Went in asking if any of the staff members could repair a dented arm on my GUESS sunglasses and was immediately tended to. Within 5 minutes, one the many awesome individuals working had fixed my pair, not needing to buy an entire new set anymore! Best part was the free-of-charge labor! Will definitely return in the future.

My wife and two kids had eye exam, the guy put wrong insurance in his system,said our insurance does not cover anything and he charged full exam price(165$). He did not even check the Insurance card to verify.After I called Insurance company he returned whole amount which he was not supposed to charge. After a month I asked to buy contact lens for my daughter which was free, they charged an exam fee even they did not repeat the exam. I did not want to argue for 66$ but That was my first and last deal with this store

Me and my wife came in today for different things. I got new eyeglasses and my wife contacts. We both absolutely loved this place. The customer service was excellent. The Doctor was very professional and made us feel at home. We will continue coming here and definitely recommend this place.

Surprise, exorbitant $95 fitting fee, which I have never in 29 years paid as part if a contacts exam. Insurance covered only $60 of this fee. This was not disclosed to me when I asked what my co-pay was. I am going to file a complaint with the IAGs office tomorrow. Will not go back.

This place is the worst to go get eye glasses,went there to get my reading eye glasses that cost me $289 dollars, 5 months ago and still not get them, first time took them 2 months,they were not made right, brought them back they said had to pay $300 dollars more so they can make them right, waited 2 more months get my glasses same exact thing not right, had to pay $200 more soy hey can make them again,it has been a moth haven’t hear from them!!! Like really more than 5 months waiting to get my reading glasses,spent around $800 dollars and still not get them yet!!! Not to mention the costumer service the worst too!!!

Dr. Sesso is our eye doctor and we wouldnt go anywhere else. The staff is super nice and answers all your questions no matter how many. They get you fully prepared for your appointment before you even step in the door. Check your insurance and send text/email reminders. I love all the personal attention and the care they give to my kids. Thanks to all of you; you are wonderful!!!

I had a problem with the crystal lake store a couple of years ago related to faulty frames. The staff has zero customer service training on problem solving. Based on reading other reviews, if you do have a problem, they presume it’s your fault and tell you to leave which was my experience. I have since bought glasses elsewhere with a far more positive experience.

Location and services themselves are fine. My issue is that when I tried to book an eye exam online, the website said they would call me back and confirm the appointment. A few days passed and I never heard back from them so I decided to call them to confirm. The lady who picked up the phone said that nothing went through and that her next availability was 2 weeks from the date I had requested.Why claim to have a website that can book eye exams when its clearly not part of the process/reviewed to make appointments? The website showed so much availability but apparently theres no availability for weeks later.

There are so many places to go! Dont go here. Well over 2 weeks for sunglasses when I was promised one week. We were leaving for a long road trip and the sunglasses were needed. I was assured I would have them in time. Nope! No one called to inform us they will not be in on time. When I called for status they were so rude. We are back and the glasses are still are not in. My family will go somewhere else next time.

Me and my family have been going to this eye boutique for the last 17 years, haven’t had an issue with the company till most recent years considering the customer service has been awful. Recently has a corneal abrasion & had loss of vision in one eye. Called in & spoke to Brandon H. on setting an appointment, he said he’d have to talk to the doctor and get back to me, 5 hours pass by with no response so I call once again and was told they would call me back again, never heard from anyone for two days and had to call again to set an appointment. When coming into my exam a woman named Edith stated they will not be able to use my insurance for the exam which was the opposite of what I was told on the phone. She then stated for the inconvenience, I would receive a 20% discount considering I was told otherwise. I then agree to the exam, afterwords I am cashiered out by Brandon H. Who states I will not be receiving any discounts, Edith then tells him she did in fact tell me she would honor the discount. He refuses to do so & asked if I would like to pay with cash or credit. I then explain my whole situation to him, where he never apologizes once & stated he never called me back in the first place cause my situation was not an emergency in his opinion. Nevertheless this is the type of treatment you should expect if you decide to come here!

