We showed up about a half hour before close, and the owner stayed after close to help me and my friend understand how to make our first batch of cider. He really explained all of the ingredients and the full process, one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had in a long time. So far, the cider is looking good!
Perfect spot to get your supplies. Reasonable prices. Knowledgeable owner. You can mill your grains. Hell even adjust it for you. Everything you need to brew beer is here even cider/wine presses.
It was...ok. They had what I needed, but I felt the grains were disorganized. The crush was not great and I got less than 80% conversion after an hour (usually my process gets me about 99%). I also did not realize until I got home that the yeast I had bought had a best-by date of over a month and a half earlier. After 2 full days in a starter on my stir plate there was no activity, so I had to go buy another packet.
Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Very knowledgeable on beers, mead, and wine. Whether youre new or been brewing awhile, great place to go for your supplies and recipes!
Great service! Nice, helpful & knowledgeable staff. Wobderful place!
I love this store - I get my bottles here, fresh yeast and the grain card program is really handy. I love the equipment you can rent for Apple and Grape processing. It’s a north Seattle gem. Friendly staff.
Always friendly and full of knowledge. This is a great store to shop for all experience levels.
Super friendly and helpful folks. Ill definitely be back next time I need brewing materials.
I was in and out in minutes, I just needed the one thing, but it smelled great and, I could feel knowledge and helpfulness seeping out of the shopkeepers. I will return. The parking here is weird but manageable. It looks like a new sidewalk was put in by SDOT without regard to the businesses need. One may exit through the alley adjacent from the building and then you find yourself at Pagliacci! Win.
Ok selection for small place. Cant beat conveniencw
Great customer service. Very helpful and they have a huge supply of home brew grains and equipment.
Great guy, had what I was looking for in stock.
Nice place to get your brew on, very helpful emplees.
Good selection and helpful staff.
Incredibly helpful staff! Great experience overall!
Very friendly and knowledgeable. Parking is limited and tight.
Good customers services
This place is great. Super friendly, and always happy to reserve supplies for me when I call ahead. Theyve also been great about special ordering yeast, etc. They also started a punch card deal which makes it even easier to support a local grew shop.
Great for malt grains and related beer making ingredients.Good selection of grains.
This store has everything Ive ever gone in for, and the staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend supporting this shop!
Absolutely the best place to buy home brewing supplies & ingredients. They also have a collection of recipes w/ copies to keep. Their staff always has good advice and actively listen to my experiences. They also have prices rivaling any online brewery supply site and they have their own site as well; plus they have a lot more in-store items than listed on their site.
Super friendly staff. Helped me find just what I was looking for.
Great folks and supplies. Seemed to have an attitude issue in the past but over the last few years its been a non-issue. Small shop always seems to have what I need.
The staff was helpful and the selections were great. If homebrew isnt your thing they have other options like homemade soda, wine, and preservative kits.
Great staff and a good selection of hope and yeast.
They have a great selection of grain and have always been helpful with advice on a substitution or looking up a recipe thats not in their file/bin thing. The prepaid grain card is a pretty good deal and essentially gives you every fifth batch for free.Theyve got plenty of bottling supplies and basic fermentation equipment like buckets and carboys but their selection of kettles is a little lacking (small 8 gal kettle for extract or expensive blichman setup I think). The store itself isnt super nice and can be a little cramped if there are more than a couple people in the grain area but you are brewing, not shopping for a coach purse.
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful in walking me through their wide variety of ingredients, and answering all of my questions with helpful, detailed information. 10/10 would recommend!
Amazingly helpful staff, especially considering some of the odd requests Ive made of them. They really have everything you could realistically require for any type of beer you might want to brew. Great library too!
The best place to get supplies for your beer making. The staff is helpful and the selection is great!
They have a pretty decent selection of cheesemaking supplies. I was able to find basically any culture or additive I was looking for, even though this isnt the main focus of the store.
Great spot and location. Good ingredients and selection, really helpful staff.
Knowledgeable, i went for cheese making supplies. Nice.
