This man is everything you hope for in a mechanic. He knows his stuff, he deals in straight facts, and his rates are reasonable. I have sent friends and family to him for years: no one has had a complaint. Me either.

Awesome service. Guy is a car genius. Ive brought my subarus and Mitsubishi and I get a call back either that day or the next morning. Very honest and trustworthy.

I went to DMI with my own personal vehicle to get it inspected. The gentleman was very helpful and inspected my vehicle after I went and got two new tires. He seemed very trustworthy and very capable. I disclosed to him that my 18 year old daughter had a car that she needed some work done on. She tookthe car there on her own and he did $800 worth of work to the vehicle. I have no qualms about the price as Im sure it was accurate according to what he told us needed to be done. One of the things he did was an oil change. Immediately after leaving there she moved to Albany New York. Upon arriving in Albany she noticed that she was having engine problems and the light was going on. She pulled into a mechanic shop and the mechanic proceeded to tell her that she had no oil at all in her oil reservoir. apparently he drained the oil to do the oil change and never added any oil. She has since had engine problems. We have called him several times and tried to reach him to make arrangements for a refund of some sort to help compensate for the engine issues that he caused. He will not return our phone calls. We are being forced to take civil matter at this point. I recommend not using DMI. Even though things went very well with my vehicle... Apparently if he makes a mistake he is willing to let his clients struggle rather than own up to his mistake and help fix issues that he caused. I am not happy at all! I will never go back!

In 2008, unfamiliar with Scranton, I took a friend’s suggestion and tried DMI. Never in eleven years have I got anything but A+++ service. DMI respects your car and your wallet, and never sells unnecessary work. I know this because out of layperson’s lack of knowledge, I have asked (often) for service only to be told I don’t need it. I travel over 25 miles to reach DMI because the trip is *always* worth it. The new waiting area is great and comfortable. Can’t recommend DMI highly enough.
