I restarted to play piano during pandemic, and its time to upgrade after playing for 8 months. I did lots of research, and watched all the review videos on YouTube. Nothing can compare to touch and feel the real keyboard. Its a great place to visit. Bozkurt is very professional, and willing to share. Great service, great price. I was looking for a Yamaha, Kawai and Schimmel Pianos for sale in the Bay Area. I found this store on google. I purchased a Kawai Grand Piano They gave me a very good deal and service. The owner of the store is very professional and perhaps much more objective or knowledgeable than most of the piano stores in the Bay Area. I really enjoy my experience with this organization. I happened to have a co worker at google who also purchased a piano from San Mateo Piano and she also had a similar good experience when she purchased her digital piano from this store.

Bozkurt switched a customers Brand NEW piano for a used Floor Model piano and told me DELIVER IT TO THE COSTUMER AND DONT SAY ANYTHING... While I was working there as a Delivery Driver I noticed his tricks to get over on customers a save money. When ever you buy a piano MAKE A REQUEST FOR THE NEW PIANO SERIAL NUMBER. Dont get Ripped Off.

Great business, owner is a wonderful guy. Friendly, amazing service and great selection of Kawai pianos. Took the time and patience showing us pianos. Safe practices during this time, you can be assured of proper cleaning and practice while you visit the store by appointment. I have been playing piano for about 5-6 years now and had always used a Yahama Electric Piano that I bought off my teacher. Finally I decided that it was time that I invested in a proper piano to allow me to reach my potential. My teacher had suggested that I go to San Mateo Piano and talk to Bozkurt Erkmen.I went there with the intention of purchasing an upright piano but after talking to Bozkurt and him offering me a price I could not refuse (even cheaper than the manufacturer website) I ended up walking away with the most amazing baby grand piano. It was Bozkurts knowledge and ability to educate me on different pianos (while never pushing me in one direction or another) and his ability to offer a pricing that fit under my budget that made me feel very confident in my purchase.I have had my piano for a few weeks now and am 100% satisfied with my investment and confident I made the right choice by getting the baby grand. The customer service at San Mateo Piano is so good that Bozkurt even came to my house a week after delivery (he was in the area) to ensure the piano was in perfect condition. I went to San Mateo to rent a baby-grand piano because Im taking lessons at the San Francisco Conservatory. After looking into the rental options I decided to perhaps purchase a baby-grand at San Mateo Piano. They are the authorized Kawai Piano Dealer in the Bay Area. Because I am student this was a difficult decision for me. The owner of the store accommodate me in the mean time and let me use one of the rooms at the store for practice.I will recommend this store to anybody who is interested in buying, renting or wanted to take piano lessons.
