the way to go. Back and forth from Addison to Schaumburg, it’s the perfect fit.I’ve got several motorcycles, from custom Harley’s, a 125 motocross bike I purchased from Top Gear Powersports a couple months ago, to a high performance BMW R nine T Cafe, and I’ve got to be honest, this little scooter is absolutely a blast!As a matter of fact, I’m thinking about purchasing another 150 for the airport.Top Gear, Tony, Anthony and crew are the best.The most important thing to Tony, is “Customer Service” which is second to none at Top Gear Powersports.Thank you Tony.

They did a thorough inspection to make sure my new purchase was in good shape and let me know what I need to do to it to get it ready for warm weather. Highly recommend this super friendly staff!

Awesome bike shop! Recently moved to the area and was looking for a shop that specializes in older motorcycles as I have an old KZ1000 Police Special. After reading the reviews I drove over and talked to Tony. He showed me around and showed me many older bikes that he and his crew worked on and put my mind at ease. I had already spent over $1100 on getting this bike up and running from another shop in Ohio and it still just didnt run like it should have. Tony took it in and by the time I had it back, it ran perfect! Was so pleased I took my 2016 KLR to him for a 5,000 mile service. I had bought it used and when I got it back from Tony, it ran better than when I bought it. Hes earned my business and he and his shop are now my permanent motorcycle shop (the Goldwing will be the next one!). Thanks Tony!

Brought my 1977 Yamaha in and they outlined everything to the detail on what was going to be needed to get it running like a top again. Took a ride to Top Gear Powersports to look for a new motorcycle jacket. After speaking with 3 different employees (all were very nice and helpful) I ended up choosing a great jacket that had to be ordered. Ended up leaving with a new Sena helmet communicator as well. I will definitely be back.

Well for starters sometimes I am not very smart. I had a 2010 Honda NT700 and I was never really happy with it. The plastic body was garbage. The luggage cracked and I had to remove the lock assemblies and replace them with with latches. It was a cheap made motorcycle but you could ride it anywhere you wanted to. Mechanically it was great. I had owned 1200 Bandits before and I made up my mind I was going to get another one. My wife has a 1250 Bandit. So I found one online at Top Gear. Tony and I worked out a deal and I traded the Honda for a 2002 Bandit. Now trading a 2010 bike for a 2002 isnt the brightest thing a person can do but I did it. I have bought bikes online before and did very well. This time not so much. It turned out my 2002 bike had a 1997 engine on it, so I really have more of a 1997 bike. I did not mind that so bad because Tony said the mileage was lower on the engine. Well then the problems started. It had a small oil leak from the oil filter so I decided to remove the filter and see what was wrong. I had one hell of a time getting the filter off. It was either cross threaded or put on so tight it pulled the threads on the oil filter union. The union came out with the filter. I had to replace the union. The bike had been dropped on the left side and the headlamp housing was cracked so I got the J B Weld out and patched it up but I guess it broke the projector and so now I have to buy a new one. The fork seals were seeping so I replaced them. They put a chain on it and left off the clip that goes on the master link so I had to get a master link. I noticed the link was out farther than it should be and it was because the rubber o rings were left off the inside. They did not bother greasing the master link and it was already rusty. Who ever installed the engine used the 2002 neutral light switch and it did not work very well so I bought one for 1997 and I had to cut and splice wires but it works now. Tony was very nice and he put up with all my complaining and I realize that most of this was my fault for trading for something without seeing it but I still would have not known it had a different engine. The bike looked stock and you would think it had not been abused because it was stock. How many bikes do you find that still have the stock exhaust on them? Any ways my advice to anyone buying a bike online is make sure you are ready for a let down and dont assume pictures tell the whole story. I am not as mad at Tony as I am at myself. My wife told me I should not do the trade but I did it. So it is what it is. The picture is how the bike looked on the website. Looks really good doesnt it?