Great brew store, well stocked with beer and wine supplies and helpful knowledgeable staff.Grain cards give slight discount on grains. They have some cheese, vinegar, and kombutcha supplies as well.
Everyrhing for DIY fermenting: beer, wine, kombucha, cheese. A wealth of experience from the staff and very professional equipment. Lots of supplies and how to books.
Great place to get your start homebrewing. Theyre very patient with their customers and will answer all of your questions, no matter how dumb they seem.
Came here to get some nozzles and growler fill tubes for a new set up ive been working with and low and behold they had everything i needed and the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly ever gave me his personal number to call for any question or help. AWESOME 👍
Good selection of supplies, fun to browse and learn something new. Their grape crusher-stemmer machine is a wonderful time saver and a painless rental.
Great stock. Great discount on bulk grains
Best Homebrew supply store in town. Knowledgeable staff and a relaxed atmosphere.
Great place to grab all things home brew. The staff is super knowledgeable and friendly.
These folks are experts on all things re home brewing. Tons of equipment and supplies, recipes and ideas. Always willing to help with my myriad newbie questions.
Ive been in a few times over the last few years, looking for chemicals for non-brewing purposes - I havent always found what I wanted, but Ive always enjoyed the visit.
Helpful and knowledgeable staff.
Good stock, great service, good prices.
Decent selection and prices. Ambivalent staff.
Great store, Great staff.
I stopped in today to get a few supplies to start brewing my own kombucha at home. They were helpful, and had everything I needed.
Everything you need to make great beer at home.
Ive been using the Cellar for years. Always friendly service and they meet all my needs. Support your local shops.
Theyre the only homebrew shop in Shoreline, but have limited equipment for sale. They have all of your common supplies and ingredients, and staff is helpful. Leaving from the parking lot, entering back onto Greenwood Ave can be a pain, when theres traffic.
Great advice, good stock of grain. Hop selection can be a little limited, but you can find a similar flavor to what you need
Has good stuff, mostly helpful staff, but super expensive.
One stop shop for all your brewing needs, if they dont have it, you dont need it... but if you want it, we can get
A homebrewers delight! Everything you need for a successful brew day!
Always helpful. Great place to shop for supplies.
Always helpful and cheery service. Really great selection of wine yeasts
This is the best brew supply store in the Seattle area. There is an incredible variety of ingredients, tools, fittings, etc in this place. Prices are a bit high but thats ok considering it is local.
No nonsense spot for most of your brewing needs. The staff is pretty helpful and theres plenty of gear for making beer, wine, cheese, and other fermented beverages.
Great homebrew shop. They always have whatever I am looking for and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly.
Excellent choice of brewing equipment and recipes. Great staff, always helpful and attentive.
They were very helpful in getting me everything I needed! The parking lot is a little small making it difficult to get out of though.
Seattles best brew store, especially on the North end. Beats Bobs in every metric: more grain, more gear, more information. That, and the people actually seem to want business. :)
One stop shop for beer or cider artist
Great selection of supplies for making beer, wine, cheese, and other things. The staff is helpful in answering questions and getting you what you need.
Friendly, knowledgable staff, and a huge selection of everything! They carry different kits, hops, yeasts, and everything you need to start.
The place is not well organized and cramped. They have all I need, but Bobs Homebrew is 20 times nicer ans worth the extra travel
Has pretty much everything you need for Homebrew beer, cider, mead, or wine.
My go to homebrew shop, the guys who work here are always really helpful.
Everything you need to brew wine, beer, kombucha.
Best place to get brewing supplies, staff are very helpful.
The owner is incredibly rude. Will never go their again.
Awesome people. Good supplies.
My favorite homebrew store. Lots of ingredients and knowledgeable staff.
This is my favorite homebrew store to visit. It doesnt seem large but has a lot of items once you figure out where everything is at.
Store has a lot of the needed ingredients needed for breeing but it is a bit small abd cluttered. Can be a little hard to find what you need
Good selection, Josh was friendly and helpful
