The staff was knowledgeable and led me in the right direction. She also made sure that I knew the consistency of another item I was purchasing had a bit more texture to it than some of the more regular products. I had tried it before so I knew, but I really appreciated her telling me because she was trying to make sure I would be a satisfied customer and not dislike my purchase. They only reason I didnt do 5 stars is because its so expensive, but Im pretty sure thats just the way it is. Also I was hoping to find some good little protein snacks Id gotten somewhere else, other than all the health bars.

I have been a long-time customer of GNC and I really enjoy going to my neighborhood store. Amazing deals, the variety and the quality of the products, the knowledge, the care, and the sunshiny smile of the owner Julie - that’s what attracts me there. Julie has a pharmaceutical background and can make the right suggestions for any specific situation. I always trust her for my supplement/workout needs. Once I’m in the store, Julie and her awesome assistants Steven and Alex always tell me about current sales and discounts. They treat all her customers like their family. Im glad theres a GNC nearby, even though its in the questionable part of town. This GNC is located next to a dollar store, which isnt necessarily a bad thing. Its just sometimes, people who talk to themselves (and yell at passerby) are hanging right outside this GNC. Ive never had a problem with those people so its not too much of a big deal. However, I do get a little anxious if I had to go here, so I rarely go.The staff is okay, sometimes theyre helpful. Sometimes they dont care if youve walked around the entire store 5 times looking for something. They have protein chips, protein cookies, and my favorite protein bars. The price is about the same as other stores. The store is pretty quiet. Its rare that there would be more than 3 customers at one time.I like Nutrition Zone on Pico in San Clemente the best. They have my favorite protein powder and the staff there is always approachable and helpful. Staff is always upbeat and in a good mood, they also have good and helpful recommendations on sport nutrition. They also give out samples of protein powder and other products. Theres also a GNC on Pico, next to Chipotle and Panda Express.
