Normal Indian store. Should update the advert though. No meat sold inside, but I was there on a Sunday.
Mostly expired stuff and super smelly. Avoid if you can
The store is in pretty bad shape. Broke down and dirty. Items probably are expired and nothing is fresh.
I loved supporting this local Indian, Middle Eastern and Asian grocery store. We enjoyed chatting with the owner for a while. Sure, its not as sparkling clean as your usual supermarket, but isnt it better to support local? Also I cannot attest to the meat or dairy products since I am vegan. But I will be returning here often because of a recent cookbook I bought called 660 Curries, and Im gonna need curry leaves. Ever tried finding those at QFC? 😂
Not sure why this place has bad reviews--the owner stayed open late for me after I called, which was so sweet! He was so helpful and this place has everything that you need for Ayurvedic/Indian cooking. Dont expect to find what you need at the majority of even the co-op/organic stores around here; this place is a no-frills gem that is affordable and get you what you need to make some good food!
Staff is very helpful
Good foods and fresh halal meats. Service is excellent.
Very good selection of Indian groceries and very helpful owner.
Items are very old
I think, that they have good fresh goat/lamb meat. My family thought that lamb meat was smelly meat, but some one was saying that they are selling good meat now, So finally i bought it, and the meat was good i love it even my family also love it taste was good. In my words and what I think is that they have really good meat..... :) and i recommend to buy meat and anything from continental spices and the owner are also helpful.
They have the best selection of Indian groceries Ive found in north Seattle yet. Prices are probably the best, too. The owner is nice and very helpful with suggestions.
There are some expired products here. Be careful and check the dates please.
I went here to pick up some fenugreek in a pinch. The owner there does not appear to have many social skills required to operate a customer-facing business. He was rude in terms of greeting. I have had the same experience when calling on the phone looking for curry leaves. The place seems to be somewhat haphazardly operated with prices which appear to be set randomly. I wish that it were a better run business given their are not many Indian and Pakistani groceries in the vicinity. If you have an option, do your Indian grocery shopping on the Eastside e.g. Apna Bazaar or Mayuri Foods.
Very dishonest owner. Lied on phone to get me to the store by promising there is fresh goat meat and all there was at the store was the frozen one. The meat cooked really bad, ruined my home party and when I talked to the owner, he gave random excuses such as it was Australian goat.. The other time, lied on phone to promise the availability of boneless meat and all there was at store was with bone. Not visiting again.
Imtiaz the man at the counter is also from Karachi. Super helpful and friendly. The choices and prices are good for the area.Joy of Joys, he sells National Brand spices, and Tapal Tea !!!
Worst store ever!!!!!!! Bad service, stinks of urine, out of stock for most of the stuff, the owner is really rude!!!! Owner accused me of stealing and demanded to search me!!!!!! Store floor is slippery and sticky!!!!! The meat smells old!!! PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE!! OLD PRODUCE AND THEE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE BY FAR!!!!
Nice supply of pre-mix spice packets (ie for rogan josh, masala, etc) but the standalone spices were much more expensive than what I have seen in similar stores. Not a huge supply of fresh/frozen meat, but they do have goat.
Very nice and reliable supply of indian spices and Halal meat.
We get good quality fresh Halal meat. I Went to other shop as well But its not fresh as here. I would recommend purchasing Halal meat at-least from here. Rest of the other items are also good quality with competitive price. I usually go here every 3 or 4 week ... The Owner Amjad Bhai and Farooq bhai are brother and recently purchase this shop about 1 yrs or so..,
Don’t ever buy meat here. It’s a old stock they sell and it’s smells.
Went there during normal working hrs reported at web but shop was closed. No one picks up phone either. Disappointed
Was really optimistic about it, went during their alleged open hours to find that it was actually closed with no explanation. Not really useful to me if I cant count on them being open when they say they will.
Limited spice options for a specialty place. Also had never heard of many of the spices and pastes I was looking for.
I spent over $150 on fresh meet before Ramadan unfortunately the meet had the worst smell and quality I cooked only once and I had to trash the rest.
Smelly store, nasty product( Meat ) thats all I have for you .if you dont believe me go spend your money at this store and you will find out the hard way .and if you go there please walk into the Bouchers area its in the back of the store first before you buy and let your eyes decide for you .if you are looking for halal meat or better product go to HT market at oak tree just few blocks north from this guy .
The store smelled like something rotten. Gross.
Over priced and dirty.
