OMG! The absolute best apple fritter Ive ever had (and Ive had a bunch). When I first saw the fritters, they looked flatter than the traditional fritters served at most places. I am SO GLAD I tried one. Just spectacular. The sausage, egg and cheese biscuit was amazing. I didnt know a sausage biscuit could even be amazing. Something about the bread receipe here is world class. I have to mention the fritter again though. I dont care if this place is not on your route, doesnt matter if the kids are whining about wanting fast food, doesnt matter if the spouse just wants to get something now to shut the kids up, none of it matters. Seriously. Take the time to get to this place and taste what every donut shop should strive to taste like. I live 4 hours away and Ill go out of my way to get back here.Well done Daylight Donuts, well done.

I picked up $40 worth of donuts at 0630 Friday morning and the apple fritter I got for myself was overcooked to the point of no return. I knew it was jacked up when I grabbed it from the bag and it felt like a chunk of iron ore and looked like a piece of iron ore... and tasted like a burned, iron ore flavored doorstop.The issue is not that it got overcooked but that someone, two or more people at least, were so involved in their work that quality assurance was tossed to the curb in homage to the almighty dollar and put that crusty, inedible cow patty in my bag and smile as I unknowingly drove away.If you are the gambling type, may I suggest that you visit them and roll the dice. Never no more!

Terrible service. My husband and I arrived in the drive through at 10:00 am and the 10:30 came and then I jumped out went inside and ordered. I ordered a Long john and 2 chochlate donuts and one glazed donut. The lady at the counter said she was half asleep.. When I finally had my order at 10:55 I reached into my bag and the chochlate on the Long john saturated the bag.

Housed in a cute brick building with beautiful flowers in front and a convenient drive-thru, DD offers food that has always been fresh and tasty, and the staff members are as nice as they can be. Its a bit of a drive for me, but it is well worth the trip!

Daylight Donuts got me spoiled. Every single time I visit another donut shop anywhere, I get angry. Daylight Donuts has glaze and frosting almost everywhere on theirs. Other shops are stingy with their glaze and frosting. Trust me. Go to Daylight Donuts.

Not only are the Donuts excellent, but this family run, business family, shares a love for Christ that you feel and see when you walk through the door!!! You taste and feel the love this family has for each other and all if their customers!

Drive thru line was a little slow, but always have friendly service and good food.

Were truckers and were delivery to the Dollar General next door, made the quick walk over and showed up just past closing. They served us anyway and the food was amazing. The biscuits tasted homemade and the filled donuts were awesome. Will be stopping in if were ever close by again!

Doughnuts are fresh daily. They are soft and sweet, so good. Store looks clean. Staff/owners are very nice and helpful.

Not the best donuts. You will HAVE to have a drink with your donuts. The glaze on the donuts is very gritty and will choke you. But the serve was very good.

I cant rate this place high enough, I love this shop...and they are the best people around. We love their donuts and they remember exactly how I like my coffee. Btw they have great coffee too. I really wasnt impressed. Maybe its because I grew up around great bakeries and doughnut shops. There were flies in the donut display case. The boudin kolache is not something I will ever get from them again, but it wasnt bad. My friend Taylor purchased a dozen donut holes. In n Out donuts is in a better location in Ruston, and their doughnuts are softer, although overly sugary. Maybe Daylight Donuts had an off day, today. Either way, Ill stick to the donuts I grew up around in the New Orleans area. I recommend this place to anybody who hasnt had actually good donuts before.

I grew up on Southern Maid Donuts and Daylight Donuts are the closest and best tasting donuts Ive found to Southern Maid. Be sure to ask for hot ones, they are the best!
