I took an antique Walker Turner 1/2 HP bandsaw motor in for repairs. This shop took it in, and essentially completely refurbished it. I am completely satisfied, pleased and grateful to know there are shops with impeccable customer service and integrity.They work on motors of all sizes and voltages, problems and so forth.

I found EMS on Google and thankfully they were within 3 miles of where I was working my saw motor had given up on me and I needed it fixed fast. So I brought it to EMS and Doug and his team understood my situation and took care of it immediately! I am so grateful And impressed with the VIP service I got as a first time customer. Terrible experience, do not recommend.I had a small motor sent in for repair, Doug told me they will charge $100 for diagnostic which I agreed to.It took them at least a month to come up with a diagnostic which was to re-wire the motor for $700. I found the cost exorbitant for a motor that cost new less than $400 so I went to pick up the motor.They gave me the motor in box, totally disassembled in pieces.I found another shop who repaired the motor for $250 within 2 days. However, there were missing parts as when EMS dismantled the motor they didnt put all the parts back in the box.I called them and finally they found some parts which I went to pick up and Michelle told me Doug will send by mail the missing fan clamps which they never did. I called them again but they totally ignored my calls, so thank you for charging me $100 for nothing and losing my motor parts.

The EMS was great and easy to work with and schedule a service call. I had an issue with a power converter providing lower than expected amps. Doug and team were able to diagnose and fix in one visit. Saves me having an expensive power converter replacement.

I have 29 year old Powermatic table saw with a 5 HP Baldor motor that was blowing start capacitors. I called EMS and talked to Doug, who was very friendly and helpful. I brought the motor in the day after Christmas, and was able to pick it up the following Monday good as new! They replaced the bearings, blown capacitors, thermal switch, steam cleaned and re-moisture sealed the windings, and even painted the thing.I was able to get a brand new 29 year old motor for half the price of a new Baldor. And when we picked it up, they took us back and walked us through everything they did to it. As well as bench tested it.I would highly recommend Doug and EMS two any fellow woodworker!

They checked it out, and told him that even though they could rebuild the old one for less money, their advice was to buy a new one, and they helped him research what to buy.Great staff, great honest service.

I am a hobbyist woodworker and had a 5hp Leeson motor that stopped working. I found EMS from Leesons web page of certified service centers. It was the closest to my location so I gave them a call. Martha was professional, courteous, and despite how busy she was, still took the time to patiently answer all my questions. The technicians tested my motor, diagnosed the problem and Martha called me by the end of the same day with a quote to fix it. I was impressed even further when I called back and she had already researched the cost of an exact replacement motor just in-case I wanted to go that route. I chose to fix mine and the entire process and how it was done was fully explained to me. The turn-around time was way less than I expected and the motor looks and runs like brand new! When I picked the motor up, one of the techs stopped what he was doing just to give me some details about it and what I could expect. Martha alone is worth the trip and I feel completely confident in recommending this business.
