Went here looking for a birthday gift for a friend on Friday, the two ladies working were so nice and helpful! It was a relaxing, no pressure environment and they even gift wrapped my items for free! Worth checking out. :)

Love this store! It is a small specialty cooking store. They have really beautiful and unique items relating to cooking, from pans to aprons to books to cooking classes. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Helpful staff, well-stocked with common and uncommon kitchen tools, locally owned. They have cooking classes and demonstrations occasionally as well.

The store is beautiful and really well laid out. The staff and the owner, Amy are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. In addition to the great wares they have in the store, dont forget to sign up for cooking classes with Amy herself! Not many know, but Amy is a top-notch chef whos worked in high end places the world over and fine-tuned her culinary skills. Its basically like cooking with a Michelin starred chef at a fraction of the cost! And she is sweet and funny to boot! Go today!

This store has a lot of great stuff. Its just a shade pricier than say, Walmart, but the goods you get are going to have a different standard. While we were there, the person behind the counter didnt seem very interested in helping us find anything, but they did take our money when we had decided. That might have been a fluke, but it did affect my experience.

This store is great! The staff are so helpful when it comes to helping me get gifts for the chefs in my life. Im not much of a cook, and they always make me feel very welcome and answer all of my silly questions. I love the selection of essential kitchen tools, but also the fun things they have too! Im so glad Salem has a store like this, its nice to talk to a knowledgeable person about some things before you buy.

Awesome little spot jam packed with kitchen delights

I pop in fairly regularly to peruse their wares and they are still kind to me despite the fact that I dont always buy something. Ive purchased most of my cookware here and they really did me a favor when one of the pans I bought developed issues with the coating. The manufacturer didnt seem very interested in working with them on it so they replaced it for me from their own stock. The only gripe I have is that their knife selection is generally centered around wusthof. German knives are just not my thing, but I can see that other knives might move fast enough in this market.

WVKC is a well organized, well stocked, well staffed kitchen store for your professional or home needs. I needed 2 things: a pepper mill and a garlic press. Amy, the owner, showed me the pros and cons and helped me pick out each item. Both are undoubtedly products that will last a lifetime, purchased at reasonable prices with great service!

Came to this place on October 10 looking to buy a knife. I had my son with me he is in the autism spectrum and he had to use the bathroom, I asked if I could use the restroom and one of the employees looked at me and told me they had no public bathrooms like I was some type of bum, they were laughing at me I don’t know what their problem was I’ll never go here and I do not recommend it to anyone they have absolutely no customer sevrvic f@&k this place I’ll just get my stuff from amazon.

What a tremendous find in downtown Salem! I was here on a work trip from Portland, and I had heard about this place so I had to make a stop. Willamette Valley Kitchen Co. is a unique store that offers an amazing array of everything to get your kitchen cooking..........see what I did there, lol!As usual when I go into a store Im unfamiliar with, I never know quite what I looking for. The idea is there in my head........but when I get to the store...........well you know! Luckily the employees here are really well trained and love cooking, so they can easily help figure out what your needs are. Such great service, I really appreciated that!I was really surprised by the amount of products the store offers. Everything youd ever want from high quality cookware, finally getting that nice pressure cooker, to finding that perfect spatula that never lets you down! As an amateur home cook(and I stress amateur!!!) I always tend to make a huge mess, and the employees knew just what I needed. They had these uniquely designed pan and pot covers from a guy in France..........and they look just like fruits and vegetables. So cool looking!!!!I was told they do cooking classes here as well, and the beautiful kitchen in the store is a great spot for it. They have a variety of classes and I highly recommend trying one out. What a great way to learn some new skills and put together some great ideas for the next home party or heaven forbid.............volunteering to host Thanksgivng(guilty)!!!!Overall just a fantastic place to take a class, browse away, pick up that perfect peeler.........or if youre like me, dig deep into a selection of cookbooks and dream of being Masterchef!!!!
