My family and I have been coming here for over a decade and they are always kind and quick! The glasses they sell are expensive but will not pressure you into buying them and encourage going elsewhere if thats what works for you.
Just had a wonderful experience at Salisbury Optical. I am not a current patient, but my glasses were broken and my husband made some calls to see who does repairs. He stopped in today, they offered to take a look, 30 minutes later I was back in business!!! When I am due for my next exam, I will be heading to Salisbury Optical! I started to go to Salisbury Optical when Accurate Optical closed a couple years ago & I have to say that I am very impressed. The staff was very kind when I came in for my appointment, very thorough & they got me in & out quick with no wait. The doctor was very knowledgable & down to Earth. Definitely recommend! They also take most insurances

Worst experience at an eye care center. This place is shady and smacks of insurance scam. I was not given a thorough exam, for eye health, no dilation, given my history of dry eye and excessive drusen . I was charged for a premium contract lenes fitting fee, I have been wearing multifocal contacts for 15years and this is the first time I have not been checked or fitted for new lenses. They commented your prescription is the same well order new ones., never checking them while in my eyes. I definitely will not be returning!!!! I will not trust my eye health with them.
I was able to pick out glasses without an appointment because I already had my prescription. Unfortunately they did not accept my insurance (NVA). However I got a great deal on frames & lenses for 60$! The staff member that helped me out ( I can’t remember her name ) was very kind and considerate. Thank you !
I called on the 5th of the month and was told that my prescription can be faxed to eyeglass company, on the 9th I received an email from the glasses company saying they attempted to contact the office many times and received no response. I called(the salisbury office) on the 10th, the receptionist was upset with me and said it is the companys job to fax them. So I call the glasses company and the company confirms they have faxed and emailed them(salisbury optional) but received no response. On the 12th I call the office again, the receptionist says that she received no email and the fax does not matter even if she has received it?. The company sent them both a fax and an email when I asked to bring a company representative(eyeware/glasses company) on the call to figure out the confusion she immediately said she will fax it to them. On the 12th she calls back to say the fax has gone through. On the 14th I speak to the company and they have received nothing, it has been about TWO WEEKS and THREE failed attempts at getting them to send my prescription. Any where else I would have received my glasses by now. And yet the receptionist is upset with me? Very unprofessional and unorganized.

Knowledgeable and courteous staff that works quickly. I came in to pick up a pair of glasses before going out of town and also on a SUPER time crunch to pick up my son from daycare (aka I was also a little high strung). The staff worked quickly to get me in and out without making me feel like the jerk I was being. I highly recommend this eye center full of kind professionals!
Amazing service. In and out of my 1st appointment there in just over 1 hour and left with new glasses. Very clean, great selection, super nice staff!Update : Went back here a week later but this time for my son and no change. All was still A++++!
I received a refraction eye examination on 7-28, as well as purchasing a replacement lens for my previously purchased frames. I was very happy with the eye examination. The optometrist, Dr Bortnick was outstanding, he spent time to discuss differences between the previous prescription (3 years old) versus the updated. The optician, Robbie was very good selling me almost evert bell-and-whistle lens. His explanations were logical and sound. I observed Robbie with other customers. He seemed taylor his sales with each customer. He is a very good salesman and knowledgeable optician. Robbie promised 7 to 10 day delivery. I returned to the office on the 9th day. I presented the paid receipt to the person who stops you at the door, and was promptly asked if I had received a call. I requested to speak with a manager, April who investigated. The lenses came in earlier on the on the 9th day.. April informed me to wait, and the glasses would be ready in 15 minutes. I returned 45 minutes later, and April spent that little extra time to adjust the frames, (that I didnt purchase from Salisbury Optical).The most important part of this review was the the prescription was perfect. I could see clearly again. I will continue to return to Salisbury optical for my optical needs.
This was my first time at this eye dr, and it was nothing shy of a wonderful experience!! From start to finish the entire staff was great. I was acknowledged as soon as I walked in the door and hardly had a wait time. The staff is very nice and friendly, because of them the office has a warm, welcoming atmosphere!!! I will definitely be returning, and what I really loved the most is the time and patience Tina took to make sure that I was satisfied!!!
They have you in & out in no time. Very helpful staff. Also, received glasses back in a week.
Second appointment love the doctor. Unclear what happened to my lenses. Received a call with reference to a difference of price with the lenses. I requested that they keep the lenses as the old ones were. I would pay the difference. Was upset that it was handled this way since it was all verified with my insurance company prior to anything. I am wearing my old glasses since I cant see out of the new ones. I was told by the doctor there wasnt much change in the strength. Very confused
Salisbury Optical has a great selection of glasses, there are so many choices. A good selection of name brands and styles. Something for everyone. The doctor was very nice as well!
Have been a long time customer of Accurate Optical and had enough of their incompetence! Went to Salisbury Optical and what a difference! The staff are amazing and I will have my glasses in 7 days!!

