I brought my 2001 Forrester in yesterday for major maintenance. He called me up and told me that changing a bunch of fluids was going to cost me $2000. I said do the work because I don’t have any other choice. I was later told by a friend whose boyfriend is a mechanic that I was overcharged by over $1000 for this work. I paid for it. Because I didn’t have any other choice.Today I picked up the car. I did not complain about the prices. Sam my Service intake person called Robert the lot guy over to get my car and bring it to me. Robert got out of my car with his mask off his face. He was in my car, with all the windows shut, breathing unfiltered air, right where I have to sit. I asked to have the car sanitized. By someone other than the guy who was driving my car around without a mask.Robert sprayed something on a paper towel and wiped down part of the steering wheel. That is not *sanitizing*There is a global pandemic going on. If I catch Covid, it is entirely the fault of the service department of Cypress Coast Subaru. Because they don’t care about anybody’s health.
I have been bringing my Subaru here for 8 years now and have always trusted Hunter and Matt to take care of my car! They are kind, welcoming, and knowledgable. I never feel like I am being taken advantage of or talked down to and will continue to give them my business. A big THANK YOU to the Cypress Coast Subaru team!!
Outstanding customer service. Took my 17’ forester there for PZEV emissions warranty after my local dealership was going to charge me $2200 for the same in warranty repair. Drove over two hours to have it done and I was in and out in less than 2 hours. Shout out to Matt in the service department for excellent service!
Fit me in to their packed schedule when I had an emergency issue on a road trip. Really appreciated Matts help!
Excellent service! Seamless drop off and pick up. The technicians were extremely accommodating when we realized about an hour past our appointment that we had missed it. We called to see if there was still a possibility of fitting us in that day and they did. Very professional and friendly staff.
I have been coming to the service department for 6 years now. I’ve been through 2 subies, and I must say, the service department is INCREDIBLE. They have accommodated me same day, they have worked with me during emergencies, have shuffled around cars to provide me with loaners in a pinch- and everyone puts up with my exuberant personality. They have never tried to sell me on anything, they always provide me with my options and are 100% honest. They are also incredibly kind and know how to have a good laugh!I may be a Subaru loyalist, but know that you can trust any vehicle with these guys.
The sales person and their manager were very helpful. It felt like they were trying to help me find the best car for me. They were happy to take us all over the lots to look at different models. The other dealerships I went to it was like pulling teeth to get them to show us a car that was not in the immediate surrounding. I highly recommend visiting this location.
I bought a new car from Cypress Coast Subaru recently, via the Costco auto buying program. I found the sales staff to be professional and attentive. I walked in knowing what I wanted, which was a car that wasnt on their lot. They offered me a more expensive car that was on their lot, but gave me no hard sales pitch when I said that it wasnt what I wanted. They transferred a car from a nearby dealership for me. The process was smoothly executed, and communicated clearly to me. All along, Michael, my sales rep, was super-helpful and courteous. I would recommend them to other car shoppers.
Always had good service here during my year long stay in the area! Never felt like I was getting cheated and the people were really friendly.
We took our 2015 Outback in for some work on a recall, and asked them to change the oil and rotate the tires, but not to do other items called for in the 30,000 mile inspection, since I wanted these things done by a highly-rated independent garage which I had used very successfully for a Japanese car I previously owned. This garage found a serious oil leak at the right cylinder head that should have been seen and corrected during the work at Cypress Coast. The independent garage said that the area of leak(s) was too wet to see their origin without cleaning off the oil pan. They also said that it should have been covered by warranty, and suggested taking it back to the dealership.
Cypress Subaru Service department is great! Manager hunter and representative Matt will really take care of every detail. We have had our Subaru Forrester serviced there for the last 6 1/2 years and they’ve always done top Quality work.Thank you Cypress Subaru service department!Gary Stafford
Remodeling so a bit awkward getting around and finding the office. Offered too low of a trade in on my 2015 Outback. Didnt end up buying there. Friendly staff.
This was by far the best car buying experience of my life. It does help if you know what you want I had already established what car I wanted so with the help of Mark and Troy they found the car with the options and color and most importantly the price I wanted, except it was all the way in Modesto. They picked it up for me AND delivered it to my house ! They offered me a great price on my trade in. Troy came showed me all I needed to know about my new car, we filled out the paperwork in 10 minutes and he took my trade in back to the dealership when he left, it was like I said the easiest most streamlined car buying experience of my life. Id like to point out that I did contact other dealerships both over phone and in person not one single one offered the kind of service I got at Cypress not one! The others told me it would be weeks before I could get the car I wanted at a much higher price. I will always use Cypress Coast Suburu, ALWAYS!