I came here for the first time a few weeks ago. I was looking for a certain riding jacket that they ended up having and they were all quick to help me. The jacket ended up being on sale with them and I looked at the wall to find a helmet I had just bought elsewhere in stock there and on sale for half off! Go here for gear!When I was ringing out I asked about having a new full exhaust installed with a fuel management system and before I knew it I scheduled an appointment for that. It turned out perfect and they had the bike for only two days before it was back with me. Their prices for services are very reasonable too and theyll price match most places for parts. Purchased a 20 year old Yamaha YZF600R Thundercat from Top Gear a couple of weeks ago from their website. Bike was exactly as described. Had it delivered to me in East Tennessee, shipped super-quick. Couldnt be happier---bike was thoroughly serviced, had brand-new tires, and runs like a top!Thanks Anthony and Tony and the mechanics and everyone at TGP, including the delivery driver! Bought a bike from another shop across town which had a lot of issues I was never told about, these guys fixed everything and worked with me on keeping costs down. They stepped up and fixed what the other shop hid! I will absolutely keep coming back TK these guys. Honesty is hard to find, but you can trust them!

I went to Top Gear Powersports to purchase a new helmet. Anthony was very patient while I tried on several helmets, and was effective at helping me find the right fit to narrow my options. At no point did I ever feel pressured into buying something, and he even told me getting the right helmet is important and that I should take my time. I intend to return here the next time I need new motorcycle gear.

The people at Top Gear are great. Anthony and Tony have helped me out so much. Anything you need, these guys can order it. Earlier this year I dropped my bike off, they did my brakes, stainless steel brake lines, steering bearings, fork service, tires, put a speedo healer in and threw my bike on the dyno for a tune. To top it off, I caught a nail in my tire, brought the wheel in, they had the tire in stock!! And mounted the new tire within minuets. I love this place, told my buddy about it, he had them do not 1, but both of his bikes! I would recommend Top Gear to any rider of any type of bike.

I can honestly say Tonys shop is the best motorcycle shop around, the prices are great, and the customer service is fantastic. Everyone working is truly knowledgable on motorcycles and accessories. I have bought a few riding accessories such as shirts, a helmet, and I plan to go back as often as I can! Great place to go, I highly recommend it!

Was hoping to find my go-to shop for all my needs and was very disappointed with my experience! Was charged nearly $600 for some basic maintenance work/inspection. After I got the bike back it still had problems and so i have to pay more money somewhere else. Not much apparel in the store worth looking at even. Cheap brands, your better off buying online. Will not be back!!!

I went to Top Gear Powersports to shop for a new helmet. I was greeted as soon as I stepped in the door. Trying to find a helmet that fits well is always a pain. However I was helped through the process by Tony who was extraordinarily helpful and patient. He helped me try on 10 or 15 helmets before I found the right one. I would have given up if not for Tonys assistance. I only have good things to say about Tony and Top Gear Powersports.

A+ customer service! We got there 10 minutes before closing, knowing we had to run in just to check out one type of helmet. Tony never blinked and spent the next 30 mins making sure we got the right fit, the right options, the right everything.

Stopped in just to see a new motorcycle shop since Id not seen them before. Looks like the ownership is invested in motorcycling from the collection of 70s & 80s bikes there, mostly owned by the shop owner. Very enthusiastic, knowledgeable and polite manger showed me the new bikes from SSR and Benelli, the latter; a respected make from the past. I was surprised at the apparent quality of the new brands despite the reputation of other bikes and scooters made in China, as their new brands also are. Her assured me that although these are built in Malaysia and China, the quality control design and engineering is European based. I know Honda - as well as the other big four Japanese brands - started small, in a time when anything beyond a transistor radio from Japan was seen as suspect. Logic suggests that if motivated; a Chinese brand with a long term plan could gain a foothold and a good reputation in America in the same way the Japanese brands have. The price of the bikes, feature for feature and fit and finish being equal was about 60 percent of a similar Japanese model. If build quality, durability, reliability and after sale support are good, the only thing stopping them will be sales.

Clean place lots of bike related items in-store good outsourcing resources the faculty know what they are doing here.

This place really deserves the high ratings that we are all giving it. I am just starting out in the world of motorcycles and stopped by last night to get myself a helmet (and ended up getting some additional starting gear as well). Tony was super helpful in helping me select the right helmet for my head and answered all of my questions. I felt the prices were more than fair (actually the helmet and jacket were less than I was expecting them to be).In the world of internet shopping it might be possible to find the same gear for cheaper than I paid for it (again, the prices were fair and I paid less than I was expecting to) but there is nothing like the ability to really feel things out, try things on, and have a face to face person to answer your questions and guide you to the right gear. That goes double for the thing protecting my brain. If there is one thing I am willing to pay extra for, it would be outstanding customer service and Top Gear certainly provided that.They will be my first stop whenever I need more gear.
