Max was one of the most personable and helpful shop owners I’ve met in recent years. He acted like a host and showed me some of the impressive firearms he had in stock based off of our conversation and mutual appreciation for foreign firearm engineering. When it came to buying my firearm he elaborated on all the details of it, where it came from, intended effective range, and even upgrading. Suffice to say this is a great shop ran by a great guy. I will definitely be making the drive to come back and be a patron regularly.

Max is a great guy. He helped my friend pick out the right CCW. After hearing us talk about getting our permit, he let us know he provided classes and a range for the full certificate. Great instructor, and no BS class. I would recommend his class if you know your way around guns.

Stopped to look at some handguns with a smaller grip and also asked about some .22LR ammo, as it is hard to find these days. He had some, so I told him I wanted a couple boxes. I wasnt paying close enough attention, as I was still pondering a sig 365 he had. I ended up paying over $.38/rd!! 4 times anywhere else! Even the price gougers online arent that high!Pay attention to the prices! They are sky high! Go a couple blocks to southwest arms, much nicer fellows and much better prices!!

Don’t have enough great words about Max, we did our CC today and he was wonderful, patient, knowledgeable and so so good. His gun shop is full of so many great things for the serious collector or novice, it’s like stepping back in time looking at some of the rare pieces. Won’t go to another shop.

This was my first visit. The store is small but the owner is huge in character and personality and there is an interesting selection of products. The owner says he gets a lot of estate pieces regularly so this is the kind of shop you will find rare, unusual, and one-of-kind things. I plan to return.Update: I returned about a week later and bought a carbine from Max. While it is true you pay more at mom and pop places, I am very happy with my experience. Whatever I may have “over” paid, I feel like Max took care of me and gave me the best overall package I could get. His customer service (and HUGE personality) won me over. Going forward his will be the first place I look. Definitely check him out!

Went into the shop to pick up a rifle I won in an auction, had a great time chatting with Max while we filled out and waited for the background check paperwork to clear.Really cool shop with some interesting firearms available, really awesome owner, very chatty. I would highly recommend checking it out if you are in the area, or to send your firearm transfers through him.

Had decent options but wish they had more to choose

Everything was extremely over priced. Mosin-Nagant’s selling for $1200, Chinese type SKS for $2000, cheap AK’s for $3000+. Bone stock S&W M&P sport II selling for double what you can buy down the road at Modern Sportsman. Went with a friend to buy 7mm Rem-Mag, tried to sell us old corroded rounds for $6 a round, same rounds on midway for $2.75 a round in perfect condition. They two young guys behind the counter were nice but the owner was pretty pushy, probably because he knew it was all over priced. All in all I would never go there again.

Amazing store and customer service. Max is so knowledgeable and answers any questions you may have. I got my license to carry with them and I am so pleased with my experience. This will be my go to place.

Max helped me find the exact pistol I was looking for, Sig Sauer. Very easy to work with. Very friendly staff. When the box was missing the extra clip, Max ordered one and had it to me within a week. I will shop there again.

I had trust due to the reviews here, but after buying a Sig p320 and come to realize my novice knowledge of purchasing guns was taken advantage of. Charged a 40% mark up compared to the same available gun being offered at the Modern Sportsman shop right down the road. Mostly blame myself for not shopping around more.

Not sure why this place has such good reviews. I came in to buy a magazine for my 9mm and was sold a 20 rd mag for $65. Later, I went online and found the same magazine for $30 from multiple outlets. Do not go here as these guys will rip you off.

I walked in and was really unimpressed with his knowledge of guns. Later found out the he buys his inventory from other shops and sells them at a higher price. He claims to buy his inventory from gunbroker.com and passes the transfer fees to his customers...not the case. The thing that bothered me the most was that while I was in his shop, he sold a tactical shotgun to someone who did have a right to purchase or a c/c...the customer showed him a state ID and his response was “this is the best license to have”! I will never go back and I recommend all gun owners and first time buyers go elsewhere!!!

Nice selection of handguns and long guns. Prices were absolutely ridiculous! Nothing had a price tag on it. 5.56 ammo is over 76 cents a round. Tried to sell my brother a $26 AR magazine for $140. I’ve been buying guns a long time and I’ve been to almost every shop in the metro area. This was by far the worst. Save your time and money go elsewhere unless I wanna get cheated.
