Dr. Chen is a excellent eye surgeon.I had cataract surgery on my left eye and results are amazing. Hes been gifted by the gods.

Acuity Eye group fit me in for an appointment quickly on short notice for a potentially serious detached retina. Dr. Tran was very pleasant, informative and very thorough in discovering the injury in an obscure area that could have been missed without closer examination. Dr. Chang confirmed the diagnosis.Immediate laser surgery following the exam by. Dr Chang treated the area from further retinal detachment. The 4 star rating was I felt they may be over booking and rushing their patients which could cause a less thorough examination. However under the stat circumstances I appreciated that they fit me in quickly and got treated immediately.

This place is awesome. I usually cant say that about, well any medical place of any kind. 99.99% of every doctor this doctor that place Ive taken my 90 year Mom sucks. This be place is awesome from person at front desk to doctors helpers. This place should be the bar that every medical place should strive to be.

My mom came to see Dr. Tom Chang twice at the Retina Institute because she had gone 95% blind in one eye over the past couple of weeks. He told her contradictory information during both visits. I was with her during the second visit, and when she was asking questions, he turned to me and asked if I could speak English. He said, your mom keeps asking the same questions and she doesnt understand me. He ignored my mom for the rest of the appointment and only spoke to me. I asked legitimate questions about her condition and when I asked how we could find out what was wrong with her eye, he just kept repeating I DONT KNOW in an extremely condescending tone. Eventually he stood up and left very rudely without telling us any plans about how to figure out what was wrong with her eye. He told us to come back in two weeks for a follow-up, as if her vision would magically return by then. If you want a shockingly rude, impatient, and patronizing ophthalmologist, this is 100% the place for you - ask for Dr. Tom Chang. Hes the perfect example of someone who shouldnt be in the medical field.