I have been coming to Salisbury Optical for many years now and the way they take care of their patients is fantastic. Its a very fast convenient service they offer from the minute you get in their throughout the whole process. I will continue to go here for all of my optical needs an I would recommend them to anyone else as well.
Everyone who works at the office is very helpful and friendly. They always help me out to find what Im looking for and answer any questions. They also get you in and out very fast for exams, which is a definite plus.
Very friendly and helpful! Ive used Salisbury Optical since I first got glasses in 4th grade (1994) and stayed with them until leaving Salisbury for grad school in 2008. The doctors are fantastic, friendly, and through. The people are fantastic to work with for both glasses and contacts (9th grade; 1999). I once had a defective contact when I went to change them out (monthlies) and they replaced it for no charge!More recently, I was visiting Salisbury and my contact tore with no extras packed (dumb, I know)! I arrived at 9am on a Monday morning and they were able to get my prescription faxed from North Carolina and had my size/style/strength in stock and I was out in a few minutes. (I think it took about 20 minutes total but about 15 of that was waiting on NC).Thank you so very much for your years of excellent service to the residents of Salisbury with poor vision! My mom and dad also used Salisbury Optical for their glasses (not contact wearers). Im so glad youre still practicing and were so convenient and friendly.
I had my first appt at Salisbury Optical yesterday. They have a patient for life and I’ll be referring my husband there. From the moment you enter the door you were met with friendly staff that seemed eager to help you. Dr Jolley was very thorough and took the time to explain the changes that I was experiencing. So lucky to have a facility like this in this area.

Salisbury Optical has a very good selection of frames with a lot of different name brands and styles. Ive purchased a few pairs from them and Im always happy with my choices.
Everything at Salisbury Optical is great, the check-in process is very fast it takes under 10 minutes every visit for me to get into the exam room, and the doctor is really efficient as well while still taking his time with you and your questions. Highly recommended.

This was my firt time at an eye Dr and my experience so far was great. The Dr put you at ease. The nurses very friendly and the front desk blaxk girl with the beautiful natural hair was a delight. Her conversation was both enjoyable and informative. My copay was not more than $25 but it seems there was a little with my insurance but still the dr did all the test for me and said that i can take carw of the insurace stuff Monday... I would recommend this place to anyone. It was a fantastic first time experience for me....
There are so many good things to say about Salisbury Optical. My family enjoys going there because of the welcoming atmosphere and staff.
Never have to wait long at all. Theyre really efficient and Dr. Bortnick is always ready for me when I arrive.
Going by the reviews you would think this place is GREAT....in reality with in the year of 2016.....This place is horrible, I had to wait for over a month when getting both of my childrens glasses. Then they leave a note in the file lying saying that they called me when they NEVER did. This is so unprofessional, and unorganized and I will NEVER use this place nor recommend it to friends and family. There is a bunch of incompetent employees working in this place. SMH....I do not want to provide ANY star, but beings that I cant post my comment until I select one, consider this a negative one.#pissedoff
Dr. Keneth Bortnick and the entire team are awesome.excelent customer service which is hard to find this days. I will recommend this business to all my family and friends for that I know Salisbury Optical will treat them with respect and peofesionalism.Austanding !

I am not happy with the service. No one knows what the other person is doing. I hate being called and asked to give information that I have already been giving. I gave my insurance information and somehow it was lost when ordering my contacts.
