My wife and I have been diving with Aquatrek since the spring of 2013. We wanted to get certified and get some diving experience before our honeymoon. Chuck, Marvin, and the staff are great. They go above and beyond for their customers. Our honeymoon diving was fantastic and safe because of the training we received. In addition, weve traveled with their group to Cozumel twice so far and got great deals on both the trips and the diving equipment we purchased. Over the past two years we have met a lot of great people diving with them, and weve had a ridiculous amount of fun. Their training staff is extremely experienced and very personable, focusing on safety and diving within your personal limits. If you are looking for friendly people who dont deal in bullshit, you wont do any better than Aquatrek. Id trust them with my life, and have on multiple occasions.

On a road trip and pulled into the Sheetz to get gas. I see this dive shop behind the Sheetz. I cant NOT visit the shop when its right there! I go in and meet Chuck. He was the nicest, most gracious person Ive met in recent memory. The shop had a nice selection but more so, it was nice meeting Chuck. I didnt have long to visit but in that short time I felt very welcomed and he even gave me his personal cell phone in case Im driving through the area and need help with anything. How kind! I just wished I lived in the area so I could dive with Chuck!

I took an open water class with Aquatrek in 2010 through Virginia Western Community College as a 2 credit elective. I enjoyed the experience so much that Ive been diving with them ever since. Ive gone to Cozumel with them for 10 days and had a great time! Im planing on going to Fiji with them in 2016. Chuck is a wonderful instructor and the sheer amount of diving knowledge their dive staff has is beyond awesome. They really can take you to open water, to wreck to cave diving if you want. If you want a dive shop that has the knowledge and experience to take you anywhere you want to dive then this is the dive shop for you!

My husband and I first learned about Aquatrek Adventures, when our son took Scuba lessons and became certified under Chuck Swecker. I looking to get a mask to do some snorkeling and wanted to have by prescription lenses put in so I headed over to Aquatrek. Marvin and Ed were both very helpful and I had my mask back in time for our beach vacation. It was amazing for me to see so clearly all the marine life in the N.C. sound off Cape Lookout. We enjoy snorkeling and wanted to take our underwater experience to the next level so we took the shops, Try Scuba class lead by Chuck . It was great. Class was relaxed and if we had any question or problems, Chuck was there to resolve them. We were able to move at our own comfort level. I had a blast being able to stay under water and just play and relax. It is our plan to taking a class this winter so we can go diving with our son and the group at Aquatrek in the spring! If scuba is something you have thought about getting into give this shop a call. The Adventure is waiting for you.

Outstanding dive shop. Myself and two girls ages 14 and 12 received our Open Water certifications from Chuck. He did an awesome job with all of us being patient and reassuring us during the entire process. We have also began to dive with the group on a regular basis, a well diversifed group with someone for anyone to connect with. Always a great time. Marvin whom is equally encouraging and patient offers instruction for Extended Range training which I am invloved in as well. They have a nicely stocked dive shop with any thing you could want. There is no better dive shop in the Southwest Virginia. Five star outfit!

Great place to get all your supply for diving and find a diving family because once go there its like a family reunion.

Learned to dive with Rick, who is a wealth of knowledge, and finished my open water dives in Florida with the whole crew. Chuck is always concerned with making sure everyone is having a safe and fun time, and any of the dive cons and master divers were more than willing to answer questions and talk about my future diving plans. Not only did I complete my OW cert on this trip, I also completed my Nitrox, Naturalist, and Computer Diver specialties. After my certification dives were complete, I did a few more dives without direct supervision as a certified diver and felt completely secure and confident in my training, as did my buddy whom I met in the class. I ended up with a total of 8 dives in 3 days. I plan on continuing my training and cant wait for the next trip. As a big foodie, I was impressed with the eating establishments that were recommended... amazing food on the trip, which I hear is the norm.The shop is well stocked, and the staff is more concerned with getting you in the right gear that you need rather than making a sale. Air is o2 clean and EAN 32 is on bank. If you have a question about diving, Marvin, Rick, and Chuck have an answer.All in all, great experience all around, will be signing up for Deep and Night classes this summer.

If there was a 1 star i would give it to them, dont go here. when u get there if there is an old guy kinda big think his name is ED but he is the rudest person ever he is a big jerk i went to go get my scuba tank filled i am 17 years old i use it for Paintball use and i have filled here before by the owner Marvin. he is a nice guy it is 4.50$ i only had 4$ and he said that was fine but with this guy ED i walk in say hey i would like to get this tank filled (still in hydro) he said to me in a rude voice I ANIT FILLING THAT UP!!! so i say why not he seems to think that some 16-17 year old kids are going to go diving well lets just say where in Roanoke VA, and he told me you need to put on there its purpose he said written on the tank (paintball) so i said if i go to wall-mart and spray paint of the tank (paintball) you will fill it up well when i said that to him he had that 1000 yard stare looking at me for like 8 seconds i was like what is this guy doing he say once again in a rude voice I WILL BE THE JUDGE OF THAT WHEN I SEE IT so i expect that i go to wallmart and get paint he would say no i am not going to do that. then he rambled on about how i would be diving and i would get in trouble and it would be traced back to him well... 1 i am not going to dive and 2 if i did dive and he didnt fill it up it had 1000 psi in it i can just say that he filled it up and he didnt so i said to him we are not divers ( not in a mean voice just REG voice) i mean i dont think u can be a diver at the age of 17. so he once again in a YELLING voice GET OUT so basically what i am saying go here but if u see this guy just leave he is a total jerk. i wish he never worked there he makes me hate that place and my friend has a scuba tank he is 32 and he has no scuba card and he gets his air there but i told him bout it he is going to go to diving enterprises.
