Parking was a real pain. I drove around and around the whole area for 20 minutes, before someone finally pulled out of a spot. Google maps took me to the back, but the back is locked, even though some shops have back doors. The entrance is in front. It was worth the hassle, though. The shop is big, beautiful, and full of fun stuff. I had a great time wandering around, and left with more than $50 worth of candy π There is a parking garage a couple of blocks away, but I didnt want to pay for parking if I was just going to stop in a candy store for 20 minutes. There are shops and restaurants up and down that street, though. The point of my trip was to find some Violet Crumble, which they had on their Facebook page, and which Ive heard a lot of good things about online, but they were out of it. The pandemic has shipping lines backed up, and I think Violet Crumble comes from the UK. Thankfully they had tons of other things that I was interested in, so the trip across Santa Clarita was worth it.
I love this place! Big variety of micro brewed sodas and Japanese candies!
Owner is friendly! Great novelty products. Fun place to look around (and revisit your childhood)!
The Girl working the counter was a grump. Trying to feel like a kid in a candy store. She had no clue what she was doing. Im looking for that willy Wonka experience. Step up your game here ..Make folks feel welcome. Dont just sit behind the counter like a lop.
The shop was great every time you think you are ready to check out something new appears and the guy working here was supper nice.
I love the new location in downtown Newhall. The retro atmosphere matches the surroundings.
It closes at 6 pm today but me and my dad went but the door was closed. Why even say you close at 6 pm but you actually close at 5:50 pm instead
Good customer service, great stuff, my kids love this place
They have funny signs on the walls about love, women, and coffee. The sign that was my favorite was drink coffee do stupid things with more energy faster! Newhall itself is so beautiful just to go for a stroll. Cashier is very friendly and they even have quiddich candies and sushi candy packages as well as Marilyn Monroe bottles.
Just went there today and the clerk was super helpful and really friendly. He had great knowledge about all of the sodas so if you are unsure about what to pick Iβd recommend asking for a recommendation. We will definitely be coming back.
I love this place! They have super exotic candy and soda that you cant see in a ordinary store! Workers were so nice! I love the jones soda! It has one of the best sodas ever!
A real nice and warm owner and atmosphere, I went there today with my little girl in a date, were looking for a candy store in Santa Clarita, it has a nice variety of candy and drinks. A fun place for kids and adults.
I absolutely love this place!!! the owner is incredible and really nice to talk to, gave me really good advice on the best taffy and is delightfully still open. I have been coming here for ages and will never stop coming back, its low price and the guy is really down to earth and funny. Its always a privilege to come down to rocket fizz
I used to love coming here before a movie to get some exclusive candy and be challenged to eat a scorpion and wash it down with some weird soda but now they moved from town center. This is too far out of the way now. It was more convenient located at the mall
Great service, very welcoming and great variety of candies and drinks! I would totally go back!!
A wonderful and exciting place for young and old.
I love this place i went last week and the guy there is supper nice and funny they have so many cool things there
Love this place, my boys love the candy variety obviously. Iβm all in it for the creme sodas they carry. Friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere.
Good and interesting selections. Both retro and new flavors of sugary treats available. Would like to see more ethnic variety. Nice place to window shop for candy. Cheaper than theater candy but pricier than other places.
Nice selection of candy and soda. Brought back a lot of childhood memories walking around the store. They even had a soda I havent had since I was a teenager.
What cute and amazing place. kids love their sweets here and everything. Selections of products was great and affordable. Friendly staff and good service.
Rocket fizz is a nice small candy and soda store with a antique feel. They have a huge variety of candy ranging from a huge selection of taffy to cotton candy to pop rocks and several international candies as well. The soda selection has several rare and interesting sodas along with the classics. There are also a few toys. The store is not very large but there is a huge selection for the size.
A pretty fun little shop! Of course some of the candy is a little pricier than a name brand store but thats what you expect when a business is surviving just off of selling candy. Excellent selection and a very friendly guy working at the counter. Tons of retro candies I havent seen in years here too along with the big brands plus the novelty stuff (1 foot sized gummy worm, ect). Really like this place. Highly recommend stopping by!
