Best use of money Ive spent all year. JD came same day. Did a thorough analysis of my garage door issue...fixed it! JD is a great guy and enjoyed speaking with him. After he left my house, be said he would text me with some options. He reached back out a few days later and said he had computer issues and would get back with me soon. Since then it has been 10 days and still no word. I need to get this done so decided to go with someone else. I did let him know and he was very apologetic. I appreciated that but I wasted a ton of time waiting and had to start from scratch. I cant say enough about how great JD is. He was able to get our custom door within a couple weeks and had it installed perfectly within a few hours. He cleaned everything up and took the old door and opener away at no charge. We decided recently we wanted to add a keypad and he came out same day and installed it, while he was here he oiled everything and adjusted the chain and springs. We were up a creek as our garage door came off track from having backed my car into it when it didn’t fully open. I tried to YouTube to see if I could fix it and made it worse. The garage door started to collapse in on itself. I called VIP Garage Door Services and JD who owns the company and is super polished and experienced on Saturday afternoon/evening on a holiday weekend. He had me send photos and troubleshot the issue over the phone. He came out on Sunday (which was a huge help to us) and quickly fixed our issues and gave some guidance on garage door maintenance. All of this was a huge help. When you are in a pinch it means a lot to feel like you can trust those who are helping you in a vulnerable spot. VIP Garage Door Services is a company you can trust. They also do garage door installation, garage door opener repair and replacement, and insulation. I appreciated talking to him about these options as he doesn’t approach it like a salesman. 5 stars all the way. JD does high quality work.I had an old wooden door that was rotting away and on its last legs. I had three other companies along with VIP Garage Doors come and quote me prices on replacing the door. The other companies all said that I needed a specialty garage door because of a water retention curb that was put in by the previous owners also that I will need the opener replaced. The prices were astronomical because of the special size of the door and they all said that the door wont seal.JD came by and said that he could work around the curb with a normal size door. When I could afford to have the curb removed, he would come back and readjust the door. Outside of the box thinking is sometimes required.JD is a straight forward, tell it like it is kind of owner. He did not try and up sell me on any of the fancy doors and even steered me toward a door that was practical for my budget.Thank you and keep up the great job JD.

5 stars all day, every day. Garage Door wasnt closing. Both sensors at the bottom needed replacing as well as wiring. And one sensor just plain wasnt working. Fantastic attention to detail. Didnt notice that the other working sensor had a crack that could let moisture in and fail in the future. Even lubricated all the moving components after sensor/wiring replacement. Will be a return customer for yearly lubrication and adjustments.

Called J. D. from a Forest Creek neighborhood group reference. They liked him a lot. I had an unfortunate situation with a company Id initially contacted. It was over two weeks, and I was still in the dark. J. D. came the next afternoon, had the hardware he needed (replaced a belt), adjusted everything, cleaned up, was a tad less expensive and put a smile on my face. I spent some time talking with him, and I can tell you, from my perspective, I wouldnt call anyone else.

I cant wait for my other garage door to need service!A few months ago my main garage door decided to start making super loud grinding noises. It was possible there could be different root causes, so rather than mess with it, I found VIP garage. After a quick call, JD explained what was the likely cause and even suggested I could fix it myself. Which is surprising. Given that, I decided Id let him check it out anyways.After a quick diagnosis in person, he was able to verify the root cause. Cheap part, but was not in his inventory. He called around, found it! It was late, so we had a follow up service the next day.Once he stopped by to replace the part, he decided to go above and beyond. First, he didnt even charge for the part. Second, he ended up basically remounting the garage door itself and replacing the wiring. Why? It wasnt quite perfect.He then spent even more time to get the adjustments just perfect so it closed and opened better than any garage door Ive ever used.End of the day, he didnt charge for any of the extra work. Just a very reasonable flat labor rate. Needless to say, Ill absolutely be calling JD again when his services are required.

This company is the bomb! We had a couple of garage doors replaced about a year and a half ago. The sales process was easy, no hard sell and the price was perfect.The installation was quick and seamless and the follow up was terrific. A few months after JD installed my garage door I was having issues with my door closing. After working on it for about a half an hour I finally gave JD a call. He was out the next day and had it working properly in minutes. One of our sensors got hit while moving some stuff out of the garage which stopped the door from working properly. Probably a very easy fix for someone who knows what they’re doing but I was impressed with his responsiveness. I highly recommend VIP Garage Doors.

JD converted my Wayne Dalton Torquemaster garage door to a regular torsion spring setup. He was very knowledgeable about the conversion and very reasonably priced. He came out the same day I called him and had the service done in under 1 hour.

If I could give ten stars, I would. The night before Thanksgiving, our garage door decides to break. Understandably, no one I called before JD would be able to come out until Friday. I had just gotten home around 3:45 pm from picking up my child from school, parked the car in the garage, closed the door just fine and went inside. Two minutes later, my husband and I heard this loud bang in the garage and we ran out to see what happened. Everything looked normal so I went to open the garage door again because now it was time to pick my other child up and the door would not open. We tried a few times and it just refused to open. Upon closer inspection, my husband saw that the metal spring had broken, hence the loud bang we heard. Luckily, the school is only a block away so not a problem there. When I got home, I jumped online and found JD with excellent reviews and I can surely see why. We gave him a call and he said he was in Bastrop at the time but he would be by in about 2 hours. He rolled up exactly within that time frame and got straight to work. He was done in less than an hour and he had also oiled all of the other parts of the garage door. My husband asked if he could watch and learn how he does it and JD had no problem. He also explained how to care for the door and gave a good product recommendation. Pricing was also good. My husband learned a lot about fixing garage door springs but we will still be calling JD for all of our future garage door needs and you should too! I dont even know where to start with this review, JD is simply your guy for anything residential garage door. I as most people called around and talked with many garage door companies to put a custom application high rise door in my garage with a jackshaft operator. Nearly every company I talked to said it could not be done or that I needed a complete new garage door. JD himself showed up, and with his engineers help they designed a custom fabricated kit that fit my door. He went above and beyond for me and sat in my garage and fabricated a high quality grade track to get my door as close to the cieling as possible. On top of that he installed a liftmaster jackshaft operator. Very very clean install, extremely nice guy. If I could only pick one garage door company for the rest of my life.... VIP is the only one on my list. From a simple install to a very complex custom fabricated install, JD does it all and he proved every other company out there that told me no....WRONG! I cannot say thank you enough, the man cave is in full effect now! If this review isnt enough for you to choose VIP, give him a call and he will prove himself what he is capable of doing and the knowledge he has with garage doors. He will not upset and will not put his stamp on it if its not perfect....., rant over.
