Employees were helpful, gave good advice, and were honest when they couldnt fix something. I appreciate it and will be back with future hardware needs.I dont love the parking lot here, but it is what it is.

Have you ever had surprising customer service? I was sent here from Ace hardware, the young lady there was not enthusiastic about her job at all. It be like that sometimes. But at True Value the woman behind the counter had so much energy it legit made me think she was being a smart ass at first. But so did the other coworkers. They were polite, attentive, but more than anything they are full of life. I definitely recommend this location. I havent been to the other ones but this one has great customer service, especially when you compare it to the dullness of others. Its not like their customer service is bad, its just not note worthy. So this by comparison stands out to me.

I dont usually right reviews if I dont like the service I normally just dont go back. but in this case I feel I need to. the other day our toilet formed a leak at the wax gasket . so I went down the street to Freds true value to purchase a gasket I try to shop local I grew up in the neighborhood and I try to stay loyal to our community. with that said as I was looking on the plumbing isle for the gasket I noticed a new product to me it was a foam gasket that stated that it was less messy than the wax gasket and also that if it didnt work the first time you could try again. with the wax one if you dont get it right the first time you may have to buy another one. so I purchased it from the young lady behind the counter went home followed the directions to the T cleaned the bottom of the toilet. installed it leaked big time ! took it apart tried again same result. went back to the store before they closed and asked the young lady for a refund and that I wanted to buy a wax one. she told me they give refunds on pluming parts. I told her that I was a long time customer and could I talk to Fred she told me he wasnt in and she could take my phone number and call me the next day. the next day no call so at closing time I return to the store no young lady no Fred . but there was a little older female employee who has waited on me in the past and always been helpful and nice . she told me there was nothing she could do but would have the young lady call me the next day. no call I return at closing time no young lady no Fred but the older lady is there and she informs me that Fred said no REFUND ! well its not so much the $17 as it is the way this was handled no phone call not once but twice and if Fred was half as loyal as his neighborhood customers are he would of called me himself. the other thing there is no sign on the plumbing isle that states there are no returns on plumbing parts. Fred may have my $17 and my foam ring but what he does not have is this loyal customer any longer and hopefully you will think twice about shopping there . also the wax ring worked great !

Been going to True Value many years. And get very good service and family owned and they have great employees who work for them. If you can not find something their right there to help you out. Stop by and give them a try.

This was my neighborhood hardware go to store for the years I owned a home not far from it. It stayed my go to place when I lived not too far away after that and I still go here more than most places save OSH for many things. It is a great place to rent tools and other equipment. The owner and staff are knowledgeable and very friendly always getting me what I need if I need help.

Fred, Kelly and the gang are like family. We love going there for our housing projects. They always have what we need, are friendly and the prices are competitive.

OMG Im so late with this review. However my window feel down and I couldnt raise it so I YouTube how I could get it up my whole family doubted me and then I came here and the older gentleman watched the video with me gave me supplies I needed then even came out to help me. I wish I could have bought him breakfast right then. Anyway the window is still up and thats awesome because its so very cold and very rainy out... Thanks guys for all your help!

I have found Fred to be the most helpful and carries great products. Most of what Ive purchased at Home Dopey has been terrible....but True Value Hardware carries top grade.

They sell some product that has a shelf life, and is old and bad, what a waste of my time . Store need to be aware of what is old and remove and send back to manufactor . Sorry here i come Lowes and Depot
