Absolutely Fantastic! Best CAKE Ive EVER had! Since developing a chronic illness that prevents me from eating any gluten, Ive had a pretty miserable life. TBH, I was the kind of person who would eat basket after basket of free bread at restaurants and was known to eat an entire baguette by myself...happily. Upon developing an intolerance to gluten, I truly felt like a part of my identity and that which makes life purely joyful was taken away. No more bread, pasta, croissants...ugh. I mean, what more is there to live for? Well, now I know that there is still joy and goodness in the world after eating this cake! For my birthday, my partner ordered me a massive chocolate cake which turned out to be the best cake Ive ever had, gluten-filled or otherwise. I honestly see myself buying a cake like this and keeping it in the freezer so I can have a slice whenever I want for the rest of my life. Its hard to overstate the level of moist, rich, delectable and deliciousness of this cake! Even my partner agreed that this is the best cake hes ever had, so it wasnt just me. If you have a special day coming up, or if you just want to treat yourself for surviving during this dystopian time, I cant recommend this cake enough - its truly a sliver of joy during these dark days.

My doctor put me on the low FODMAPS diet, and I often feel like I cant eat anything. Its difficult to navigate. The sales person here was so knowledgeable about the ingredients of all their goods, and so patient to help me find something I could actually eat! I got a cupcake, and a couple cookies, and for a moment I got to feel like a regular human being that could eat normal food. They were delicious and I couldnt be happier

Just okay...The GF goodies were limited on the day we went. We chose Chocolate Chip cookies ($4.25 each) and Vanilla Sponge Cake ($8+). Based on previous reviews I was expecting the food to be amazing. It was really just...ok. Honestly, the GF cupcakes at Trader Joe’s taste like the same quality as the baked goods from here.

The most excellent little cafe youre ever likely to find. Nestled in historic San Juan Capistrano, Cloud serves lunch, and all things baked from cake to muffins to cookies - and everything is gluten free and organic. Youd never know. But patrons with no wheat or gluten allergy drop in to get the bread in preference over ordinary loaves.I loved the salmon salad sandwich. And the oranges almond cake was bloofy brilliant.

Cloud 9 lost my business. They wouldn’t take my order because I wasn’t wearing a mask. I was OUTSIDE! And there’s a large pexiglass in the doorway. Ironically if I had been sitting in a chair in an outside restaurant (which by the way I wasn’t officially on their property), my order would have been taken by a server. And there’s no thick pexiglass separating a waiter/waitress when they take your order. You would think that because they are organic and into nutrition, common sense would kick in more. I won’t be returning and will share with my many organic friends. The lady was rude.

It’s fantastic that there is a dairy free and gluten free option for sweets and breads. It is a bit on the pricey side but it seems this is kind of necessary with specialty requests like this.Just tried the brownie the first time, which was over $4... which is kind of crazy. It was quite tasty but not sure how often I will be craving something like that we could get elsewhere for much cheaper and within a dairy and gluten free template.I want to support a small business like this but it is definitely a tough call between the price point and easier options even at Costco (of course they are not “baked goods” but they can do the job for much better value).

This bakery is so good!! I’m not usually a big fan of gluten-free food but this place really took me by surprise! I had a delicious pumpkin chocolate chip muffin (super moist & flavorful, not dried out like a lot of muffins can be) and my bf had the salmon & cucumber paleo wrap — perfect for a light breakfast!

Food was good but over priced. Also it may be dairy and gluten free, but if you have ibs, dont dont it. Not sure if it was the sugar from the muffin or something in the bread or spices on the sandwich, but my gut was not happy. Also same experience with customer service I waited prob five minutes for someone to come out and five at least for my sandwich, a cold tuna, to be made. There were at least two girls in the back and the owner.

I love coming here by myself and also with my kids. Neither of my children requires gluten-free and the amazing part about all of their goodies here is that my kids don’t know the difference. Seems like a family owned place and the mother daughter team are so kind and delightful every time we visit. We don’t mind paying for quality and the prices reflect this. Worth every penny and if you have ever tried baking gluten-free bread or treats, you will appreciate the time and care it takes to make these items and I’m just glad I don’t have to bake them myself!

Amazingly high quality ingredients—NOBODY else is making organic baked goods (except maybe bread at Whole Foods). You get what you pay for, and in this case it’s a pesticide and chemical-free treat that you can feel great about. The sandwiches are yummy, too!!

