We stopped in after finding Manning Dairy on the web. Well worth the stop. Best ice cream ever and one of the most helpful employees I’ve ever met. Kind, friendly, informative, just a super fun visit!!!!

I can honestly say that Manning’s ice cream is the best ice cream I have ever had!This location also has a wonderful and nice staff. True pleasure to stop in here!

Today, I experienced greatness at Manning Farm Dairy. It is a quaint little farm with nicest people who you will form connections with for a lifetime. Today, there was a newbie, Elizabeth her name was. She was so helpful, like a baby cow. I loved my experience there, it was amazing. 10/10 recommend. 5 Stars for my girl Lizzy.

Ice creams are good. Lots of flavors.ButMy experience, some of the people behind the counter are mean. It would be better they treat people without discrimination.

Kelsey, Matt, and Perla were Amazingly patient and friendly. I went right before closing and instead of them trying to rush me out they allowed me to look over the entire menu as well as the ice creams (Thereare a lot of ice cream flavors to choose from as well as pie flavors and Sundays and milkshakes) before I decided on what I wanted. They definitely deserve a raise!!!!

We walked in alone to find an empty store and tge staff ckeaning up, we finished ordering and boom !!!!! The store was jammed packed, a crew member told me its normal it never stops wit a positive attitude about it. Im from RI was on VAC visiting family will be back soon !!!

Not only is their ice cream to die for. But wow every time we walk into this store on Meadow Ave the staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. They know what’s in every ice cream, never seem bothered, truly amazing customer service. I’m not sure where they get their employees or who trains them but wow! Really Amazing staff and it doesn’t matter who’s working here we love stopping. Apple crisp ice cream is amazing only problem with it, is I can’t stop eating it!

Love this place its so cute inside and the girls are so sweet. There is a vast amount of ice cream an frozen yogurt. An the milkshake are so good. An make sure to ask for a ice cream or milkshake card. If you are a ice cream lover after so many purchases you get a free one. An the pricing is low for a fresh made ice cream. They also sell cakes, pies an fresh milks.

Today I had the cookies and cream ice cream here, and this took me back to when I was in Florida, I was 8 and I had cookies and cream for the first time and Fell in love with the flavors ! This was the best ice cream I ever had very good the cream and cookies were so good !!

Had another great experience at Manning’s today. Super friendly worker today. The ice cream is the best in the area. There is a wide selection of flavors. Convenient location right off I81 and a large parking area. Cash only, but you already knew that. And if you didn’t? There are about ten signs saying no cards, so hit the ATM and enjoy your ice cream cone.

They have a large selection of ice cream flavors. The service was good, not as friendly as I prefer. The single serve, small, is a huge scoop, and the price is reasonable. I have been to almost 50 creameries in the East Coast. Their mint chip ice cream is much lighter in flavor and needs more chips. I am glad I tried it, and its good. But not my favorite.

The ice cream is delicious. The rest of the joint - not so much. Before you even step inside you are greeted by a large sign that says, SMILE YOU ARE ON CAMERA! We attempted to smile but there is nothing fun to look at - rather there are warnings everywhere: You can NOT substitute cups! Do not ask to put small ice cream in medium cup! You only get one cone or cup! Additional cup 15 cents! I can understand a cup costs money - have the waitperson inform the customer of the 15 cent fee if they ask for a special order - no need to post it obscenely all over the store. The teenage waitstaff is less than amiable. There is absolutely zero decor. Arent ice cream shops supposed to be fun? If they want customers to SMILE ON CAMERA! they should cheer the place up some. But they never will because this is Scranton and people would rather be unhappy.

My family and I always love coming here when in PA visiting family. Delicious ice cream! Im a huge butterbeer fan so when I saw they had a seasonal flavor of Butterbeer, I was thrilled! It is so rich and creamy.

Small ice cream shop/dairy. The ice cream was pretty good, and Im told the fresh milk is also pretty tasty, although I didnt get any this time. The staff was very nice, and the shop was clean. Just so everyone knows, this location doesnt accept credit/debit cards or checks, so be sure to bring cash with you if you go.

Its like a 3.5 the icecream is about average in my opinion and is quite pricey, but the quality of ingredients is very good but I go there for the cookie dough icecream cake and chocolate milk! The only place that’s better is hillside in Dallas.

This is not the place to go if you like a really really thick milkshake. Went there 2 times recently and ordered a super thick milkshake, the kind that is hard to suck through the straw. Well both times I left with a chocolate milk like consistency. It’s disappointing when you can’t get what you order.

We bought Whitehouse cherry half gallon and only had literally 3 or 4 cherries in it? I never usually complain but when your paying $5-6 for half gallon shouldnt you get cherries in WHITE HOUSE CHERRY?

Heard great things about this place- came while in town to celebrate a graduation.I have celiacs and asked if a certain ice cream was gluten free- the girl behind the counter told me that it was, and her celiac friend got it. So I ordered.After a few bites it didn’t look quite right and I asked to see the ingredients. It did have gluten. People shouldn’t work in food service and be irresponsible with food allergies and intolerances.

I would really like to give my honest review of the ice cream here at Mannings on Meadow Ave in Scranton, but as I pulled in at 9:47, the two girls who worked here were already chatting in front of the store with the one making the last quarter turn of the key to lock the front doors.Now I live in West Scranton, very near their store on Main Ave. I usually go there for my ice cream, but I was mistaken about their hours tonight, and I got there at 9:37, seven minutes after they shut their doors, which must have been very near the time, as they were mops in hand right behind the glass front door.. They were so polite as I showed them my boo boo lip, which they returned with sad faces 😢. Really wanting ice-cream, I made the ride through Scranton, straight up Lackawanna Ave to Moosic Street to Meadow Ave to the front doors of Mannings Ice-cream store in Exactly 10 minutes, only to find the scene I described above. Two stores, separated by 10 minutes and two very different work crews.. Ill bet the future success of the West Scranton girls with all the faith in the world.It all hinges on how one handles their responsibilities when no one is looking. The lesson that should be learned here is that someone is always looking.Ill be back sometime, looking for an ice cream, but my experience has shown me I need only look to the store in West Scranton, and the mature and responsible girls who work there. . Thanks

I recently moved into the area with my fiancé. The first time he got me ice cream here was from Manning. He had so many good things to say about Mannings and their ice cream, its not to say their ice cream isnt good, but today my first time setting foot inside the place was just unwelcoming and uncomfortable. I get that its probably a family business and all, but most businesses actually pay attention to their customers, NOT talk on the phone for the ENTIRETY of our visit. Overall, it wasnt a good experience for me and wont be going back anytime soon. Next time, Ill just go to any other ice cream store that is actually friendly. #firstimpressionsmatter.