This candy store is awesome! I love how well decorated it is, and it feels like a classic candy shop. They have a great selection of candies, treats, and sodas. Its a nice stop before hitting the movie theater across the street as well.
Such a great store with a wonderful owner. Their selection of drinks is vast and tasty!
Small franchised store with a whimsical feel to it. I mostly come here for the wide selection of soda but the candy collection is pretty varied as well. The staff are welcoming and helpful as well.
Very nice atmosphere. A little pricey (depends on what you want). Other than that its a really fun shop.
Neat looking candy store with rare to find candy selection, just dont touch anything you dont intend to buy. My little one made the mistake of touching a mask on display. I was quickly reminded by someone behind the counter to read the posted dont touch sign. Not my place to shop.
Didnt blink, so much to see. Big smile as I reminisced treats of my childhood, and discovered items new to me and my grandson. I could spend a cool hour here just looking through everything. It was all giggles and smiles until check out. A middle aged male didnt bother to pause his personal call on his cell to say hello, seemed displeased that we were disrupting his call. I thought perhaps it was bad news because I noticed him on his phone when we walked in being the only customers in the store at the time. Based on his stoic face, I decided to give the poor guy a break, until he stated laughing like a school girl then returned to his previous flat face conversation. I wish I spoke his native tongue so I could interrupt his conversation to say, HELLO IM HAPPY YOURE NOT HAVING A BAD DAY. He continued to ignor us as he rang up items, only made eye contact to accept payment which was via debit card then he directed me by pointing out a chip reader. No bag offered for the multiple lil items purchased, no goodbye, ZIP and my first and last visit was over. Too bad as I would have happily made this a reward center for my grandson. Hope you all have better luck with customer service then we had. Gave 4 stars because of the store concept would have given 5 stars for even bland customer service.
The guy who works there is always welcoming and helpful, the definition of good service. Awesome store. Great selections.
I love this place me and my brother always go
This is a every kids fantasy. It is filled head to toe with candy from way back when to now. Parents watch out if you dont want your kids filled with sugar cracked. Haha. But kids its a place for you to see and visit.
Fun selection of carbonated beverages and confections!
I went to get some special soda and enjoyed small candy. One thing I didnt like about this place was that they had very disturbing masks displayed here and there. My kids were scared and I didnt enjoy looking at those. But overall it was fun place.
For sure the greatest smile is a perfect match with the happiest place to be.
Great selection of candies that I havent had since I was little
Such an awesome place π so many yummies
As i was walking to my car parked in the security gaurded parking structure to leave this nastalgic candy shop drew me in with the fizz zaps abba zabba candy necklaces and a large selection of root beers, if one is a root beer connoisseur it is the man behind the counter. He was helpful and knowledgeble on all the root beers. I had so much fun learning and conversing with this gentleman. He knew his products and where they could be found and when the next shipment would be in without ever leaving his post behind the counter. He has ice cold sodas and candy and novelty items cream sodas although not as vast of selection as the rootbeer still if you stop in and i highly reccomend that you do i am sure there is something from days past that will trigger a fond memory and or start up conversation with the man behind the counter. Good time.
I like this place because I discovered Frostys soda here.
Good candy thats hard to come by! Not cheap though.
Cool candy store! They carry hard to find candy!
Great place to find those candies you use to eat when you were a child...
Wow this is a nice place to visit full of nostalgic stuff
Place is awesome for soda as their is usually some that are strange but good and others that are bad. Tip stay clear of rocket fuel and bacon and maple syrup as they taste horrible
Great service and great selection on candy and sodas!
Owner was the nicest most fun loving guy!! Thanks!!
Lots of classic candy and weird and unusual sweets.
Large variety and select is top notch
Nice place with some hard to find goodies but I feel its too overpriced for common candies.
Wide selection of bottled soda as a root beer fanatic I spent a while trying to decide which to try ππ
LOVE this candy store!!
Great place to visit
Very overpriced for very little.
Love this store