Love this dealership. We live out of town and worked with Justin online and via text. He was readily available and answered all of our questions. He was personable, friendly and not pushy at all. When we drove down to the dealership to buy our car he was very welcoming and walked us through everything step by step. He knows his Subaru vehicles like the back of his hand.We will be back when it’s time for another car.
The coast is a nice place to buy a car, buy the car and take the scenic route home to enjoy the new car, sales representative Rayjohn was very helpful and nice.
Jake Alber saved me from a burning house fire and let me borrow his Nissan Leaf to impress my Blind Tinder date, I payed him back with a purchase of an all new 2020 Subaru Crosstrek Limited. Thank you for the smooth business Yago xoxo
My experience with Cypress Coast Subaru was Superb!! James Goodman my Salesperson was very kind, patient, and VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. ID recommend Cypress Coast Subaru to anyone!! I LOVE MY IMPREZA👍😉♥️
Nice people but not much stock, look hard to find it
Really happy with my experience here. I came in to get new tires along with a routine maintenance service. According to my mileage, it was time for new tires, but they let me know that my tires were still good for quite awhile, which kept me from spending hundreds of dollars on something unnecessary.
Great service from a guy named Matt. I’d recommend this place to anyone.
The service check-in staff were very nice and extremely helpful. The service was completed quickly. However, the inside of my car was dirty with grease stains on both seats, on the supports along the windshield, steering wheel, glove box, and part of the underside. Some of these have cleaned off but others have not. This was not the first time this occurred and I am considering doing regular maintenance elsewhere.
I had an issue regarding my Subaru and this team went out of their way to make it right. I’m very happy with the level of help and customer service provided here. Matt in the service department went above and beyond to help me get things resolved. Quality service.
The service department was so good to me--I didnt have an appointment and they were able to accommodate anyway. I really appreciate that they told me when my car would be ready and then called me when it was done. They examined everything after doing the oil change--my rear brake pads were almost gone and they were able to replace them the same day. I knew my original tires would need replacing soon and they told me I might have about another 6 months left (a different Subaru service center told me that a few months earlier too) but what I wasnt expecting was the service rep to write down the all the specs, including the price, and then say to me in case you wanted to compare prices with Costco or another tire center. By the way, I did check out prices elsewhere but since there was no real difference in cost, I will be having this service center replace my tires. Very happy with all the Subaru service centers Ive used over the past few years and this one is just as good if not better.
My wife and I have serviced our 2010 Subaru Forester here since we bought it new, and we have been impressed by the courteous advice provided by Hunter and other members of the service team, as well as the quality of the work conducted on our car. We recently purchased a Subaru Outback here and were similarly impressed by the no-nonsense, attentive and honest service provided by Matt, who sold us the car. I recommend this dealership both for purchasing and servicing your Subaru.
Calls to the service department went to voice mail with a promise of a prompt call back. Days went by with no call back. An attempt to schedule an appointment online found that the first available appointment was 9 days away. They should get zero stars for unavailable service.
Brought my nephews car for a recall service. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly.
The adviser/Technician ( MATT) in the service department has been going way over and beyond the duties to help me and my wife with problems we are having with our Subaru and he is so so nice and respectful and he always tells me that he has our best interest in mind and that’s an understatement for him. I mean I never really trusted the service department any place, but MATT has really been there for us and the world needs more of him in the world. So if you ever have any problems or questions ask MATT in the service department. He is a great great guy. Thanks MATT!Brett,
This visit was to fix a recall problem with rear light bulb. Afterward they presented me with a receipt saying a spark plug would need replacing soon at a cost over $600! I took my car to to my regular mechanic (The Masters) for an oil change and asked them to check the spark plusg. They told me the plugs were fine. Cypress Coast Subaru continues to disappoint!
As always it is worth the drive from Santa Cruz to get the best customer service, most professional work, and least amount of hassle. I tell all my Subaru driving friends in Santa Cruz to take the extra drive. Thumbs up!
Cypress Coast Subaru has the most difficult service department I have ever had to use. They seem to be unwilling to answer the phone but instead want the customer to leave a message so they can call back at their convenience. On two separate occasions I have had this happen. Both occasions I called service a minimum of four times and no one answered. I had to wait for the service rep. to get around to calling me back.
Just bought our new Outback. Cypress Coast dealership was the best. No pressure, honest and upfront. I highly recommend them. We went from BMW to Subaru and have zero regrets!