Went in for an afternoon snack, and was met with a lovely treat on all fronts! Lovely interior - feels open, sunny, fresh. Great assortment of treats; we opted for the cinnamon banana muffin and chocolate chip muffins. My goodness. Gluten free nor any other variation has ever been so good. Amazing flavor offered in both, fluffy, moist, just the right density...Im gushing because it was that good. Really. I have been baking gluten free for several years now, and only rarely do I really make something even close to this fabulous. Highly, highly recommend! Cant wait to go back for lunch. Saw businessmen, students, families...all in love with the place.

I had a very strange experience at Cloud 9. First the good : my sandwich was VERY GOOD and the bread was possibly the best gluten free bread I have ever had. The pumpkin muffin was also outstanding. The bad: the store was empty when my sister and I walked in and it took quite a while before an employee came out to take our orders. He was so emotionless/unfriendly that it was actually kind of uncomfortable. My sister and I placed our orders for a sandwich and a panini and two muffins. My sisters sandwich came out within a few minutes, but she was done with both her sandwich and her muffin before mine came out of the kitchen. There were no other customers so I cant even begin to imagine what would have taken so long. It was strange. I was prepared to pay a higher price for my sandwich considering it is a dedicated gluten free business and all gluten free food places charge a premium, and the sandwich was good, but it didnt come with anything on it besides the meat and mayo. No lettuce, tomato, or cheese. Seemed a little bit too high priced for such a basic sandwich.

Very disappointing experience. My mom is visiting and we already got her gluten free muffins from Zebra House which are amazing but she wanted to see about a bakery that had other gluten free items for her. We were incredibly underwhelmed upon walking in. We expected to see all sorts of goodies on the counter and instead saw NOTHING! We were very confused then this girl came out and proceeded to inform us they only had their “frozen” items for sale, were understaffed and have closed for a month previously due to slow business. We asked what they had and she pointed to a piece of paper with the names of items. When you go to a bakery you want to see the items and make your decision from there. We left with a cookie, 2 muffins and a cupcake for like $20. The cookie alone was $4 which is way overpriced and it was only ok. They could have at least had a few items out on display. We actually almost left after walking in because we thought the bakery had closed, then the girl came out. While we were there 2 other people walked in and left without purchasing any frozen items, they were as confused as us by the “frozen” items. I definitely have no plans to return.

Waaaaay overpriced and the customer service I experienced was subpar.Waited while the person behind the counter helped someone on the phone. $26.00 for eggs and avocado toast. As soon as my order was placed at 11:00 am, a person who had been at a table with her head down got up and went behind the counter. Not sure why she couldn’t have helped me. At a quarter after I asked if it would be much longer as I had an appt. no answer. Now 11:20 still no food. I don’t think I will be back.Again $26.00 for microwaved eggs served in a cardboard container

Do not make the mistake of comparing prices of items served at this dedicated gluten-free bakery with other bakeries. That is not a fair comparison because this is not a regular bakery! The prices are reasonable when you consider the cost of the ingredients used to create items that are made especially for people with Celiac disease and/or food intolerances. The food is delicious and the service is great. My favorite item is the egg salad sandwich. The bread is light and airy, yet thick enough to hold the sandwich together, which is a difficult combination to find in gluten-free bread. They often run out of the egg salad sandwich by the end of the day, so go early if you want to try it. If they cant accomodate your request, please be understanding as this is a small mom and pop place.

Highly recommended by a friend who goes in often. The brownies are to live for!! The best Ive ever tasted ! And I am hooked on the chicken and pesto sandwich on sunflower bread--have to have at least once a week! These are not fast-food prices, but then this is not fast-food. Baked goods are home-made, and I like suppprting local businesses who are a cut-above the mediocre junk so readily available. Nice, quiet atmosphere inside and pleasant music from Sirius radio. Im on my way over for lunch right now!

You refused to sell me toast. I offered to pay full price for a sandwich with the filling removed. You replied no. I offered to buy an entire loaf of (frozen, expensive) bread and asked please, just warm up one slice. Again, you replied no. I asked your employee to please, speak with you personally, explaining I was a long time customer, from the time you opened your doors, personally encouraging your business to others including food service for our schools lunch program, had placed orders with you just hours earlier including a Thanksgiving pie order, directed others that very same day to order lunches from you...you refused to come to the counter and stayed in the back instead. I am sorry your employee had to be the middle man and pass along your repeated refusals with no reasons besides we dont do that. I am sorry I will never give you my business ever again, including my pre-paid pies (please offer them to a family in need). I am sorry for whatever must be going on in your life that you would treat a customer like this. May God heal your heart.
