What a refreshing small comic book shop. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. The only issue is that the place is small and has only a limited amount of comics and toys available.But oh what a selection of items in the limited space available. Everything is coordinated and organized. Its definitely a magical little spot.Reminds me of the Big Bang Theory comic book spot. Im definitely going back with my boys. Very referendums to see a place like this in a world that we live in

Nice spot in downtown. Two-story shop a bit small on the inside but neat and clean and comics stored in excellent drawers and wide variety of TPBs and GNs.

Always a solid selection of newer and older stuff that is very well organized (alphabetically then issue number). Plenty of 1-2$ books. The owner is always friendly and knowledgeable.

This place is great. The guys down the street at Super 7 recommended it and they were so right, it’s one of the best! Not only do they have an awesome comics selection, but they have a fantastic vintage (and some modern) toys upstairs too! You know you’ve walked into a good comic shop when the people working there are having conversations about comics with their customers. Found this place in my hunt for the Batman/Fortnite crossover series, which my kids kept asking me about. Called several shops across San Diego, but Aaron really provided the best customer service and subscription options for issues going forward. Also, many shops in the area where charging 4x over the cover price to buy the issues in store, while Aaron was charging cover prices. I understand the supply and demand concept, so I really appreciate Aarons desire to draw long term customers over the short term profits. Beyond that, his comic shop is very clean and laid out very nicely. Great selection of comic books and collector toys. My kids love this place, and it has become our comic store in San Diego.

Im from the east coast and have only visited this shop twice, but both times I found exactly what I wanted and the owner was professional and personable. Now or Never Comics is now a must visit when I make my annual treks to San Diego. Great selection of comics and very cool space.

This place is amazing. Alot of 90s toys, vintage comics, novels, and games. New comics every Wednesday. The owner Aaron is very nice and is hunter for all things like this. Its his passion. Check this place out!

Not very friendly at all, didnt acknowledge any us (there were 3 of us) or ask to help us. One person was to busy reading their own stuff and the other person was standing figures up in a small cases up stairs and then putting comics away. As soon as another guy came in, way after us of course, they made sure to say Hi and be friendly to him. Customer service goes a long way and there was none during our 20 plus minutes visit. Only towards the very end did the guy finally offer to help. The girl acted very bothered to ring us up. Now or never comics, I guess never again....

Very nice collection. It’s two stories, so there is a very large amount of material. Cashier was very friendly. Also, reasonable prices for the material in the store. 100% recommended for dc, Star Wars, and marvel fans.

It was a nice comics/collectible toy store. I was so surprised to the Millenium Falcon, nice selection of Star Wars, McFarlane DC figures, and Marvel figures as well. Great store and Aaron at the register was nice too.

Now Or Never Comics is THE BEST comic book store in San Diego! No, the best in ALL of SoCal! Aaron truly has the customer service of an angel, an angel that indulges that strange need to collect rare comic-related antiquities. So obviously, the best kind of angel. And the shop itself is literally the cleanest store Ive EVER seen for selling older collectibles. Im pretty sure dust is just too afraid to settle in this store. Or its some sort of incantation hexing any and all dust never to enter the premises. Either way, Now Or Never succeeds in being the Platinum Level of collector shops. Do yourself a favor and go today! A+++++

Going back on Sunday. Didnt know about the place until a couple of weeks ago and definitely coming back. Great finds for 80s and 90s collectors.

This is now my go-to comics shop in San Diego...and in fact its one of the very best on the entire West Coast that Ive been to. Aaron is the most generous, friendly person, his store is flawlessly designed, and hes got back issues galore! Theres an upstairs area that can host signings. He has great selections of toys as well. My kids love going to the shop as well. I cant believe how lucky San Diego is to have such a great store as Now Or Never Comics! I hope its here forever.

Despite the small space this shop occupies, it carries a great collection. I love how they organize their back issues. They have sections for first appearances and things like that. They have a respectable tpb and vintage toy selection. I think they price their books at a reasonable price. Not crazy cheap but youre definitely not overpaying. It also has chairs for the partner that may join you for shopping but lack your enthusiasm for comic crate digging. I got some cool books from their $0.25 boxes.

Didnt know a new shop had opened and stopped by for free comic book day. The staff was very friendly and it is a cool environment. They have some really neat old school collectibles as well. I definitely will be returning.

I was visiting the area for a few days and on a whim walked over to Now or Never Comics. The store owner is an incredibly friendly and welcoming guy. The selection is great and they had some really fantastic finds that I have been looking for for a while. A definite recommend and a place I will be visiting again next time I am in San Diego.

Very nice comic and collectibles shop! When I went he had a great selection of 2$ comics and a lot of nice action figures upstairs. Pretty much every new title was there but my favorite thing was how neat, clean, and organized everything was!

Aaron was a super great person over the phone. I had never heard of this place and Im glad I was able to go in and check it out. Bunch of cool Star Wars stuff too. Old games which I found super cool. Overall. Im definitely gonna have to come back again.

The shop is very well organized! A lot of old issues and new to browse from and collectible figures. Prices are very reasonable. I will come back when Im in town.

Great shop! Im fairly new to comics, and the owner spent about twenty minutes with me, asking all the right questions, and giving me detailed synopses about several series. Highly recommended.

Collection includes all the new stuff, as well as older stuff, underground comix, and the truly odd. Love that it is downtown, should be hoppin during comicon. Worth stopping in to check it out