This has to been the worst car buying and service department in California. I have had nothing but issues with the leased 2018 outback I bought in May 2018. Tire pressure gauge continually gives incorrect readings yet when the service department is told about it they say it’s not a big deal and won’t fix it. Navigation system and display have crashed. Subaru’s is aware and issues a recall. Cypress coast said they ordered a replacement yet fail to give up dates on when the parts will arrive. It’s been over 5 week. Called multiple times last week left messages and got no response. When I finally did I was rudely told part ordering isn’t their priority and if I didn’t like how long it was taking I should call Subaru directly. I understand when recalls happen it takes time but the rudeness and disregard for the customer is unbelievable.
It was the best car buying experience I have had to date! Justin took me on a test drive then once I made my choice he was sure to sit with me at the end of the deal to explain all of the must knows about my new Subaru-it was amazing how much he knew! He even told me about the lights on the dash and what the major ones meant. Truly loved the experience and love, love, love my new Subaru!
Hunter, Matt, and the entire service team go above and beyond for their customers. My 2015 Forester has been serviced by them and them only since the day I bought it brand new. It is my business vehicle and averages 2500 miles a month. It recently had an oil leak and had to be in the shop for 2 weeks for repairs. Matt put me in a brand new 2018 Forester Courtesy Vehicle until my car was done. He understood how important it was to have a reliable vehicle for my business while my car was undergoing repairs. Matt updated me frequently and kept me well informed of each step of the repair process. The technician found a part that needed replacing while fixing the leak and Matt got it approved through my EasyCare warranty so it could all be done at once. Stellar customer service and excellent work! You wont regret taking your Subaru to these guys!!
Great dealership with great sales staff (Kamal) and lots of inventory. I knew what model and color car I wanted and they had it. There was no pressure to buy.I didnt give 5 stars because it seemed like a long process.
Service has greatly improved even though they get really busy they take the time to reach out. Julian, Matt, and Lorena are all great! Just the fact of keeping contact is really nice and shows sympathy for frustrated customers who may have a lemon. (Faulty car).
Would be a 5 but both times staff without masks in a closed room. Not happy.
Ashley was great! We got there around 4pm and told her we werent looking to buy today, just test drive a few cars and buy in about a week or so. Never did she lower her outstanding quality of customer service! Never pushy and let us take our time to really pick apart each car we tested. Never did she even mention we interrupted her lunch when we came in, she only asked if she could grab a quick bite and we were more then willing to wait! And when we did decide to buy, on our own never any swaying from Ashley, she stayed with us till 9pm dealing with all the paperwork! If we ever need another car we will ONLY buy from her!
Thank you Cypress Coast Subaru for caring for my Crosstrek. You are courteous and professional in your service to our cars and us as customers. I am very happy I bought my car from you.
I keep coming to Subaru dealerships to have my Forester serviced by authorized, confident, and trained Subaru technicians. Therefore, I am not pleased when I request an expensive 15,000mi maintenance and a tire patch only to be told to take my Subaru elsewhere to have the tire patched. The reasoning given was that a nail was “too close” to some other thing. No effort is made to really inform me of anything other than the basics. The words used were, “We don’t want to be liable.” Are you serious? I can’t depend on the manufacturer-certified professionals to fix a tire on their car? I wasn’t even up-sold on a new tire. Now I need to search for a tire shop I’ve never been to before that is willing to accept the responsibility for its work. Then I was lectured about the maintenance on the vehicle because a different Subaru did a thing. I’ve had much better communication and seen better effort from another dealership. No “results” of my maintenance visit were discussed with me beyond what can’t be done about the tire. My paperwork wasn’t explained. I just have a bunch of checkmarks next to various articles that are “good”, I guess. I’m not totally sure where my money went.I was perfectly friendly the entire time of my visit and now I’m a wad of cash poorer. Plus, my problem still hasn’t been fixed. I feel like I’ve wasted my time and money and that my business was forgettable. I don’t appreciate it. Don’t address this review unless you plan to make this right.
The service department here is awesome. Came here to get an oil and change, and the head of the service department was the best. He had it in and out in no time at all. Great place to do business!
I am visiting the Monterey Bay Area and had an emergency situation. Cypress was scheduling a week out, but Matt in service said bring it down and we will try to take a look at it. Had it not gotten taken care of, I would have been stranded, away from my family, indefinitely. They looked at it the very first day I left it, and fixed the issue temporarily, so that I could make it home safely! Matt...you are the bomb! As much as I love my home dealer, Peninsula Subaru in Gorst, Washington, Cyoress is my dealer away from home! Thank you, thank you for all you do! And Matt deserves a big fat raise! What a guy! 💜
Sales staff were friendly, helpful, and informative. I am very happy with my new Subaru and the service I have received at this dealership.
