If you like hats this is a must visit when youre in San Juan. Staff was extremely friendly and they helped me find the right hat and fit. These hats arent cheap but you get to customize the band, knot or bow and they have feathers you can add. The shop is tiny so be patient on busy days but I highly recommend stopping in. And theres a great place for frozen drinks right next door!

I was there in San Juan Puerto rico just 2 days ago December 15, 2019. I was waiting for my 4:40 pm flight back to Minneapolis Minnesota. You must visit with Christinne in Old San Juan! The experience of custom making a hat was so much fun, and Christinne sells a ton of her own art in the store at a very reasonable price. I wanted to buy it all! There are also hundreds of pairs of colorful espadrilles in the back room for sale for only $15. When youre done, go to the restaurant next door for an amazing lunch!

This little local hat shop is a must if u want a Panama hat. Not the China made hats in the gift shops. The señorita helped me pick out the hat, then she put on the ribbon of my choosing and even showed me how to put a paper towel in the hat to help with sweat. This place was everything I read about. Im 22 and I dont know much about hats but the staff made me feel comfortable and they were very helpful. I was able to find exactly what I wanted. They even helped me get a hat for a friend back home by judging his head size from a picture and even giving him an adjuster just in case it didnt fit right. They offered to have it sent back if he wasnt pleased. Customer service was through the roof!! With no other customers in the store, my custom hat took about 30 minutes to to be ready for me to walk out the door with it on. Highly recommend. October 2016

Fantastic experience with this establishment. The ladies who were there when my wife and I visited were very personable and knowledgeable. I was looking for something different in a hat..They took time to listen to me and were patient while we looked at several different options. Once we found the style and color we chose a band to match. She took her time to make the band fit properly. Once the band was fitted she fitted the hat to my head! I am very pleased with the hat! I highly recommend this store!

I went to Ecuador to see the where they manufacture the Panama hats and how to select the best quality. They have a great quality hats. People in the store take care of you and provide all the information. I do not buy Panama hast in any other store.

One of the best retail experiences of my life. The woman working there wasnt happy with how the shape of the hat brim came out and made a new one from scratch. Didnt try to transfer the hat band shed just finished making to the new one, but cut and attached a new one. Really incredible attention to detail, quality, and doing things the right way.

A nice shop with decent options for their size of space. They carry a good variety of Panama hats. Great designs and a few more accessories and footwears. Has a typical Old San Juan vibe to it. The materials used are good and they also carry some souvenirs which you might like to take back.

Picked up a custom $80 Panama Fedora. The whole process was to watch was great, especially with the custom ribbon and custom leather tag for the hat. Dont pass up the opportunity to pick up a hat while youre in PR, and make this the place you go to pick it out!

Wonderful hat shop, owned by a very gracious and helpful family who has been selling hats for 40+years. Totally worth a visit to learn about hats even if you dont buy one. (I bought one...) Note for those, such as myself, with a generously sized dome. They not only had sizes to fit my melon, they said they even have ones 2-3 sizes bigger....

Badass amazing place with history. Im a young guy on a cruise ship so loved that as soon i walked inside the store thr guy was helping me with selection and giving me right size fo my dome. I originally said i was not gonna buy a hat walked away went to another store and saw they hat hats but the people must have seen me as a young guy because they didnt help me at all. So i decided to walk back to this store and told the guy im ready for a fedora and he told me which one he thinks i would like and bought it on the spot. Thank you very much for the help. Small shop that sells antiquities but above all real panama hats.The staff is very kind and prepared, they recommend the type of hat that best suits the face. Once chosen, it is carefully personalized by hand with a ribbon to choose from among many available. There is a lot of variety in terms of price, sizes and types. The minimum price I saw was $ 65 and the most expensive $ 500. They dont sell the usual Made in China products that are found almost everywhere, here we recognize the quality. Among other things, the owner speaks perfect Italian.