Super professional eye exam with a very helpful staff. I was able to have them search for my vision insurance details and help me maximize my benefits from it. Dont know what else anybody could want from an optometrist. (oh, and Dr. Bernardi literally saved my life for quickly seeing me when I had eye issues, got me to a specialist ASAP)

I went in to look first for frames and Dan came up and ask me if I needed help. When I told him that I wanted to see if them would have any frame I would like before I set up an appointment, he help me find ones I could want and set up an appointment. after my appointment I was lucky that Dan was there to help made my final choice as he remember me and was very helpful. also liked that they do a double check to see if they measure right for the fit

We received a letter from my 8 year old sons school that he needed to have a Vision test so we schedule with Eye Boutique. Dr. Bernardi was amazing with my son - he explained everything to him. Dr. Bernardi knows kids too - he answered every question patiently and was very informative. Now its time to pick out glasses - Ania Kapica was soooo helpful with picking out frames for my son. It took him awhile but again Ania was patient and we had fun trying on soooo many pairs.Fast forward to a couple weeks ago, it was time for a check up. We saw Dr. Bernardi again and my son goes in for his exam on his own. Completely comfortable. This time we have my 6 year old daughter with us she is meeting Dr. Bernanrdi for the first time and here come all her questions. He again was so patient and we spent alot of time laughing. He makes eye exams seem so fun for the kids. Looking forward to next years visit.

If I can rate this place zero I will, This place is garbage, I took the eye exam for 3 times and all those 3 were wrong, the STAFF just wouldnt help at all come back when the manager is here is all I kept hearing I had to eventually pay for new eye exam somewhere else, i took that prescription to this place, even the with that they screw up, the lenses prescription are way bad according with the prescription that suppost to be, I dont recommended this place, save yourself the headache and the money, please go somewhere else like Walmart, Target or even Dollar store is better option.Rude staff. Not very customer oriented

Make sure you know 100% what lenses you choose rather its bifocal transition whatever it may be because they do not tell you up front that if you are not satisfied with the lenses and would like to exchange them or return them for your money back well basically youre out the money you spent on the lenses and they are not cheap! no matter what you read on online that policy doesnt apply to there store policy the STAFF just wouldnt help at all come back when the manager is here is all I kept hearing i had to eventually pay for new lenses and once again they are not cheap! i dont recommended this place save yourself the headache and the money and go elsewhere

Took my daughter in as a new patient, they were unclear with the out of pocket costs after my insurance. Decided to go somewhere else and asked for a refund on the $60 fitting fee before the fitting took place. I never received the refund and I paid in cash. I didnt like that they dont assist you in telling you upfront what your costs will be.

I regret I recommended my husband to do his contact lens exam here. They did not give him a heads up for the price before the exam. And after that they charged him for $170 for the contact lens exam only. I used to do my contact lens exam in another store, without insurance, I only need to pay $90. It is ridiculous, and when we stopped by asking for an explanation, they are very rude. Please run away from this terrible place. Worst experience ever!!!

UPDATE:The glasses did, in fact, come in today. I was called immediately and was even offered a delivery if I couldnt make it in. Big shout out to Ania and Crystal for the help!ORIGINAL:I have been coming to the Eye Boutique for the last 26 years and during that time I have added a husband and 3 kids to the entourage. I have never experienced a problem with anything until now.Dr. Sesso is always very nice and thorough. He takes his time to talk to you and is professional and personable. The front office staff has always been pleasant and helpful. I have always been told that my glasses would be in within 2 weeks and they have most often been ready well before that.This time, we werent so lucky. My husbands glasses broke and we went in to order him another pair. We did not need to see Dr. Sesso, so we were just looking at frames. The girl that helped us was friendly, but a little distant. We picked out frames and sat down to get all of the options that we wanted. The girl had already set up a plan based on our insurance and our previous purchases. It was a breeze.No worries, glasses will be ready in 2 weeks.2 weeks go by. I call. Sam is the most frequent one I speak to over the course of the next week and a half. The lab had a breakage. They have flagged it. They are scheduled for coating today. I will give you a call back tomorrow. No call. No update. No apology or plan to cover him in the meantime. 4 days ago, Sam finally set us up with another trial pair of contacts that he could wear. Unfortunately, his eyes are so sore at this point that the contacts were bothering him.It wasnt until I finally spoke to the manager yesterday that I got an apology (I know its not her fault, its the labs) and a plan of action. She actually called me today to let me know that his glasses will be delivered tomorrow and will call me when UPS drops off the package.I am wiling to give them another shot seeing as Ive been going there since High School, but its going to be a hard sell to my husband who has been straining his eyes for the last 4 weeks.