The service was done fast and well. The man we worked with was kind. The quote we got for a bolt replacement was much higher than another place we ended up going to fix that problem. They were able to figure everything out and then we made the decision to go elsewhere based on pricing, but youll have that at a dealership verses a privately owned business.
Original repairs took over two months to be completed. Practically no calls with repair updates were recieved during the three times my vehicle was in the shop. Vehicle was returned making a sound that was not present when the vehicle originally was taken in for engine diagnosis/repairs. A few days after getting the car back for the first time, it unexpectedly had to be taken back to replace a failed transmission part. Car still makes sound from transmission/engine bay area. Because the repairs required the engine to be removed from the vehicle and then reinstalled, I strongly believe that some kind of damage was done to the transmission/differential when the engine was either removed from the car or reinstalled. Also, be aware that if any damage occurs to the loaner car provided by the shop, they will not work with your insurance. The shop will expect YOU to pay the FULL cost of the repairs and then you seeks reimbursement from your insurance. Sadly, I will no longer be relying on Cypress Coast Mazda-Subaru for any automotive repairs or vehicle purchases. I will also let all my friends and family know of my experience at this shop so they too can avoid this business. I suggest making the slightly longer drive to Subaru of Santa Cruz. You can easily file a complaint online with the Bureau of Automotive Repairs if you have had any issues with Cypress Cost Mazda-Subaru.
Matt in service did an outstanding job of keeping me informed. My service experience was personalized and pleasant.
Walked in with a defective battery. They took my car and replaced and updated everything. Awesome experience for a not so awesome day!
Very prompt service with an appointment. Gives feedback quickly with a friendly and professional service people.
My car was part of the recent recall for the steering columns on certain Outback and Legacy vehicles. I was visiting this area when I heard about the recall. Subaru roadside assistance helped with having my car towed to this dealership as it was the closest service location. When it arrived, the service team explained how the recall would work and arranged a loaner vehicle for me. They called me when the work was completed and as far as recalls go, I think everything went well. They made what was an unfortunate event as painless as possible.
Always great service. Reliable, knowledgeable and caring staff.
I have been very pleased when I take my Crosstrek for my periodic maintenane service. The staff are very friendly and informative about the work that was done on my car and my car was cleaned when I got it back!
Had a very nice no-rush, no-pressure trade in and sales experience with Matt. Very helpful and informative, and I’m very happy with my new Subaru!
If I could give less than one star then I would. I really wanted to purchase a Subaru as my first new car purchase, however since my lack of a credit score they flat out said they cant sell me a car. And the salesman Kamal was quite rude, he didnt run my information through the Subaru dealership to even see if I had any options for financing, nor did he inquire if I had been approved for a loan, which I had been. He wasnt interested in how much I could put down either. He did not want to sell me a car which was quite unfortunate. This dealership WILL NOT work with you for financing, and from start to finish the salesmen were rude. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone.
Top notch car buying experience with the help of sales associate, Michael D. and manger, Larry . Loving every ride in my new Crosstrek!
My tires were low on air pressure and I didnt understand the kPa pressure reading. I stopped in without an appointment; the service department was not too busy. I explained my situation to Matt, the service advisor. He got me into a bay, had my tires brought up to proper pressure and showed me how to change my pressure readings from kPa to psi. He was very helpful and got me on my way pithing 5 or 10 minutes. Matt was great!
We went to turn in a lease of a subaru we got at the dealership three years ago. Instead of being cordial or even trying to sell us a new car they were rude and turned us away. I had to call the bank and verify that the car could indeed be turned in. They lost a customer.
Cypress Subaru has great staff and make scheduling service extremely easy.
Bobby from the parts department helped me to get my key code for my 93 Legacy. He was very helpful and accepted my transfer of ownership and DL pictures through email to save me from going down there. Great experience, friendly, fast and left my smiling.
Great, on time service and very thoughtful staff - pretty amazing for a dealership!
Staff were friendly and the process was simple and straight forward.
Nice guys every time I am here
Recently purchased a Subaru Forester at Cypress Coast. We had the best experience ever buying a new vehicle. No pressure, friendly service and they searched the area for exactly what we wanted. Thank you, David and Ivan!
I OWN A 2015 CROSSTREK THE GUYS FROM CYPRESS COAST ALWAYS MAKE SURE TO TAKE CARE OF ALL MY NEEDS VERY FRIENDLY AND DEFINATELY TRUSTHWORTHY I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM FOR ALL YOUR SUBIE NEEDS
Great sales team, made the purchasing experience quite enjoyable. I highly recommend this place!
Had my Mazda service here and the people were all super nice and helpful. Theres even a shuttle service to drop you off and pick you up, you just need you coordinate with them.
