Their reputation for cheap is well known, but cheap doesnt mean low quality! Harbor Freight has really good useful stuff, most of it priced far below other places. I usually find something I didnt even realize I needed on every visit!

Went in there today to get a couple of things. The place was busy. But not that busy. No one was welcoming or helpful at all. We found what we were looking for. And had a coupon to use. We didn’t understand the coupon apparently. Because it said 30% off. But I’m fine print it says 30% off of up to $10. And 30%off up to $20. So we bought a $60 item and a couple cheap items. They took the 30% off the cheapest item we had which was $3.99. I questioned the cashier about that. So he called over the manager. She instantly was so rude! And said nope. It’s only for a $10 item or a $20 item. So then we asked if they could use the coupon for 30% off of the other item which was $13.99. The guy laughed rang us up. The manager got too busy to help further. And so with our coupon they saved us a whole 0.90!They were rude! And made my husband angry. This was the first time in this local store as were new here from another area. And I can promise you this was the last time I will EVER do business there again. Ever.

Love This place! Love my free gift and my 20% off coupons. I can spend hours in this store. I love that they have mini size to I need. I got my little mighty mite table saw and my mini vise and mini grinder/buffer there and they are perfect size and work awesome. None of them are bigger than a toaster. Perfect for what I need them for to do do my crafts, woodwork, lapidary, or repairs around the house. Im a member so I get special deals which has already payed for its self. My only complaint would be to have the staff ask if you need some help a little more often. I stood in the isle trying to figure out prices cause things were in the wrong spot but other than that no complaints. Oh and they back their tools up so thats always good to keep in mind.

Im a loyal regular, like many folks Im sure.

They never carry what you need and employees can be pretty insulting at times.

Everything is cheap. I use this store like I hope most people do, a place to buy a one time use item or tool. I wouldnt trust the sockets in an impact gun, the screw drivers dont like Phillips screws, the wrenches arent good steel and not true sizes. If you want a good power tool go to a real store, next best is Ace or Lowes, I do slump and buy home Depot tools once in a while.

Your typical harbor freight tools chain store. Staff is hit and miss as far as knowledge goes, but most are friendly. This one is decent sized. They keep it pretty clean and organized so easy to find what youre looking for. Their parking lot sales are typically pretty often and have some good deals.

Came in for the first time and even told the register it was my first time. I felt like my money wasnt wanted here. I saw a 3 ton car jack on sale for 129 but when I went to pay for it the price was 189. I think the register person didnt know what they were doing.Since she fumbled around a bit. I told her the price was clearly advertised as 129. She then said something about having to be a member to get that discount but she didnt say this until after several minutes of fumbling around trying to figure things out . For it being my first time here, I think it might be my last time. If they had just made the right impression they could of hooked me for life. Ill be sure to go to True Value next time where the customer service is much better.

Is a great place if you need some low-cost tools to do some simple jobs. However it isnt for those that need high-quality long-lasting tools. Sometimes you can find a good brand for a low price but its not often. Most of the time its just brands youve never heard of that wont be as durable.

You get what you pay for here...know what you can get away with getting here and know what you should go elsewhere for. Any quality powertools need to be bought elsewhere! Their coupons are great though

The Staff here are always friendly and willing to help you around the store if you are looking for something particular. The Sale prices and selection are competitive with other retailer hardware stores. I always enjoy using the coupons they mail out. This is the place you can find that something you never knew you were looking for.

Went in to buy a some tools, mildly busy lines were 3 deep. Staff saw me searching for items, but no one asked if I need help which is fine. I like looking at tools even if I dont buy them. Found all the items I wanted, and waited in line. 2 different customers at the cash register kept leaving to get more stuff. Not just in one line but in the 2 lines that were open. One guy went to his car twice. That cashier just starred blankly ...avoiding my direction. The other line, the cashier actually went with the customer to get new items. They would come back with an item then ...go back and return with more ...then ...go back out....agggg. After watching this for 10 min... I left. You may get a bargain priced bargain tool here... but this will be my last resort when I go shopping. If its anywhere near being crowded, Ill turn around.

Dont go here if you are in a rush. Every clerk is very personable and wants to have a brief conversation with you, which is great if you are not in a hurry. But for a place that is usually pretty empty, I sure feel like I have waited in line quite a bit. Again, nice, well meaning, slow moving people.

I bought a bunch of heavy items like an engine hoist, engine stand, 2 ton floor jack and some other miscellaneous items Rusty helped out pulling the order and a younger gentleman I dont know his name loaded the items into my car now lets just hope the quality of the tools can match their level of customer service I recommend everyone try them out!

Having a Harbor Freight near you is having tool temptation all the time.I always remember take my 20% off coupon and my free item coupon when I buy a tool. Unless youre going to make a living with the tools there stuff is just fine. Not the best but usually good enough.On generators and Machinery the move buying a warranty is not a bad idea if you use the equipment very much.Great Deals On Tools compared to any other place I know of.Lots of free parking.

Electrical tools sucked, bought a oscillator tool didnt last one day of light duty. Bought a drill and hammer lasted two days of light duty. Sadly I learned the hard lesson you pay for what you pay for, buying cheap gets you cheap tools.

A few folks suggested that Harbor Freight might be just the place to find no-skid kitchen mats. No dice, but thats NOT why the review is negative. Walked in with a good friend and the salespeople (all men) didnt give us the time of day, not even a hello. We had to ask a couple of times where to find the mats the store does carry; no one bothered to walk us over (and no, it wasnt crowded). An attitude of not giving a c--p. Ageism clearly at work: if my beautiful 19-year-old daughter had walked in, betcha those guys wouldve bent over backwards to help. Never ever returning.

The #1 reason to like Harbor Freight Tools is the price of the tools. Keeping in mind that they may not sell the highest quality, I have found many of their products meet my needs at a much lower price than most other suppliers.
