I recently bought a place in Santa Monica and stumbled across Marco Polo Imports as I was out walking. I loved so much of what I saw on their showroom floor and immediately bought enough pieces to almost furnish my new home. Certain pieces had to be custom-made, so, all in all, Ive been dealing with Janell and Aaron for several months. I was delighted with my shopping experience, finding Aaron and Janell extremely agreeable, professional, and keen to ensure I was happy. After having shopped around a lot, I think the value here is solid for pieces of furniture that do not have that mass-produced feel - but are something a little more special and unique for the home. I highly, highly recommend!

Worst experience ever! In 2018 Ive ordered a custom sectional, now we are still fighting in court. No furniture, no money.Stay away! Dishonest and unprofessional.Answer to the Aarons response attached.

Much better than expected!We wanted a locally made sectional and decided between here and the Joneses.We were leaning towards the Joneses. The reviews here were worrying compared to the Joneses, and there was a negligible difference in prices. Addtionally, they both share style on some of their pieces and are both manufactured here in Los Angles. Both had saleswomen who greeted my girlfriend and sister without me having to prompt them to do so, unlike other salesmen across other stores. Sadly, Marco Polo had a quoted 2 weeks longer lead time, so we were leaning towards the Joneses until the very end.However, we decided to go with Marco Polo, because they had a unique looking piece that looks like it was designed for a Santa Monica audience and their selection in fabrics appeared superior. After getting the piece in our home, were super happy we prioritized these two points.Payment was easy, fair, and transparent. They also communicated all of our desires to the manufacture and doubled checked each of our decisions. Their communications is certainly better than industry standard.Unfortunately, COVID introduced labor and supply constraints, and the sectional came a bit late. That said, there are industry wide delays and Marco Polos delays appear to be lower than even some big box, non-custom makers. For example, a friend ordered from Article around the time that we ordered ours, and theyre still waiting for something basically off the shelf! They get 5 stars for the time, because they delivered faster than competitors and did so on a piece with hard to acquire materials and a labor intensive frame. When the supply chain cools, I imagine theyll remain better than industry standard on lead times.There was a bit of frustration with having to call to get updates, but again, this is still much much better than industry standard. The only fix in my opinion would be to hire more associates for what may be a temporary increase in communication demand. Id rather deal with a slight bit of frustration and have to give them a call myself than having to pay more for them to hire more staff.The sectional arrived yesterday and is perfect! Looks exactly like how we designed it and came in the exact specs. Delivery company that they partner with were professional, fast, and well priced.Definitely recommend them for custom piceses and will be sure to continue shopping with them in the future. :)

I always feel like I am “cheating” when I shop at Marco Polo… No matter what I buy there, the merchandise I purchase makesme look like I have phenomenal taste! My ambience is appreciatively enhanced anytime I purchase anything from an accessory to larger piece of furniture at Marco Polo! They have transformed both my office and into highly aesthetic environments!The owner, Aaron is super sweet. The furniture is definitely commiserate price-wise with the quality! There isn’t anything that you would bring home from Marco Polo that would not increase your love of your home/office!