It was good. Helpful friendly and comfortable waiting room.
We really had a positive experience at Cypress Coast. Reggie & Dave were amazing.
My second Subaru. Aside from being a great car, the dealer has outstanding service.
They offered me 2.99% APR on a loan because my credit history was light. Barely budged when haggling. Took my business to Reno Lithia Subaru because they accepted my offer and gave me 0% APR because I qualified for it (that means I qualified for it at Cypress Coast, too). From a 3 Star to a 1 Star EDIT: After receiving a phone call stating they would come down in their price (for me), I brought my friend back in an attempt to help them earn her business since I had gone elsewhere. She wanted a couple different vehicles; we settled on an Outback. However, due to her financial situation, Kamal and everyone else at the dealership flat out refused to sell her a car. It was a one time credit application that was submitted, and then (these were his exact words) I cant even sell you a car. There was no help, there were no suggestions; there was only an open door waiting for us to exit from. And boy, am I glad we did! We received much better service at Honda just down the way.So thanks, Kamal! Our $30k purchase went straight from you to Honda, and we couldnt be happier.
I brought my Outback in for its first service. I scheduled it online for 1:00pm, brought it in a little early, and was told they would work on it after everyone was back from lunch at 1:00pm. I was told it would take an hour. I walked over to Costco expecting to use up the time but was out of the dealership only 30 minutes when they called to say the car was ready. I like that the service personnel wear uniforms and are polite. It says to me they pay attention to customer service.
Great service. Easy to get to. Matthew was awesome.
Great place, excellent staff, fast and friendly will help you with pretty much anything you need, definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking to buy a car and have a good dealer experience.
I was told I needed my clutch replaced (for $1000) when, based on an estimate from another mechanic, I in fact do not. I would give them only one star if that hadnt provided me a free rental car, although I was clearly and knowingly overcharged for the service. I will likely not return to this Mazda dealer in the future for service or sales if I can avoid it
Needed a car quick, did some research on wagons and SUVs and went shopping. I bought locally mostly because of the situation I was in but ended up with a good car and did not feel shorted. The best selection at the time was at Subaru, and the best help was from Billy. The man knows a lot about Subarus and other cars too. Billy keeps his promise not to blow up my phone when I gave him the number while I was still in the research part. Hes the right guy for the job. He and Marco made the whole experience pleasant. I recommend at least giving them a chance before heading to Santa Cruz or San Jose for a Subaru.
Battery needed replacing 6 mos after purchase, according to my regular and trusted mechanic. I texted my salesperson to discuss (after a phone call), but after no response, went directly to Cypress Coast Subaru service dept. The mechanic confirmed and suggested I speak with sales re: bad battery, since this was obviously not a good situation. So I did, and they (2 persons) tried to blame me; really bad customer service! Why did they assume I would try to deceive them? He then undermined their own service dept. by telling me to buy a new battery at CostCo, which sales then installed for free.
Good service and don’t have to long for my car to be done!!
The personnel at Cypress have always been super friendly and accommodating. They give attention to the customer and go the extra mile. And Yorkies are welcome..
Its 5 pm, its the final day of summer holiday, Ive just in the last hour noticed that a headlamp on my Mazda has failed, and later that night I have a mountain-pass drive to get home. With anything but optimism I pull into Cypress Coast Mazda and - in an effort that goes waaaaay beyond the call of duty, a mechanic rolls the car into the repair bay, manager comes out, explains which parts need replacing (certain Mazdas have serviceability challenges - the headlamp assembly is made up of multiple parts and in some strange kind of engineering perversness, requires access by way of the wheel well) and within 15 mins of pulling into the dealership, a very impressed customer is on his way. This is the kind of exemplary customer service - and professionalism - that makes all..ALL...the difference in the world! Well done Cypress Coast Subaru/Mazda! ! ! My sincere thanks...tom p
Never answer calls in service. Called multiple times over multiple days with no answer at all.
Service center is more Subaru, and they dont service Mazdaspeed cars. Very friendly service staff.
They have had my car for 15 months and still havent repaired it. Enough said!
Great friendly employees who value your time.
On a good day a salesman might come out to help you. Otherwise your on your own.
Great place to purchase or lease a Subaru!!!
I want to buy a WRX STI 2015 😆
Super helpful and courteous staff
Only place I go to get my Subaru serviced!
Nice and knowageble people
Great service. Get the car fixed up right.
Eight days to have my oil changed. Not good at all!
Service is always outstanding!
Hunter took time to answer a difficult question, and to follow up with Subaru to get an answer.
New return sticker not on windshield. What else did he forget?
Best experience ever