What has happened to the Eye Boutique I once knew?!! I have been an Eye Boutique customer for 25 +/- years. I started going to the Schaumburg store in the early 1990s. Once I was married and moved further northwest I started going to the Crystal Lake store. I even convinced my husband to go there for all of his eye exams and glasses. Over the years we have spent thousands of dollars getting eye exams and purchasing all sorts of eyewear. At no time did either one of us ever have a complaint or ever returned an item. In March of this year I had an eye exam and purchased a pair of progressive glasses and sunglasses for driving. From the very beginning I had problems with the progressive glasses. In order for me to read anything I had to physically hold the glasses up with my hands. The bifocals in the lens were placed way too low making them impossible to use for reading. In addition, the temples were very loose and were unstable from the very beginning. In fact the right temple broke off completely and was lost last week. Today I brought them back to the store and asked to have them replaced free of charge (for my time and trouble). The manager, Justin Frisch, said he could not replace them for free and insinuated that I had broke one of the temples purposely. In fact, he acted like I was taking up his “valuable” time and treated me as if I was trying to scam him. I explained to him that my husband and I had been customers for over 25 years and had never had a problem or returned anything. Then he said that being long time customers or being a brand new customer were all the same to him. I explained that I didn’t want to argue with him and that I just wanted a replacement pair of glasses free of charge. He refused to do that MULTIPLE times and never offered to talk to his boss or anyone else about the situation. At which point, I said if he didn’t want to replace them my husband and I would no longer be Eye Boutique customers. He acted like he could care less, got huffy and said there was nothing he could do. Needless to say, I immediately left the store and went down the street to Eye Boutique’s competitor. At the competitor’s store I received prompt courtesy service and purchased two new pair of progressive glasses. The bottom line was NEVER about the money. I just wanted to be treated with courtesy, care, VALUE and respect. It’s too bad that Jason lost two lifelong customers over ONE pair of glasses ..... talk about not seeing the forest for the trees!!!

Dr. is great but staff is terrible. Mainly one woman Edith. Shes rude and overcharged my credit card by $200! The first time I was there another woman was having an issue with her so i assumed I was catching residue bitchy-ness from the prior issue. I figured everyone has an off day. I have now been there 3 times, and each time she is just awful! You cant even ask a simple question about insurance benefits without her acting like your an idiot and trying to rip the place off. Im not sure why they keep her because she is definitely causing them to lose business! I will not be back. Im sure I can find a good Dr. elsewhere without having to deal with all the attitude.

Dr. Sesso gets 5 stars because hes a great optometrist and very friendly person. His staff however are a problem. Ive been a customer of eye boutique for at least 30 years, ordering glasses, contacts and have purchased a few pairs of expensive sunglasses over the years. Ive also referred many of my friends looking for a good optometrist to eye boutique. Whenever I order contacts to replenish my supply, Dr. Sesso always gave me some trial lenses to last me till my order comes in. Lately, this office manager (some lady with glasses) refuses to give me some trials...even though I know they get them free and the doctor always gave me trials when I came in. This lady needs to know who their loyal customers are for MANY years and treat them as such. I dont want to refer more friends when someone like her works there. Dr. Sesso, youre awesome...but please have a talk with the disrespectful lady you have working for you. Thanks

They gave me the appointment card with the date on it but when I went the following week for my appointment they told me that I didnt have one and ask for the card with the appointment written on it. They act like I was lying about making the appointment. They said they could not take care of me and that I had to make another appointment.
