These guys are the best! Ive brought my 05 Ford Focus here several times. Theyre honest, no bs or upsell attempts, and great mechanics. Ive driven away 100% happy every time.McInnis muffler shop across the street is also great. Brought my car there after getting an estimate elsewhere and got the repair done for significantly less, largely because their mechanic had developed a system to do an equally good repair without buying as many sections/parts. Exhaust system still intact 4, maybe 5 years later.

I call to get work done, plus I went on their website, no one return my call or reply. I was recommended to these guys because of the good work they do, Im guessing that this was the wrong shop.

I was happy to find a new mechanic in NWI with glowing reviews. I took my vehicle here for an oil change and replacing a tail light bulb. I’ve changed my tail lights before, but didn’t have any bulbs and already had an oil change lined up with McInnis so I asked if they would change the bulb during my appointment. Immediately following the oil change, I noticed a 3” diameter puddle of oil under my vehicle in the garage. Called the owner and told him. He told me to bring it back in and it was promptly taken care of. A day later, the indicator for my taillight pops up again on my dashboard. Upon closer inspection, the bracket wasn’t replaced so the tail light lens was secured with only wiring and one screw, and was just flapping about while I was driving! I call the owner again and tell him how frustrating it was having to come back for two of two items. He tells me he had this fresh out of high school intern do the work, and was puzzled that it wasn’t done correctly, because he was typically reliable. Clearly, McInnis is allowing inexperienced teens train on vehicles with little oversight, at the expense of customer. At this point, the owner and the kid can’t seem to locate the bracket but say they will order it for me free of charge but I’ll have to come back when it’s in in two weeks, for a third and final time. He orders the part and after a day later, I realize I don’t even trust them to install said bracket at this point, and I’d rather cut my losses and try a new mechanic. The experience couldn’t possibly be any worse than this.

Cant praise this place enough! My sons first car was an old beater, and they fixed it up for him the same day he got his license! They looked it over, fixed a few things and gave me a great deal. I will continue to bring all my vehicles here. Thanks for the great service!

I tend to move around auto repair shops with my vehicles and stay as long as things are going well. I been going here for a few thousand dollars worth of work and am really liking this place. Prices are competitive with the going area shop rate, they do good work. At first I checked a few jobs they quoted with other places and they were competitive, close to $10 difference which is great. I like when they tell me while doing the job something else is wrong so I can get it fixed. Sometimes they only write the recommendation on the receipt because they probably think the customer will get irritated spending more, but I dont like those problems hanging out there... A few times they struggled to diagnose problems but they seem to be sincere when they cant get it right and try to make it right. The alternative is the dealer which always gets it right but you pay a little more and always do a little more at the dealer.They are very busy, usually a 3 or 4 day backlog and have to make an appointment but its a good sign they do good work and worth the wait if you can spare the vehicle. They will turn down some work, Im not sure why but most all jobs they have taken, the ones they dont i just go to the dealer.Once you get to know the guys at the desk you will feel comfortable.Im extremely pleased I found this shop and am going to continue to give them my business.

The owner Mike is a good and honest person. He runs a respectable business. Dont find that too often these days. I will definitely go back when I need work done on my van. I highly recommend this business.

Never going back. Dishonest. Said I needed new brakes and rotors on back and front, took it to Grimmers and they found the actual problem. Not sure why my trunk was opened when I picked up my car if they thought it was my brakes when I have no wheel locks. They also charged me an inspection fee and did not do any work. Grimmers doesnt bc they are honest and fair

I went into this shop needing to get a low beam headlight replaced on my sons Genesis! Two other places quoted 1-1/2 hours labor because the front bumper had to be removed to access the light. While the two (very personable and knowledgeable) guys at the front counter were working up the quote the owner comes out of the back room, grabs my keys & the light I brought in that cost $99, hops in the car mumbling “I’ve only seen two of these in the past 11 years”, pops it up in the lift. I’m like what’s going on? I need to pick up my son, I need an appointment!!! The very cool guy at the counter tosses me a key and says “take the grey van to pick up your son.” I’m like, you don’t even know my name. He says, I trust you and I’ve got your car lol! I got back 10 minutes later and my car is sitting there, new light installed and they would not take a penny! The guys said I got lucky. The owner knew a trick and it took 2 minutes! I could not believe how awesome, generous and kind everyone was! I’m a customer for life now! Was looking for a place like this I could call my auto body home! Found it!! You guys are rock stars!!

Stopped here because my transmission suddenly wouldnt shift. They were able and willing to take a look, found the issue, and got me back on the road quickly. Great people! If they were near my home I would make them my mechanic!

Every time I do have an issue with my 2005 Honda Civic I all ways bring it to Mclnnis. They are HONEST and fix my car the CORRECT WAY. I would NOT even think of bringing my car any place else. They just replaced my timing belt,water pump, spark plugs, valve cover gasket an changed my oil and radiator fluid. ALL for under $800 Car is running GREAT NOW. Getting even better gas mileage out of it now. Oh yeah they also fixed my fuel door release cable too

My kids got ripped off at another local biz, claiming all sorts of diagnoses for the problem when all it was: They hadnt hooked up a hoses properly. McInnis was not only HONEST, but they hooked it up for no charge. After spending hundreds, it was a breath of fresh air to know youre dealing with a KNOWLEDGEABLE and an HONEST repair shop. Oh my goodness ~ I was on a six-hour road trip, a female by myself, and something didnt sound right in my vehicle. I turned into McInnis and they had me in and out of there in less than a half hour, tightened all the loose lug nuts (they said my tires were about to fall off), and didnt charge me a thing. They were my heroes that day!

Brake line fixed (over $320) but didnt feel done correctly. Brakes spongy and going to the floor. Questioned before leaving lot. Guy said they were fine. After having my ex try them, he agreed brakes were not right. Went back but had to make appt in the future to have them checked. Was told I would be charged because he fixed the line and thats all he really had to do. I think bleeding the brakes properly should very well be part of a $320+ brake job.

Wanted to like this place based on reviews, but they didnt even look at my car or its issue, rather guessed that it was an intermittent nothing to be worried about problem caused by low antifreeze. Wanted to sell me a new overflow tank. Took it to the dealer and found coils were going bad. THEY found the problem, why not McInnis? Def. wont be back. Nor do I recommend.

COME HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK,I cant beleive this place has good reveiws, found out me and my mother went to the same place and what a coincedence, she had to take her car back 2-3 for a simple problem that they obviously cant fix, and i had to take my car back 6 times for them to actually put on the catalyctic converter, 3 of which was in the same day. Guy probably lost more money fixing my car THE RIGHT WAY then he would of made if he didnt hire people that didnt know how to do anything besides change oil. Comes to findout, anyone ive ever met thaf said they went to this place said they hate the service and would love to see the place go out of business. Oh yeah cant forget they told me a quote and then charged me and extra $300 no extras parts
