Convenience store is a better description, yet has a wide selection of liquor, beer, seltzer, etc.

THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. I have frequented this store many times over the years. Its a convenient location as I pass by SM. Its fascinating how you can get the same items yet get charged differently. Ive called them out several times for overcharging and got money refunded. These people will rip you off any chance they get. They did it again today and I confronted them once again! Pretty sure theyll remember me now!

I was overcharged from $2.60 + $4, plus $9.68 + an additional $10. I cant find you on the better business bureau website to file my report. Im from California, Carlsbad to be exact this will not stand especially to be hung up on when I called back in..... Civil court this will stand cause I have the bank statements, not to mention am item was out dated

Absolutely love the selection Star Liquor Has to offer. The location is perfect and Ramon is the best owner in town. They now offer delivery with Door Dash and Drizly which is amazing because I can now order from my phone!!

Great prices and a fine selection of healthy groceries unusual for a convenience store. In fact, this was a big step up from the typical liquor store. It is worth finding especially if you dont want to pay higher prices closer to the beach!

This place used to be my favorite liquor store in town, good prices, great beer and win selection, friendly and helpful staff. That was until, they hired a nut case to work as a security and janitor. This man has harassed my friends and I in more than one occasion. He is usually drunk coming in and out of the store yelling profanities, and racial slurs. But when confronting the owner of the store Ramon about his employees bad behavior, he tried to say this guy doesnt work at the store. The guy is always cleaning the store or playing security, but he doesnt work there? Cmon give me a break!Avoid the store unless you want to be harassed by a drunk and mentally unstable man!

Yesterday my suspicion was confirmed. Im not one to complain about minor problems or even high prices after all you are to expect this when you come to the Westside of town. With this in mind, I felt like Star Liquor was one of the best store in Santa Monica. Its quite close to the beach with a great selection of beer and wine with the extravagant prices. This had become my goto place for drinks before hitting the beach. Things started to get weird when a strange guy whom I assume works for the place started walking behind me every time I would show up. At first I didnt think anything of it. I thought maybe Im just imagining it even though he makes me feel uncomfortable and Ive caught him making inappropriate comment. I would just ignore him and go on with my purchase. One time I brought it up to the owner of the store but nothing really changed since then Ive been uneasy every time I come in. But today I confirmed that this guy likes to harass women. When another woman kept on screaming to the top of her lungs PLEASE STOP FOLLOWING ME, I DONT APPRECIATE YOUR COMMENTS And thats just how I had been feeling every time stop by. Im sorry but you guys have lost my business!!

My suggestion, GO HERE FIRST! This is the ONLY liqour store in ALL of Santa Monica that my wife and I will spend our money at. Respectful and friendly service. Wonderful selection & the prices are the lowest i found for this area.

Went to pick up some snacks for our hotel when a fight broke outside. Man was using foul language and racial slurs, in particular the N word to a man who wasnt even trying to instigate any violence. What bothered me the most is that my two youngest daughters 5 and 9 had to be there to hear and see this unacceptable behavior take place. And from the looks of it he worked there, because he kept saying this is my place and no dirty n** aint gonna tell me s**.Will not shop here again if this is the kind of family service this establishment advocates

I love this liquor store this is my stop too get me a beer after a long day of work !!

Cheaper than other stores within walking distance, but the beer isnt cold.

This place ROCKS. Clean, fast, friendly, great selection, right off beach & they are carrying UNIQUE. Finally an ebergy drink thats healthy, taste great and mixes in almost any booze.
