These guys are incredible. I called to make a request for a job I was planning and they took the time to discuss everything I would need to complete it. When I came to pick it up, one of their mechanics gave me tons of helpful advice to do the job right, knowing they werent even doing the work. I even forgot the gap he recommended for the spark plugs, called back DAYS after my final parts purchase and they went to go ask the mechanic what the proper gap was! For a fourteen year old boat, its running like its brand new and a lot of it is thanks to these guys. If youve got a Volvo Penta engine in your boat and need a place to help, these are the guys. Top notch folks. I came all the way over to Washington from Louisiana to look at a boat to buy for my fishing charter. Part of the process was inspections at Coastal Marine Engine. They were helpful, responsive, and professional through the entire process. One of their service guys, Cody, let me watch as he did the work and taught me a lot about the boat as he went. The owner Martin was present both in the office and the yard. Taking part in the entire process and working with me as the client. Willow in office was on point with emails and any information I needed along the way. I highly recommend these folks. They are friendly and professional.

Did what they said they were going to do - figured out what was wrong and got our boat running! And right on schedule. Wish I had found these guys sooner. Worth every penny.

Extremely helpful owner and staff! While hauled out at Canal Boatyard I attempted some engine maintenance. They offered much skilled advice and a few spare hands at no cost. I would definitely recommend!

Excellent work, great staff. Knowledgeable. Prompt on emails, parts orders. If you have your boat pulled for work in the boat yard, it can get pricey but the work will be done very well.

Coastal Marine was recommended by a friend for servicing our small Volvo Penta powered boat. One advantage is mooring on the lake, trailering is a pain and it was nice to have the option to have them pull the boat, service and put back in the water.After numerous attempts to contact them, they finally returned a call. Then come to find out that they charge by the foot to pull the boat and then by the hour out of the water, ON TOP OF the service charges. This would have been exceedingly expensive. I get it, they would prefer it on a trailer, but I also get it that Seattle Boat doesnt charge for that same service.We were going with Coastal because they were recommended by a friend who has been pleased with them in the past. And, in full disclosure, we didnt have any service there, so cant testify to their actual service, just their added costs seem ridiculous.With that said, it is a business, and if they are busy as heck, which it seems they are, and they dont need the business, this is one way they have of screening out small jobs. Certainly their right, but be aware there are other options on the lake.

Totally botched an outboard motor and cable installation. If you are looking for people that have no idea of what they are doing then this is the place. They call themselves Coastal MARINE but dont seem to know much about boats. How could someone cover up the access to the drain plug with their choices in cable routing? I honestly believe they are clueless. Probably would have had better results letting an oil change boy or car stereo installer kid do the job.The un-answered question is: What are they going to do to remedy the situation?
